~~~~~~~~~~ Deus Ex Machina ~~~~~~~~~~
"Faith is a sounder guide than reason. Reason can only go so far, but faith has no limits." - Blaise Pascal
"Faith is the daring of the soul to go farther than it can see." - William Newton Clark
"It is by believing in roses that one brings them to bloom." - French saying
The Tocasian Empire stood at the pinnacle of society for countless centuries, enduring countless more hardships and trials only to emerge at a greater power. Through both war and diplomacy, many regions and cultures assimilated under the Tocasian banner till it was the only kingdom of sway. This lead to the gold age as learning, the arts and quality of life flourished under the empire's governance. But above all else, Tocasia offered religion. For the first time in history, the mass populace was introduced to salvation in an honest and non-manipulative context. Religion was not used to control the people but used by the people, for the people.
At this time, something spectacular happened. Rumors of unexplainable miracles of healings and protection traveled across the empire. Faith was no longer illogical wishing but an actuality. In effect, Gods were no longer an invisible force which was credited for all good, but now an active part of life. Sadly, the empire was not prepared for such power and dissension and rebellion broke out across the lands. Although in the end Tocasia survived, the wounds of conflicting beliefs remained and began to fester.
At this time, religion grew a darker face. The insurrections had made people question their beliefs and branch out into sects and then into new beliefs entirely. The thing that held the empire together was the lack of faith following the wars. People began question the institutions of religion as a whole since faith was what had created the turmoil to begin with. From that time forward, Tocasia slowly began to die. With this lack of belief and failing of society, scholars looked for something solid, finite and certain.
Over the course of the next two centuries, new wave of learning swept across the lands. Scientific thought brought about numerous improvements in the form of technology. Soon the empire forgot religion and faith and demanded something better. Time passed and the gods of old were left behind.
This technological revolution lead to what no one expected, but everyone should have seen coming. Faith derived from science. Following in the footsteps of what Tocasia had tried desperately to fight, Technophilism developed into a religion and then into a power. The ruling priests of Technophilism were warped by the power and longed for more. For this, they demanded fanaticism from the believers and thus the religion was corrupted from an honest belief in the ability of technology to improve humanity into a violent consumptive obsession.
Although the empire is threatened to the brink of annihilation, the ruling factions are unable to agree on a single solution to the problem and end up stopping any form of response. This leaves the land of Tocasia in turmoil of only which the bravest and most vigilant heroes could right. Of the few to act, who will aid Tocasia and be true to their faith and who will fall to the persuasions of Technophilism and join the march of war? Only time will tell...
~~~~~~~~~~Character Profiles~~~~~~~~~~

Player:
Name:
Age:
Sex:
Alignment*:
Powers**:
Unique Features/Skills:
Appearance:
Biography:

* - Pick one from below or PM me about your own
** - As one of the faithful, you can readily do one or more extraordinary things. These should be rather specific.

Powers are what your character can do through belief, the things they do on a regular basis or can do on the fly. It has to relate directly to their beliefs and how the power is used in context to the situation. For the most part they should just be improbabilities to almost impossible occurrences. i.e. a wall of stone bursts up to protect a Gaian Earth believer who is in imminent danger
They abilities are blatantly supernatural and MUST be derived from the faith of the character, particularly in the circumstance. There MUST be a reason to believe so strongly that a miracle happens.

The unique features and skills are just something that is there to add a little life to your character. What in particular people recognize about them, what they are known for or what someone might notice about them whilst they do something.

