The Medium
The silence had been a nice stretch. The Spirit Keepers had been quiet as of late - no bothering her and playing twenty questions with questions she had only answered about a million times in the last few months.

Of course, just when Medium was getting used to the blissful silence, that damned crystal ball had to set off it's soft pinging noise and light up the house like a disco.

Medium hated disco almost as much as she hated that crystal ball at the moment.

"I'm comin' you wretched piece of glass," Medium muttered under her breath, body gliding through the curtain of beads and to the crystal with a look of disdain on her face. Company was coming and she would have to do her best to look intimidating.

"Hate. Oh, this should be fun."

At least it was nighttime...Wait. WHY was it nighttime? Didn't the asinine Spirit Keepers come in the middle of the bright shiny afternoon?

Claudine
What a peaceful night this was. Such tranquility, the stars and the moon, the gentle sound of the ocean off in the distance...and the lack of living creatures. Claudine would have gone nuts if she hadn't already fed for the night!

Had this particular woman not already been insane she would have thought herself crazy to think that this crystal she'd font nights before was telling her to go somewhere. Damn was it lucky she didn't care about physical pain if it led her somewhere dangerous. Claudine stopped walking a few yards away from a very ugly looking house; who in their right mind would live here? With a sigh she fixed her gloves and smoothed out any wrinkles that were in the strapless blue gown she was wearing--she was glad she'd dressed like a woman ready for dinner instead of a barbarian ready for a fight--putting on the black coat she'd been carrying and walking up to the door. 'Welkom?' Whoever lived her must not be very bright...what the hell, little crystal? Sighing again the woman knocked. Might as well be polite.

The Medium
The door swung open with very little interlude from the knock and the Iridae stood in the door frame, long hair catching moonlight and seeming to almost glow around her dark skinned face and hollow black eyes. Her large wings were settled behind her, feathers floating down from the broken appendages.

"Mm."

It was the only sound the Iridae made as she turned and walked back into the cottage. The door was left open, an invitation for Claudine to enter with her. A dress? On the cliffs?

Perhaps she had a crazy one this time. Crazier than that OCD elf.

Claudine
Claudine didn't even blink when the woman opened the door. Was she an angel? She'd seen stranger. She followed the woman into the cottage, closing the door behind her and looking around. It certainly looked much nicer indoors than outdoors.

The crystal had stopped 'speaking' to her. This must have been the place."...You were expecting me?" She asked, raising a brow. A person didn't usually just make a sound and turn back inside to let the other person follow, normally you say 'Hello? Who's there? I don't know you!' What a strange woman.

The Medium
"Smart," came the droll, monotonous voice of the Iridae who turned around, "What's your name? I'm afraid my crystal isn't all knowing..."

Medium didn't bother waiting for an answer, simply slid herself through the curtain of beads, not a single one of them clinking together or so much as moving as she walked through. The crystal was tapped twice before it gave way to a dull sort of light.

Claudine
"Claudine Voisin." The woman answered simply as she watched the angel, following her through the beaded curtain and looking around. Crystal? What was she? A gypsy? What a strange woman.

"So you knew I was coming...why?" She asked with a raised brow, twirling the cord of her necklace around her finger. This wasn't going to be just a waste of time, was it? Hopefully she wouldn't be here too long and have to stay the entire day to wait for nightfall to go home.

The Medium
The Death Iridae turned to look at her, hollow eyes staring out of an emotionless face, "Because you're connected to one of my...Charges." she picked carefully, her voice never losing it's monotony.

Medium sat herself down on one of the sturdy chairs and crossed her arms. Why had she been stuck with this job? Fighting back a grumble, she continued, "We are Iridae. Guardians of everything on and off of Gaia. There's an Iridae for pain, hate, love...Death - that's me - life? You happen to have the soul of Hate around your neck. You're now a mother. Congratulations. Oh, and by the way, take the necklace off and it'll die. A large part of you will as well. How long have you had it on? It's already taken much of your life essence."

Claudine
Charge? Charges were usually children...she didn't feed from children so that couldn't be it. Claudine stared at the wall past other white-haired woman in thought as she tried to remember any children she'd seen lately. Connected to a charge? How?

"You happen to have the soul of Hate around your neck."

Claudine blinked and looked up again. Around her neck? Looking down at the crystal she'd picked up before she made a move to take it off, stopping when she was warned against it. Wait a second...had she just said she was a...? "I'm a what?! A mother?" She put her hands on the table and just stared at the angel lady with wide eyes. "I know you probably don't know this but I am not mother material! Why didn't this thing have a...a warning lable! If I'd known I woul--" Claudine paused in her ranting when her life essence was mentioned. She began to chuckle at that. It was a dark chuckle but still held the humor that'd just been suggested.

"About a week...but there must be some sort of mistake. I can't possibly have a life essence: I'm already dead."

The Medium
"Oh. But you do have a life essence. Dead or alive, you must be imbued with something to live. Your life essence may come from others to sustain you, but it's yours once it enters you."

The Iridae cracked a small smile, "Have you needed to feed more often? Hmm? Felt hunger more than usual?"

Claudine would do well to remember she was talking to Death.

Claudine
Claudine's eyebrow twitched at first, then her fingers clenched into fists when her desire to feed had come up once again. It was true, tonight she'd had so much and yet she was still starving. She sat down and glared at the angel lady through narrowed eyes, of course she'd understand since she'd called herself 'Death.'

