There's a rumor going around that Tom Baker has asked the writers of the new episodes to bring him back into the new series....as--dun dun DUUUN--the newest reincarnation of The Master!

Personally, I think that it would be awesome to have Tom Baker back, and there's no doubt in my mind he could handle the role-reversal. I really hope this rumor comes true!

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH! I sure hope this turns out the smae way the rumours about Rose did. I'd LOVE to see Tom Baker as The Master. That would be their best idea yet.

OMFG i would LOVE this to be true. The Master was hilarious in the old series it'd be so ironic for an ex-Doctor to play him XD

It would also provide an absolutely colossal ratings boost. Even if it just a rumour they should take the idea and do it anyway.

I'd love to see Tom back on Dr. Who again, but as the Master?! I dunno, I just don't think he really looks the part...

in a newspaper artical in Australia, the writers of Doctor Who said that they are not letting anyone who played one of the old doctors back into the series to act. this might not be true because the newspapers in Aus are famous for getting things wrong. i hope the Tom Baker would come back. and it would be really intersting to see him play a villan. and i've always liked the Master so i hope they bring the Master back too.

i remember when we found that. and A week later I found that article about billie piper writing her memoirs (al-bloody-ready).
I still have that in my banjo case.
i'm going to burn it sometime soon.
like that time we burned our science projects and then had an all-night monty python marathon at phoebes.
that was brilliant.

who is that person standing next to him?
he looks very very familiar... I cant really put a name to him right now.

I hate to kinda burst the bubble but I'm pretty sure I read in several of the mags at work that they'd turned down his offer to be the Master...

Though I really hope they change their minds. I mean, if they're willing to do something as weird as the Love and Monsters episode surely they could take a chance with Tom Baker? They wouldn't even have to actually make him the Master. They could make him someone who thinks he's the Master.

And since he looks so different from what he did I don't think anyone could really say he looked like the 4th Doctor...