Profiles:

1.
Player: SovietSnowball
Name: Justin Pontius
Age: 28
Sex: Male
Alignment: Humanism
Powers:
1. When believing that he should not be harmed, or has some other reason to believe in himself, another or the inability to hurt either from an antagonist, arrows will miss and swords will not cut. When the building comes falling down, he would happen to stand directly under the convenient window or other wise be freed from harm. In many cases this is seen as uncanny luck but in extreme cases it is undoubtedly a miracle of faith.
2. When believing in the abilities of others or his own, they more likely than not succeed. If he were to put his faith in some one to hold a rope as he hung above a bottomless pit, they would be almost unable to let him fall.
Unique Features/Skills: Justin is especially empathic and persuasive. His belief in humanity has given him keen insights on humans and their motives.
Appearance: (TO BE POSTED SOON)
Biography: Justin Pontius was the son of the Arch Priest of Humanism and has been devoted almost since birth. Since first introduced to Technophilism, Justin has seen the beauty in and greatness of Technology as one of humanities greatest achievements and attributes side by die with society and faith. His views put his father in a particularly difficult political spot so Justin willingly exiled himself to stop from endangering his family. He returned to Tescosia just to see the emblem of the empire cowardly assassinated by a follower of the very religion he had admired and respected. This has put him into an even trickier situation as the empire's views on Technophilism have drastically shifted and his own father fears what might have happened to him during his time away from the heart of the empire.

2.
Player: Xtinur

Name: Zee(ra) Herestia

Age: 25

Sex: Female

Alignment*: Necroauxism

Powers**:
1) When very very very angry and during a battle, Zeera's powers kick in and miraculously and suspisciously, the weaponry (excluding hand-to-hand combat-) immediately falls apart or decays. Explosives stop working and those nearest to her mysteriously feel parts of their mind eroding. This is her strongest feature.
2) If she sees something she despises or thinks it destroys the beliefs of Necroauxists, it miraculously falls apart or is destroyed.
3) She has the uncanny ability to sense someone's fear. And she uses it against them. She can only ever sense fear. Thank the lords for that.

Unique Features/Skills: Zee has distinct power that comes with her Necroauxist Beliefs. One of her most distinct and famed features is that if she happens to stay in a place for a long amount of time, a small area of decay spreads out aroud her. Like if she leant against a tree for an hour or so the tree's leaves would slowly start to change colour and several bunches of leaves would simply drop off. And as she left the tree, a decayed mark fitting her back perfectly would be left in the tree for quite some time until the tree's natural healing powers healed it from the desecration. Occasionally, if she is at the height of her power, a trail of decay will follow her and disappear within minutes.
Her second most distinct feature is that when using her powers or when meditating or channeling her beliefs into an arguement or something, or whenever passionate about something, her eyes turn a glassy black colour. This sign gives her the most trouble as it is most easily recognised.
She is also a very ruthless character who seemingly has no sympathy. And after using her powers there is a massive backlash to herself. She calls it Post-Necroauxist Mania. Basically, she is hit with either a wall of fury -a strong desire for destruction/decay- or sorrow - a desire to help and be sweet and kind and everything she is not-.

Appearance: Zeera is a dark creature with clammy, pale skin of almost deathly white. Her figure is weak and muscleless, and she has been referred to as a 'Stick' at times. This is because she is scarily tall and borderline annorexic.
Despite this, she still has her eerie aura about her. She has deep violet eyes with twin dark, dusty green crescents splayed across both of her eyes, the top of them reaching above her eyebrows and the bottoms down her cheek. Despite the green slash-crescents, Zee constantly wears a disgusting ammount of eyeliner and not enough lip-paint.
Her hair is thick, and black of the deepest shade. It is usually tied back in twin ponytails, low-tied and very long. The top of them is curled into buns with the ponytails trailing down to her waist.
However, she has a pair of annoying bangs on the side of her face which are consistantly in her eyes.
She usually wears a strapless dress that is tight up the top but as it hits her waist it flares out into a large, pretty, splayed out skirt that ends just under her knees. The dress is black with white polkadots spread over it.
A pair of silver flats cover her feet as shoes and she usually has a black ribbon tied around her left arm and another on her right wrist.

