A little cub bounced around outside of the den, her ears flopped lightly as she boucned in circles. Oh how long would it take for Mama to talk to Siltim? This was nerve wracking! Just the other sun ago, she seemed okay but she should have known better. Ma would not make a fool of herself in front of Yaten. Speaking of him, the emerald eyes glinted at a black coat near a tree and she edged towards it crouching in the grass. Thankfully it matched her coat quite nicely. Mai'sah looked about and placed her paws flat on the dirt and crept slowly towards her partner in crime with a glint in her eye.

Settled underneath a tree near the lion's den, Yaten felt a bit odd sharing room in the den which was why he was out here. Sitting there with his tail curled around his body, chocolate eyes were gazed forward while he was lost in thought. Poor Siltim, he could tell that the cub's mother was way overprotective of him and that accounted for Siltim's rebellious behavior with the stampede. An ear flicked as his sixth sense was telling him that someone was coming. Broken out of his daydream, chocolate eyes gazed around but spotted nothing out of the ordinary. But there, was a fleck of gold in a sea of green. Grinning mentally, he stay still while he waited to see what Ma'isah was up to.

A lopsided grin appeared on her face as she crouched lower to the ground and kicked at the dirt. Her mind raced with thoughts on how to 'correctly' pounce without much sound. Ma'isah saw another cub practicing once when she was with her father. Turning her head she gazed out past the tree and to Yaten. When silence covered the grass, she quickly lunged out and pounced on Yaten.

Rolling over to his side, Yaten dodged Ma'isah's tackle and flicked his tail at her tiny body. Laughing, chocolate eyes shone with a lit of happiness, "Hello to you, Ma'isah! How are you doing?" Sitting himself up, he looked at the little green cub before flicking his eyes towards the den where Siltim and his family was. Would he get to come out?

With a sigh she snapped her tail across the ground and looked to him. "You are fast! You dosged me!" With a little chuckled she nuzzled Yatena nd sat in front of him. Emerald eyes gazed to his chocolate colored and she tilted her head. Yes, she wondered abotu Siltim. It annoyed her how much her mother was attatched to him, as if he would die without her hovering over him every second. Rolling her eyes she spotted a butterfly and smiled. "Oh I dunno. Ma's speeches are usually long when involving Siltim. She loves him so much, sometimes it seems more then me and Shimah and Rami. But I don't care, she shouldn't be so protective. I am with him." She stared off at the distance and up in the sun, her smile returning to her muzzle.

Laughing at Ma'isah, Yaten flicked his tail before curling it around Ma'isah's little body and bring her close. "Your mom loves all of you equally, like all moms do. It's just your mom is too overprotective of your brother because he's small. I've seen it happen many times, it's a natural thing for mother's to worry about their smallest baby." He raised his paw and ruffled Ma'isah's head before he spotted Na'ilah coming out of the den without Siltim by her side. What was this?

Strolling through the den and towards her eldest child and the cheetah, Na'ilah couldn't help but smile. It was odd that her children's best friend was a cheetah and not a lion, but she would accept that. What she wouldn't accept was her children running off without telling her where they were going. Especially Siltim. Her runt of the litter who she worried over constantly, and then felt slightly guilty afterwards. Mika'il had told her that was the reason why Siltim was so unpredictable was because of her smothering, but she didn't want to believe it. Coming up to her daughter and the cheetah, "Hello Ma'isah, Yaten." Turning to the cheetah, "You can take Ma'isah out wherever she wants, but Siltim will not be going today. He's serving out his punishment with me."

Ma'isah cuddled against Yaten and purred before giggled and swiping her paw on his chest. He was her partner and crime. "Thanks Yaten. Did you ever have a fa-" The cub stopped as she saw her mother retreat from the den, without Siltim. Seeing her come near she looked up to her mother and blinked. Siltim couldn't join them!? "But 'Ma, me and Siltim left. Not just him! It isn't fair to leave him alone!" Her eyes grew big and the colors of the emerald shimmered. Why would she punish him, they just went on an adventure. That was all! She didn't even know about the stampede. Ouch, her bruise still hurt.

