Dark paws moved lightly through the grass, cautious steps that drew a young lion over the borders of a new land. The grass was not unfamiluar, but it was forgotten, his paws having grown accustomed to the rougher terrain of the lands to the east. The adolescent had done a lot of thinking over the past few days, trying to find the answers to his own questions. After many sleepless nights and debates with himself, he had decided that he had not found his place, that there was somewhere else he was meant to be, that there was more for him to do. So he had left a short note for his friends, and set out on his own journey. He would return some day, but he did not know when, he only knew he must move on for now. He now stood just past the border of the ela lands and the pridelands, blue eyes gazing around at this new land, his nose taking in the scent of the grass and the plentiful prey. His eyes taking in all he could see, his paws set forward again, perhaps he would find what he was searching for here.

~Hmmmm.... who is that out there on the border? Doesn't look like anyone I know. Maybe a new pride member, or someone I haven't met?~
Mosi leapt down from her perch on the rock, stalking into the grasses as discreetly as she could. This stranger might not be friendly, but she didn't care. Mosi was a little reckless at times, she was convinced she could handle herself if he turned out to be hostile.
The sea of grasses was slow to part, but did none the less. It was obvious that she still needed a little more practice at sneaking but she wasn't too bad either. She'd just have a LOOK at this stranger and see who dared tresspass on Pridelander turf. >D

Juhudi moved at an easy pace, tail flicking lazily behind him. He wasn't really looking for anyone or anything in particular, nor was he really headed in any specific direction, he was simply following the path his paws took him on, wherever they may lead. Probably not the best idea, or the smartest, but he didn't know any other way to go. He stopped in his tracks, ears flicking, his pale eyes scanning the grassland. He thought he'd heard something, the sound of pawsteps, the hint of a small dark shadow caught his eyes. Was he imagining things? His senses had never lied to him before. "Who's there?"

"My name's Mosi, but I should be asking you that question." Came the amused reply.
Then suddenly there she was, drawing in closer towards the male from his left side. She didn't manage to sneak up on him-- or rather, didn't bother trying anymore. He'd see the grass parting noticeably now as a young cub emerged, grinning up at him in a friendly manner.
"So, who are you?"

The adolescent blinked, red tail flicking behind him. A cub? It seemed kinda odd for a cub to be out alone, but then he remembered he had been alone at that age. She seemed so small, or maybe he was just big, he hadn't really noticed just how much he had grown. "My name is Juhudi." Juhudi was kindhearted, if a bit clueless. He was not unfriendly, he was just a bit caught off guard. He had never run into any other lions in the entire time he'd spent in the ela lands, yet he had just barely stepped into this land before he'd run into a cub. Was there a pride here?

Nearly as though she'd read his mind (which she had not.) Mosi nodded and replied. "Well, welcome to the Pridelands." She smiled. "Are you looking for a home, or just passin' through?"

"I--well..." He had not been prepared to answer that question, he wasn't even sure he could answer it for himself. Was he looking for a new home? He had thought he'd found his home before, but he had been wrong. Maybe he just wanted to travel again, no, that couldn't be it. "I guess I'm looking for home."

"Well, either you are, or you aren't, right?" She blinked, tilting her head and frowning a little bit. If she was being rude (which she undoubtably was) she wasn't aware of it. She was brought up this way, her parents certainly didn't care how they spoke to strangers, Jini was the only one with a good amount of sense and inbred manners among them! Nukta in second, Mosi and Adanna tied for third.
Boy, was this guy indecisive about anything else?

Juhudi's tail flicked a bit, one brow raised at the cub. She seemed rather...audacious, despite the fact that he was much larger than her. Most cubs, including himself, would have been very wary of a larger predator, they could be eaten afterall. Not that Juhudi would ever do such a thing, but there were lions that would. "Kinda pushy aren't you? Well then...I guess I am, but I haven't decided if it's here yet."

Mosi settled herself onto her haunches and watched the male that towered over her, amused it seemed.
"I get that a lot, and that makes sense, least I think it does. Mom and dad said they wandered around a lot before they came here too. Your mane looks kinda like dad's did when I was little."
When she was little? She still WAS little! She didn't seem to think she was as small as before, and truthfully she wasn't.
"I hope you find it soon. How long have you been traveling?"

His tail paused in it's flicking, icey eyes focused on the small cub. She sure asked a lot of questions, questions he wasn't used to answering, that he hadn't even thought about himself. Were all cubs this nosey? He thought of saying he had started his journey that morning, but he closed his maw before the words were out, thinking better of it. That wasn't true was it, truth was he had never really stopped traveling, he had meerely paused taking refuge in another land for a time. Now that he thought of it, maybe the ela lands had been simply a stop on his journey, a place to rest until he was old enough to find his real place. After all he had been a cub back then, easy pickings for a predator, now he was much bigger, much stronger, no longer vulnerable to the predators that stalked the plains. "A long time."

"Really?" She asked, seeming... impressed, and curious. She bit her lower lip, wanting to ask what it was like, but for some reason feeling hesitant to. His answers were coming short, did that mean he was in a hurry? "Well, if you want,"
Oh, yeah, there was her confidence again. Temporarily misplaced at best.
"I can show you around." She smirked, one brow lowering with the expression to give it a crooked and mischevious apperance. "I know this place almost inch by inch. I've seen EVERY thing, except for that big hole in the ground over that way, and besides: If you're thinkin' about passing through here or staying you'd probably wanna meet Ezzy's grandparents anyway. Dad said that those are the rules cause it's rude to just go traipsin' through people's home without askin' first. I could take you right TO em'."
She gave a firm nod, looking proud, but impish at the same time, an odd mix. She had secretly taken a liking to this male, he wasn't pushy and bossy like her father, and he hadn't said anything WEIRD to her yet, like Ezeoha did almost constantly. He was actually a lot like Shomo, a lioness she'd met on one of her little unchaperoned outings. She liked Shomo for the fact that the yellow and black female was composed and polite. She treated Mosi like an equal, and didn't make diminutive remarks about her age or size, unlike some adults and snotty teenagers.
So it was that Juhudi would find his new tag along gazing up at him with hopeful sun-baked eyes, looking for a chance to impress yet another adult and make a new friend. She really didn't have many of them.
"What do you say, Juhudi?"

The adolescent blinked, not quite sure what to make of the black cub or her boldness. But his expression changed, tail flicking, so there was a pride here? It would be a nice change to meet some other lions, maybe they could help him find what he was looking for. "Grandparents? Are they the leaders of a pride here?" He tilted his head curiously, not quite certain what she meant. But after a few moments he finally nodded. "Alright."

"You got it." She grinned, turning her attention towards the pointed rock. "King Mufasa and Queen Sarabi. I haven't met them yet, but Ezzy is the one that helped my parents get into the pridelands. That's why we were born here."

The adolecent's tail flicked, his pale eyes for the first time settling on the large rock structure in the distance, the structure which he did not yet know was known as pride rock. From here, the rock face seemed massive dominating the horizon like a great plateu. It seemed the black cub ad indicated that direction, was that where the pride lived? It might have seemed foolish to follow a young cub he had barely just met into an unfamiluar land and an unknown pride. But Juhudi yearned to find answers, to find where he belonged. If there was even the slightest chance he could find that here, he had to try. What did he have to lose? He took a few steps toward the rock in the distance, following the small cub's lead. "If you haven't met them, how do you know what they're like?"
