Well it's been a while since I've dropped by here, and I figured I'd give everyone the latest update of my adventures in preggy land.
There's good news! My blood pressure has been doing better lately. It's not absurdly high anymore, and is almost resembling normal most of the time. Still on bed rest for safety's sake, but that's okay. It gives me lots of time to do online shopping. The Avon company must love me by now.
But...there's some not so good news too. Kylie's gotten big. Fast. They say she's over 6 pounds right now, and they suspect I've turned diabetic. So, today, I get to back and have the glucose test redone. Now, if you remember from way back when I first had it done, it was a less than pleasant experience involving me wondering if I was going to die in the waiting room. I think right now I'm more scared of this test than I am of the birth.
Anyhow...did any of y'all experience the fetal hiccups thing? I think mine's doing that...'cause there's sometimes a little rhythmic pulsing kind of thing. From my web research, it seems to be fetal hiccups. I'd read about it, but it's a whole 'nother story to feel it. Bizarre. Cute, but bizarre. whee
UPDATE:
I'm back from the appointment...and I got this really nice guy doing the tests. He told me I probably drank the stuff too fast last time. And, well, I doubted him, but I drank slower this time around, and sure enough...I felt fine!
I won't know the results until at least a couple days, but at least the testing itself went okay. I worried all for nothing.
Thanks for the support everyone! whee

Fetal hiccups happened to me. They were kind of bizarre but nothing to really worry about. At least that's what my dr. told me. I hope you haven't gone diabetic, and I'm glad your blood pressure has gone down. I hope the test is less painful than the last time you took it. Those things truly suck! GOOD LUCK!

Make sure you remind them of your last experience Girl A, so they will be better prepared to give you a place to rest for awhile afterwards! I am crossing my fingers for you...I can't beleive you only have a month to go! whee As for the hiccups...I LOVED when my babies got them...it's so cute and with the Bebe monitor...I could actually hear them. I only heard Lexi's heartbeat with the thing twice (it's not very powerful at all) and never heard Brendan's with it but that didn't stop me from listneing to all the gurgles and swishes of them moving around in there.......it was so cool! Keep us posted!

Ditto what mermaid said! If you have any problems with any tests, be sure to make the nurses, doc, and technicians know so they can keep an eye out for it. I hope it goes well!
Yeah, the hiccup things are cute, except when you want to sleep! My husband used to love messing with me whenever Logan would be still and asleep. He'd come up and make a REALLY loud noise and get him going again. stare

Thank you...oh and don't worry, I'll be sure and remind them of the last time. Especially since while it was happening, I wasn't able to move or call out for help. Don't want to be stuck like that again.
I wish I had invested in a little monitor thingy...who knows, I still might. I'd love to know what the hiccups sound like. whee I just wish she'd get them at better times, it's almost always when I lay down to go to sleep. Oh well.
Anyhow, I have to leave soon for the tests...I'm so dreading it. I think it's the only test I fear worse than the results! xp I'll come back and update with everything later.
Thanks! 3nodding

We all will be thinking and praying for you. Hope the test goes well. I was told that if you have heartburn alot or if you child has the hiccups frequently, that means that they will be born with more hair. Did anyone else have that experience?

Well I've got both those symptoms like whoa and from the ultrasounds, baby has a lot of hair...even the tech-people are amazed at it. Anyhow...I'm back from the appointment...and I got this really nice guy doing the tests. He told me I probably drank the stuff too fast last time. It's great that all is well- bodies are so amazing! Did you know your heart doubles in size to pump the extra blood around!! (is it double or triple.....?scratches head......getting old...) heart pump heart
I had to edit that - I forgot to say WHAT doubles in size. Sorry to anyone who was confused (besides me, that is redface )

I'm hope that when the results come back that they are in your favour. My sis in law and my cousin had gestational diabetes and although it's a little complicated *you have to really pay attention to what you eat and how much you eat*, even if the results come back that you do have gestational diabetes, as long as you follow your doctor's nutritional advice, everything will be fine...plus, as soon as the wee one is born, you'll be back to normal and be able to eat whatever you please.
So good luck to you chica, and please let us all know what the results are...I'll be thinking of ya *huggles* smile

I hope your results are no diabetes. It really does suck having gestational diabetes. ^^ Even if you do, I'm sure you both will do just fine ^^