The ebony cheetah kept quiet as he nodded to Na'ilah. This was one battle he would stay out of at the moment. It wasn't his place and he knew it.

Lime green eyes stared at her daughter as Na'ilah replied in a soft voice, "The two of you left to wander off, yes. But, he isn't supposed to leave without letting me know of where he is off to, I worry! He can live one day without you around, Ma'isah. Go off and have fun." A soft sigh escaped from the green lioness as she looked to the silent cheetah.

Getting up, Yaten gently nudged Ma'isah to follow him, "Come on, Ma'isah. It wouldn't do any good to argue with your mom right now. Just let this one go, there are other things we can spend our time doing."

Sighing lightly she nodded to her mother and walked past her, saying nothing else. Her eyes burned like an emerald flame, her midn was filled with anger and contortion. Oh how could she do this?! Following after Yaten she shook her head. "See that is what I mean! She keeps him inside and I was part of it. Arrrrrrr." She tried to growl but noticed it came out in a puny sound. Ma'isah shook her head and tried again, nothing but the same sound. Bouncding after Yaten she nudged at his leg and walked besides him. "What shall we do Uncle Yaten?" She smiled and placed her paw on his sides.

As Na'ilah turned to walk back to the den, she called out over her shoulder, "A rock doesn't make a bruise like that, Ma'isah, a hoof does." Her daughter would get a talk from her as well, for lying.

Shaking his head, Yaten looked to Ma'isah. "If I know your brother, he won't be in there for long. Don't be so angry, your mom is just trying to do what she thinks is best. She's just new to motherhood. You'll see when you have cubs one day." Looking around and raising an eyebrow, "Uncle Yaten?" He let out a chuckle, "How about the watering hole?"

Gulping she heard ehr mother's words. How did she know? Siltim wouldnt' say what happened, she knew that. Her eyes landed on Yaten as she cringed and made an 'uh oh' face. Now she would hear a lecture. Boring. Nudgin him again she smiled and tilted her head. "Hmm the watering hole. Then.." She paused and stipped to look at him. Ma'isah was a little Trickster at heart. "Let's race! YAY!" She said and lunged out past him. Her little paws hit the earth as she raced with all her might to the watering hole.

Shaking his head, Yaten couldn't help but smile. When will these little lion cubs realize that cheetahs are about two times as fast as an adult lion. Not wanting to dampen her spirits any, the ebony cheetah loped after the cub at a steady pace, "I'm going to get you, Ma'isah! You'll never beat this cheetah!" He knew the watering hole was up ahead, and that meant tons of fun in the water!

Eyeing Yaten she blinekd and dashed off as fast as she coulod, then she saw him at her side and blinked. Her eyes grew wide and large. "OH MY! Yaten! You are the god of speed!" Ma'isah chuckled and felt her body try to keep up with his. Her mind shaking as she ran. The watering hole. Ah, she could see it now in the distance.

Laughing at the cub, Yaten replied, "Did I tell you that we cheetahs were fast? And I'm not even running as fast as I can." He loped over to Ma'isah and grabbed her by the scruff of her neck and picked her up. "Want to fly now, Little Green Monster?" He teased before dashing off into a full run to the watering hole.

Letting out a little screech, her emerald eyes widened as she shivered. Suddenly the feel of being weightless filled her stomach. Eyes opened as she looked around and squealed happily. She was flying! The fur on her neck was being held up by Yaten and she swung back to and fro. "Whoah! Yaten, you are really fast!" She smiled and placed her paws out in the open as if she was an eagle soaring past the deserts. Her eyes flicked to their emralds as the Watering Hole was in full view. "YAY! Play time!" She yelled out and saw the grass sway as Yaten ran, hi spaws pounding on the savannah. Oh how she wished she could run like that.
