i posted this on the doa, but i think it'll be of use here too ^^
sweatdrop sorry if someone has already posted one of these.

i've heard a lot of people are having problems figuring out the eyebrows for their doll's faceup. i made a simple eyebrow alignment guide that's based on human eyebrow shaping, which should also work on dolls reletivly well.
hopefully this can help a few people figure out what they want to do, and stay away from the "i don't know what's wrong with the eyebrows but they just don't look right."-phrase. i'm not saying this is the 'set' way to do eyebrows, since there are many different types.
for the example, i used a doll from the luts site with eyebrows uncovered by a wig ^^

~the red line shows that the eyebrow should usually stop in line with the outer part of the nose or sometimes the inner part of the eye, depending on the doll. i'd suggest putting a small line, dot, or mark here.

~the blue line shows that the arch of the eyebrow (if any) should be lined up with the pupil and the outer part of the nose. (this of course, only works if the doll is looking straight forward) the arch can be as big or as small as you like it, and some eyebrows have no arch at all. again, i'd suggest putting a small line, dot, or mark here.

EDIT: here's another eyebrow shaping tip to consider: (sorry i forgot the first time ^^') for this one, i got another example off the luts site because the first one is the wrong angle for the last point. this eyebrow has basically no arch, so we can forget that step.
again, the red line represents where the eyebrow should begin by the nose.
now for the new stuff, the green line represents how far the eyebrow should go back near the temple. the line extends from the nose to the outer corner of the eye and beyond for the end of the eyebrow.