Biography: Zeera's parents where also Necroauxism, but of a different kind. They devoted their lives to healing others, devoting their time and powers and their lives to others. And in doing so, Zeera was neglected as a child.
Most of the time, she was left in their hut, by herself. Even when she was an infant. Sometimes when her parents came back from their healing she woudl get scolded for not doing something... something they never even told her to do.
All her life she was neglected, no friends, no company, just herself alone in idleness in her hut. With occasional glimpses of her parents.
Yes, her parents were of the life and healing kind of Necroauxism.
And this infuriated her.
After several incidents of annoyance at her parents and literally getting forced to learn healing magic, Zeera made up her mind.
She did believe in Necroauxism. But hers was of a different kind. A kind of N4ecroauxism that was everything her parent's kind of Necroauxism wasnt.
She would devote her life to Death and Decay. And she did. She devoted herself in the studies of Death and Decay, tutored by the finest masters of Death and Decay in Klip-Moore, eventually becoming one of the most powerful Necroauxists there were in the marsh.
And unlike other Necroauxists of the dark kind, she never let her powers consume her.
Her brightest moment... was when she used her powers to hurt those who had hurt her most. Her parents.
It killed them to know their daughter had turned into something all their belief's despised.
And it killed them... literally.
And so, Zeera was a Death and Decay Necroauxist. And so she would be forever.

3.
Player: Marksman in the chaos
Name: Mackenzie Van Gent
Age: 21
Sex: male
Alignment: neutral
Powers: When in mortal danger, he can summan a wall of bones. It is formed of interconnected bones, lacing together intricately. The bones are connected with the soil, or material it is summoned up from. It is thin, but amazingly sturdy. It has a weak point, that is also it's strongest point. A large skull, as if it were a mammoth's, is in the exact center of the wall. It has glowing red eyes, and it's own sentient nation. It moves the wall at will, and is extremely vulnerable, if caught in a conversation. The wall is moveable, but is limited to about a square hundred feet.
When he attacks others, his rapier is wrapped with red flesh, and a pair of sharp bones that extend it's reach, and make it alot scarier. The bones are black, and are linked by a gold bangle, that is also used for the gaurd of the sword.
Unique Features/Skills: His sword ability is what he is known for. Few ever live after seeing his defensive maneuver, so it is rare to hear of this demonic edifice. He is also noted for having white hair and eyes, though being a necroauxist.
Appearance: About 5'5", with white hair, yellow catlike eyes, and pale skin, he is a remarkably noticeable person. He wears black armor, light, but made of a steel-alloy, so sturdy. It is pieced together by black leather. He has a large breastpiece, and shoulder pads, perfectly fit black gauntlets, and black boots. His breastpiece has a large eye in the middle, but is purely decorative. His slacks, made of dragon hide, are enchanted, and are flame-proof, cool(temperature-wise), and stylish. He has pointed ears, a genetic abnormality of his family.
Biography: He was born and raised in the marshes. He was pampered and spoiled, but not to a fault. He has recently fallebn into hard times, as his parents were murdered, but has begun to make a name for himself in his home marshes. He does not seek the attention, he only wishes to live in peace within his homeland, and maintain the balance someday. He had a twin sister who was kidnapped when he was only a year old, and sometimes wishes to quest after her. She is rumored to be under the care of a master swordsman in the capitol city.

