I have a few questions about incense for ya.

What do you use it for mainly?

Are there any special incense flavours for certain spells?

What's ya fav?
I mainly use mine for just freshening up the room, I admit. I use salt for cleansing, instead of incense.. My fav. would probably have to be..

I have no idea. Possibly the fruity scents: with incense it comes out fruity *and* musky, making it quuiite niice.

I mostly use it to represent air when casting a circle...
I like Dragon's blood, night queen and simple ones like vanilla.
Some spell resources DO recommend a certain type of incense for certain spells, usually very very specific...
You can make your own incense by crushing charcoal, adding whatever you want it to smell like (e.g. lavender) and mixing them well. Then add only just enough honey to it to make it all stick together. After that you can mould it into a cone or wrap it around a stick and let it set.

Yeh mine is now too - I got away with it once or twice though...
My mum is asking ALOT of questions now x_x.
She's asking about my abilities and she's obviously done alot of research on it.... AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!

I've only gotten away with burning a candle once and that was because I used it when my parents weren't home.
I'm glad my mom hasn't been asking me questions. The first (and last) time she brought the subject up (which I've already told you guys about) was really awkward.

My advice is that you find somewhere else you can go - Jess and I use the bush near-ish her house, and theres a very unused section of reserve near mine (I'd prefer the bush, but blegh, not much I can do about that... Unless I can move in? (Jess' house not the bush)lol).
I wouldn't bother going down to the reserve by myself though... Its to much effort, I'd just yous stones and things to represent elements.

That was the big one, but I'm not gonna put in all the other ones, as it would force me to go down to the back of the garden and eat worms. sweatdrop
Well: instead of candles, why don'tcha try tealights? They're basically a tiiiny candle with very secure holders.

Ouch...
Well, why don'tcha try talking to her about it? Communication is quite a good weapon.
Try setting up like a demo 'contract' type thing, to proove to her you are responsible. Or maybe if you do some odd jobs around the house, show you're willing to help and still the same person: then as a reward you could burn a candle.
Does that make sense?

Incense represents the element air, for the most part, but it can be used for many other spell specific purposes.

Yes. Usually the spell will specify, if it's a must, but you can enhance your spells by using incenses with properties similar to that of what you're trying to achieve.

Yeh... But the cones are FULL of charcoal... They smell reasonable at the time but after, your room smells like burning and smoke for ages, so it's outdoors only... I HATE that... I thought I finally found a place... But nooooooo. x_x

Luckily I only have to live here for one more year, so then I can do whatever I want and I'm going to get lots and lots of candles and incense and make my new house/apartment thingy smell pretty!
