ok, so I got roadrunner (cable internet service, uber good)
and I pluged it into my xbox...(not 360, I dont have any games for that yet)
and when I tried to connect.
it said it didnt have any DNS / pppoe settings or some s**t.
and im like.. all confused cause I dont know what the hell
any of this is..
HELP ME PLEASE! crying crying

You should be fine just don't host any games.

1:why not?
2:it says on the xbox wetsite that
verizon is good for playing xbox live on
( http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/connecttolive/xbox360/isps/verizon.htm )linked
but they dont say the speeds.. so I guess it just depends if its DSL or not.
hopefully it is.

Well i don't know exactly how it will work out but playing should be fine can try hosting and see for yourself on that part.

isnt there like a certain speed your dsl connection has to be in order to put and take info fast enough for XBL?

Yes but i don't know them exactly myself i'll go check it out really quick.
Edit: Ok apparently you need atleast 1100 MTU's to run xblox live if you know what that means.

I don't know what that means either. I believe you should be fine on Live though.

becasue with the slower speed If you host your games will be extremely laggy

well i gots good news.
1: im gettin roadrunner!
(thats a cable conection, like comcast.. except this is called roadrunner,
I'm getting a 5-6mbps conection for $35 a month)
2:that means I get xbox live razz
free silver membership, here I come.lol.
oh
and free 30day gold membership here I come too.
bad news its..
its not for another 3 days :
friday cant come fast enough cry
