The day had grown old by the tim the young male roused from his nap beside the waters edge. The sound of the small waterfall had lulled Kiamba'Roho into a gentle slumber a few hours early but now he was quite ready to enjoy the rest of the day and the beginning of nightfall. The setting sun illuminated the green leaves of the canopy above as reddish rays of light filtered through to speckle the jungle floor. Oh yes, this was Roho's favorite time of day.
Rolling onto his stomach and rising to his full height the juvenile stretched out his body. The male had changed signifigantly since his cubhood. He had been born the largest of the litter but his small lanky fram eof a cub was nothing compared to the much more bulky and muscular frame he now sported. Roho was still the largest of the brothers which wasn't unexpected. He wa smuch more physical that his brothers and spent a large portion of his time just bounding around the jungle getting into trouble and testing his strength. These little bouts though had caused him to get into many the predicaments but nothing that he couldn't get out of, especially with father not far away. Then again, Kiamba wasn't the most smartest of the brothers. Oh no, he was brawn, Ororo was the brains, but that suited the young male fine. His courageous and impulsive nature was just right for the largest of the trio and he had gotten use to being the brunt of Ororo's jokes. Besides, if Ororo bothered him too much a good wack with a paw and the younger brother was easily pinned. Ah, those were sweet moments in Roho's mind.
Moving to the water's edge Roho lowered his body and lapped up the cool liquid. Droplets collected upon his maw before dripping onto the reflective surface of the river before the male pulled away and shook out his mane. Yes, that mane of his was something he was most proud of. It was growing thick and he much enjoyed the deep ebony hue it had taken. Now he didn't look as much like his father, but there was still a strong resembalance. It wasn't hard to figure out that Kiamba'Roho was the son of Matifu.
Having eased his parched throat Roho's gaze turned to that of the trees around him. What would he do today? Maybe a trip to the plains? Prey was much easier to hunt there he had found out, but his hunting skills were still very poor. It was rare the young male took down anything but it was still a wonderful test of skills, but he had just done that yesterday. He needed something new. But what? The Jungle didn't hold alot of things for a gowing lion to explore. Roho had pretty much extingushed all sources of amusement already.
"This jungle can be so dull." He muttered to himself as he slowly padded through the foliage.

A white and tanned blur blew past overhead, a loud, young female voice and then a laugh calling out loudly through the trees to preceed a loud splash that would soon follow.

"WHOOHOOOOOOOO!!"

SPLASH!! Something landed in the pool at the base of the falls. A few moments of silence spanned afterwards with just the gentle bubbles and wild ripples of Kiva's arrival to proove that someone had just entered the scene.

SPLASH!

Oh yea, that got th eyoung males attention. There was no way that such a sound could have been created by a fish.

Turning sharply, Kiamba caught the last few sprays of water from whatever it was that impacted upon the surface. There was no sign of a log or anything so it couldn't have been something that floated down the waterfall.

With a peek of curiosity and ahint of excitement, Roho padded back over to the water's edge and looked down at his reflection trying to peer beyond the reflective surface in hopes of discovering somethine interesting.

Maybe the day wouldn't be a complete loss afterall. He mused.

She surfaced moments later, an energetic erruption of white and tans, wings struggling free and splaying out to send droplets of water out in all directions. She didn't usually get to let loose like this, but sometimes her urge to be a child just got to be too strong for her. She didn't seem to notice that she might've interrupted anyone, let alone that someone was just leaving the area.

She let loose another laugh, bangs dripping into her eyes. She tred water for a bit before moving in blindly towards the shore, too overwhelmed by her own enjoyment to notice Roho right away. She bumped right into him nose to nose in her attempt to climb out, and inhaled sharply, freezing where she stood.

