Intro.
Here is the main thread for talking about Neji and Tenten and their relationship together. Tell us what you think...were these two meant to be? or is it too soon to say? Tell us what you think ^^
Tenten
Tenten has always been supportive of Neji and has praised him for his skills. For example, during the Chuunin exams she helped him train and when it was his match she cheered him on and had no doubt that he wouldn't win (although he did sweatdrop ). These actions show that Tenten feels something for Neji whether it's friendship or love has yet to be confirmed.
Neji
Neji on the other hand, like Sasuke was blinded by the hatred he held for the head family. After his fight with Naruto, he softened up somewhat so at least now there is a chance that he could fall for Tenten if not already.
A perfect match?
I think that Neji and Tenten make a perfect pair. Neji, again like Sasuke, has never showed any interest in girls. During the Chuunin exams Ino tried to seduct him with her beauty but he was quick to reject her. Yet, while he rejects her he and Tenten train together and support each other. This tells us that while Neji rejects the other girls, he still has respect for Tenten. I am guessing it's probably because unlike the other girls she isn't as obsessed with her looks and such during missions or training. This gives Tenten the advantage because it means out of all the girls Neji feels more fondly towards her which gives her the advantage. They are perfectly compatible for each other. Besides all the facts though, they look adorable together!!! =3

For Neji to allow a girl to train with him, I think that gives enough of an answer during the chuunin exams. I'm pretty sure, if Lee was replaced with another girl who was exactly like Tenten, but it was Ino or Sakura, being in his team instead of Lee (OMFG, imagine that...) Neji would STILL choose Tenten, being that as you had remarked earlier, Tenten is very different then the other girls. She falls into her own category. As Hinata does but that'd be incest. (Though I can tolerate NejiHina::Hyuugacest) Besides. Hinata is with Naruto. smile
Neji was only interested and just about commented on Tenten and Tenten's fight only during the chuunin exams. Even if she lost, he did say that she fought well. It's better than nothing, if you ask me.
Neji and Tenten was always kinda on the 'Same team' or 'Same side' when it came to Gai and Lee. Being all lovey-dovey, mushy, happy, waterfall tears with waterfalls, Springtime of Youth, and all the 'Ping'-ing. So, one could definitely sperate Neji and Tenten on their own side when it comes to be compared to Gai and Lee, in certain cases. As to sperate their team into two sides equally. So yes, Neji and Tenten do support eachother, in a very unique way.
Wow. No one posts about the actual pairing either...shame...

Haha those two crack me up! blaugh But yes they are definitely on the same side when it comes to those two. When Lee showed a flashback of him and Gai in the backround Neji and Tenten both sweatdropped when they hugged/cried.
3nodding Your also right about how Neji didn't comment about anyone else's battle I believe. I didn't notice it at first but I think your right.

I also thing he would still choose Tenten. Tenten seems more tomboyish than the other girls. I couldn't see him trying to tolerate Ino (Not a bash on Ino. I love Ino. <3). I couldn't see him tolerating Sakura at first, but later he would. Of course, Neji is similar to Sasuke personality wise, so I think that if Sasuke could handle Sakura, so could he. He's cousins with Hinata (and I'm not a big fan of NejiHina), and if they live in the same area, I don't see why they would be paired up.
Tenten seems so much like Neji's type. She knows how to handle his attitude more than anybody else, she's not very girly, and she seems to support him, as he does her. xD To me, they would have this silent relationship...as in they were together, but they would just act normal. Not like they were keeping it a secret, just they'd act more like friends then they do a couple.
xD NejiTen is just so....right.

Your right i've always thought Neji to be kinda like Sasuke what with wanting revenge on the head family (Itachi) and all.

I agree. I think Sasuke's situation was worse, though.
And Tenten does have a girlish side to her...but she IS a girl. xD I like how they flare each other's ego. Tenten always compliments Neji's fighting, and Neji always comments on how good of an aim Tenten has with the weaponry. xD It's like they brag about each other.
I could so see them doing this is the future:

About the Neji and Sasuke thing, I actually wrote and finished a Ficcy for it. xD It's not bad, but not very good. I set them up as pranksters with the NejiTen and SasuSaku romance...NaruHina and ShikaIno were in the last chapters...
ANYWAY...I would absolutely be able to see that happening. Very well. But then all the fangirls would be jealous, like this one girl on YouTube that calls herself Neji's Girlfriend/Wife/Fiance'. I have to hold in my anger to kill her.
Neji actually does comment on the Sakura and Ino fight...I think...I can't remember...All I can remember is that he talked alot (Alot in Neji's case when it comes to girls...wait...scratch that...talking in the first place.) when Tenten fought. That shows how much he knows her. I'm sure if Tenten was sad, the first person who would actually come and care for her, truly, and actually be able to comfort her, it'd be Neji. Lee and Gai would come too, but they'd be too much of a racket, and give Tenten a headache. I believe that Tenten would actually be surprised at Neji's sympathy, sooner or later.
Also...Remember that time when Neji was training in the woods with his Byakugan? Counting the birds and stuff? It was around when Tsunade came to be the Hokage. TENTEN CAME! And she offered him to see Tsunade! And guess what? HE TURNED THE OFFER DOWN! scream (The nerve of him. stare You willl pay for this Neji... evil ) But that's not the point. The point is, TENTEN CAME!! She CAME! She CAME to NEJI! NE-JI! HYU-U-GA NE-JI! THE HYUUGA NEJI! Out of all the people she could of asked (Including girls) She chose Neji to be with her to see Tsunade! The REAL Tsunade--Eh...wait...I sound like a Tsunade fan as big as Tenten is. (Not that I don't like Tsunade. I love her. She defines 'Girl Power' Entirely) Now, she could of asked Sasuke, who she had complimented earlier, but I say that was because it was cute how he was standing up to Neji, or his looks was cute as in adorable like a little kid. He didn't even ask Lee. Now, see you LeexTenten fans?

xD I don't think she would've asked Sasuke. Sure, I think she thinks that he's cute, but Sasuke's character is popular, so all of the girls (except Hinata. <3) think he looks good.
She doesn't know Sasuke at all, and to me, Tenten isn't the kind of person to go up to a random somebody and say, "Hey, you wanna come see Tsunade with me?"
I think that even though she loves Lee (TEAMMATE/FRIEND-LIKE. >> I'm no LeeTen fan!), she'd rather spend time with Neji because he's more calm and less...>> well...like Lee.
xD It was a shame he turned her down.
Also...when he was brought back to Konoha nearly dead...I wonder how Tenten reacted? I mean, they had to do some SERIOUS work to keep Neji alive. And I'm sure that Tenten heard at least that he was badly injured.