"Perhaps..." She looked down at the necklace. It was nice to have an explanation. Did this amuse this woman, however? To hear that she was having hunger attacks like when she had been younger and new? "How long do I have to wear this? I'd like my normal feeding patterns back." A mother, eh? This would be so complicated; she'd only be able to see the child at night. "So what is going to happen now..?"

The Medium
"The usual amount of time varies. Once it has enough life, it'll crack and it's essence will appear. That lasts three days before it creates a body. The child will be tied to you. If it dies, you lose a part of yourself. If you die, it dies. You kill it, I'll personally ressurect you and make you wish for a final death."

Her voice never lost it's calm and her face remained serious.

"Until it cracks, you're going to need to feed more often."

Claudine
The vampire frowned a little. So there was no telling how long it'd take...but perhaps if she fed more often than she needed she could get this over and done with quickly. With a sigh Claudine waved her hand when Death threatened her with ressurection and torture if she killed the child. "I'm sure it'll all be things I've been forced through before. I wouldn't kill it anyway, it hasn't done me any harm."

Claudine was silent for a moment. "Any idea what gender this...Iridae, was it? Any idea what gender it will be? I'll have you know I refuse to care for any man."

The Medium
"Hate is a female," she answered, looking into the crystal, "Strange woman, she was...Oh, I had no doubt she'd be cast down soon." a creepy smile touched her lips before she turned and looked at the vampire once more.

"And I never said you'd kill her. I said if she died."

Claudine
"That's a relief." She rose a brow. "Strange woman? ...Cast down as in a fallen angel, correct?" If she was right then...what did she do? If you were a guardian of hate couldn't you just get away with pretty much all hateful things and claim you were doing your job? "What did she do?"

Claudine frowned. "I'll warn my maids then, they're quite greedy at times and love to try on my jewelry." After she said that she immediately looked around for a clock. What time was it? She'd forgotten how long she'd been here!

The Medium
"You can't take the necklace off so it shouldn't be a problem. And I don't know what they did, just that they were cast down. They won't remember until they get older, give them the chance to remain innocent."

Medium shook her head. She hadn't gotten that chance and she'd be damned if the other Iridae had to live with what they did. At least until they were ready to be returned to the heavens...

Eight
Claudine actually smiled. "How can a guardian of Hate possibly be innocent?" She joked with a chuckle, shaking her head. The woman stood and smoothed out her dress again, looking down at Death.

"Is that all I need to know at this point? Any strange powers I should look out for? I have a very limited time to get home unless you don't mind giving up your claim on your bed."

Claudine
Claudine shook her head and turned, walking out of the house. It was nice to get out of such a freaky place with a strange woman living in it. Lucky for her it was still dark out...but she still couldn't take any chances. At least she'd worn boots instead of heels.

She broke into a run as soon as she closed the door, heading straight back to Durem.

The Spirit Keeper

Name: Lady Claudine Voisin II
Font Color: Some strange gray~
Age: Can't even remember anymore.
Birthday: April 11, year unknown.
Race: Vampire
Eye Color: Dark blue
Hair: Black ringlet curls (I have a specific reference)
Skin Tone: Very pale
Jewelry: This necklace always found around her neck, this poison ring (Whether it has poison in it or not is the question), this necklace worn on a shorter chain than the rose necklace.

Personality: Living with her master did drive her over the edge of insanity, she just keeps it under control. She's rather unpredictable unless you're around her enough to know how she'll react...then she'll just do something unexpected to throw you off.

Just because she's crazy doesn't mean she can't be elegant and diplomatic. She still has an air of aristocracy in everything she does, she'll never let it be forgotten that she was once addressed only as Lady Claudine Voisin II.

Towards men she's very cold and distant. They're lucky if she speaks directly to them or gives them a second glance without tearing them apart. Women however are something she'll always flirt and get along with.

History: When Claudine was a living human she was the daughter of a local lord in a Medieval era in a town called Tiracona. She was in love with a man then, and was secretly engaged to him, when one night a group of vampires suddenly attacked the entire village and killed everyone...well almost everyone. Lord Voisin and Claudine escaped to another town. There were dozens of rumors about her, like how the love of her life had been turned into one of those vampires attacking the area.

It was true, yet he and Claudine were still very much in love. She snuck him into her room every night for a week before that town was also attacked...only this time Claudine was turned and her father was killed, her lover was nowhere to be seen. For three-hundred years she lived with her sire and was forced to follow his teachings, and after a time she was permitted to leave to survive on her own.

She took this chance to search for her old lover...and she found him after another sixty years of searching. When she found him he was sleeping with another woman, and Claudine discovered that he never even attempted to search for her. Naturally she wasn't pleased, and ended up decapitating both him and the other woman.

So now she lives on her own, or rather in a mansion with human servants and now her own charge. This should be interesting.

Likes: Women, night time, blood, bats, cats, dresses...
Dislikes: Men, daylight, birds, death, overly happy people...

Weight: Not tellin'!
Eye Color: Green
Hair Color: Blonde
Skin Tone: Caucasian
Occupation: One of Claudine's maids/Inaya's babysitter during the day

Personality: TBA

History: Not much to tell. She was born in Claudine's home, her mother is another one of the vampire's maids. She's never met her father. Her mother tells her he was a man she met one day while running an errand.