Roho was completely an dutterly shocked by what he was seeing. Not only had a lioness appeared from the watery depths, but said lioness was gorgeous! And those wings...wait...wings?! Roho did another look and sure and hell there were wings there! A godess! But, he thought that the immortal never showed themselves to mortals. Atleast to mortals who had no reason of seeing them.
Completely frozen in place due to his thoughts and shock, Kiamba hadn't even noticed the lioness coming at him until she ran right into him. Eyes widened in shock as he took in a sharp breath and took a step back from the deity. That had to be the one and only time Roho had backed away from anything but this lioness had achieved a hint of fear from the male. Though it wasn't a fear that was unhealthy or unnormal. Oh no, this was the fear of boy meets girl. Hormones were on the fritz the way it was and now Kiamba was standing in front of an immortal who was quite good looking. Then again, Kiamba didn't come into contact with many females due to the lack of them in the pride, well lack of free ones anyway.
Trying to get his bearings, Kiamba shook himself out of his stupor and closed a jaw that had unnoticably been dropped open. Carefully he took a step forward towards the maiden. "Uh, Hello." Oh yea, great way to start. Then again, he wasn't his silver tongued brother.

Kiva finally reached a tan tipped paw, brushing her bangs out of her eyes to gaze at the boy who wasn't really a stranger. She'd recognize that coloring anywhere. The boy who looked as if he'd fallen right out of his father's mane...

"Hi," She offered with a smile. "you're Kiamba'Roho, right?"

Roho was a bit shocked that he knew his name, but quickly recovered by telling himself that of course she would know his name, she was a Goddess after all. "Yes, I am." He said, slowly gathering his confidence back as he moved towards her again. Eyes traveled over the feathery appendages that adornedhis back. "And you are a Goddess I assume. But what is your name?" Oh yea. real smooth. Ah well, he could only be his jovial, over-confident self right?
"Wait! I probably should ask you that. You -are- a Goddess afterall. So what are you doing here? I though tthe immortals only showed themselves to seers and all." He said as he walked up to her more practically face to face. Oh yes, Kiamba was getting back his confidence and was letting his mouth get a head of him.

"I don't see why not, you guys are my pride," She smiled, voice a little meek. "No reason I should hide myself from you all, right? Um..."

Kiva felt her face flush underneath her fair fur, and took a subconcious step back only to find her paw meeting with water again. So she stood there, hindleg half raised, looking back face to face with Kiamba.

"I'm Kiva,"

Roho stood there stock still staring at Kiva. So -she- was their Goddess? The prides Goddess which he had been told so many stories about. Wow...

Getting his tonue in working motion again and snapping his jaw back up into place Roho blinked before trying to salvage his rather unmanly display a moment ago. "So...so you're Kiva. I never imagined I'd meet the goddess of our pride." He mumbled out. "Well, I must say you met the best of the brothers." A cocky smirk spread across his maw as he puffed out his chest. "I am the strongest of the three...wait...I -am- the first you have met...right?"

Kiva tried to keep a straight face-- really she did! --but the fact that Kiamba and Ororo both said the same thing about themselves to her, unknowingly, it was just too much. She couldn't help the ear to ear grin.

"Not exactly." She coughed, banishing the grin for now. "I've met your younger brother, Ororo'Lisani..." She grinned again and moved around Kiamba, walking past at a fairly close range. "You two are a lot alike..."

Kiamba deflated himself at the mention of his brother. "Oh, so you met -him- first. Bet he bored ya to....Wait! Did you just say we are alike?" He looked at the Goddess with wide eyes of shock. "We are -nothing- like each other. We're complete opposites! He does all the thinking (Most which would give me a headache) and I just take care of the brawn of a situation. Thinking things through is just no fun at all. I am sure you would agree?" He looked at Kiva with hopeful eyes.

"Well.... I'm actually not very strong, I have to rely on my mind if I end up in a tough spot, but to each their own is what I believe."

She sighed softly, glancing away.

"I... I should go. I should be getting back to my duties now. But I'll maybe see you another time."

An uncertain smile, and she didn't give much room for argument. As she turned, she quickly bolted off into the trees and away from the akward conversation.