4.
Player: Bristi
Name: Alya Mosa
Age: 23
Sex: Female
Alignment*: Alya believes in a higher power, one that created the universe through the five elements; Earth, Fire Water, Wind and Metal. Because her belief is neither centered on the earth itself, or anything on this earth, but in something greater, she is not Gaian..which would be the closest religion to what she believes.
Powers**: Alya's belief grants her power over the elements within the realm of possibilities. For instance, if she were holding a bar of metal, she could ask that it change into a metal weapon. But she cannot ask a stick to become a metal sword. A spear, yes.
The combined use of all five elements together is Healing, but it cannot be used to the extent of bringing back someone from the dead. Or rather, it could, but not by Alya. If it does occur, serious crippling or even death to the user is the penalty. The dead are meant to stay dead.
It can however, be used to bring a person back from the brink of death.
Alya cannot individually create any element, she has to begin with it already in existence.
Alya cannot use her power to change anything in a living entity, besides healing.
Alya is not harmed by fire when she is using it, however, when she is centering on water, she can be extremely damaged by water.
Unique Features/Skills: While Alya cannot control more than one element at a time, when she does control them, they become tangible. She can hold fire, water, or air as though it were a ball.
When she controls air, it tends to change to a shadow color.
Appearance: Slender and fragile looking, aproximately 5'8" and about 127 pounds. Her skin is light bronze, and her hair is light brown. Nearly blonde and sun-streaked. Alya's eyes are golden brown with a dark blue-ish center, the center color amplified when Alya wears blue colors.
Her clothes are simple, often ccolored with natural tones, and very comfortable. She has them tailored especially to her liking.
Her height is mostly in her legs, so she wears a more low-rise sort of pants that don't dig into her ribs. Her shirts are always long enough to be tucked into her pants, and are fitted to her body. Alya usually also wears a long vest that extends to mid thigh.
She is never seen without a chain of silver wrapped loosely around her neck, nor without wooden bangles and earrings.
Biography: Alya's religion is one that has been passed from family to family for generations. It is an ancient belief, one yhat has survived, even if just barely. Her power is based on the providence of her creator, the higher power she has been taught to love since birth. Her parents were both died in an unfortunate "accident" about eight years ago, but it was while Alya was away studying. She doesn't believe that it was an accident, and while she has no proof, the result has been her mistrust of all other people. She isn't exactly rude...she just avoids talking to people when it isn't necessary.
She knows that her powers grow as her faith does, mostly because she experienced a tremendous setback when her parents died.
It has taken till the present time to regain all of what she lost at fifteen, but she isn't going to lose it again either.

These are the major religions of the Tocasian Empire.

~~~~~Ultraverism~~~~~
Ultraverists or Truth Tellers believe strongly in a universal morality. To them, good and evil is real and can be clearly distinguished. They believe that morality is inherent to everything and that the road to heaven is following closely to morality of the universe.
The more passionate Ultraverists typically become the Judicators of Tocasia, although some have become prominent diplomats and generals to fight for their upholding of what is moral.
Ultraverists are known for healing and protection while others have become the hand of justice and are able to channel the powers of the sun.
~~~~~Gaianism~~~~~

Those who believe in the powers of nature, particularly in a certain forces, are Gaians. Although they respect and understand that each element is vital to the balance of nature and humanity, they align themselves with one of the four elements in particular to help preserve that element's balance in relation to the rest. They typically take on the characteristics associated with the element and are able to control and work in things related to that element.
Passionate Gaians either teach their ways to others or take some kind of position where they could better maintain a balance.

~~~~~Necroauxism~~~~~
Similar to Gaianism, Necroauxism focuses on the roles of life and death and the cylce between them. The believe strongly in the virtue of continuing the cycle and generally work to proliferate this cycle. Necroauxists take up focusing on either growth and life or death and decay. Necroauxists are usually farmers, healers or warriors and work in miracles regarding life or death, such as healing, protection, growing or shadows and decay.
~~~~~Humanism~~~~~

Humanists believe is the power of thought, intelligence and other distinctly human characteristics. Humanism has grown from what once was Tocasian's original religious ideals and once more encompasses a majority of the populace, although most are not devout enough to be considered a Humanist.
Most miracles Humanists perform are related to humanity and typically show themselves as either forms of great willpower or exceptional skill. Humanism is the most broad religion of Tocasia as it has a number of sects focusing on different aspects of the individual, both physically and mentally, while others believe in humanities' greatest achievement- Society.

~~~~~Technophilism~~~~~
Technophiles have taken their love of machination to a truly horrific level. They have relied on and trusted their creations to the point where it does not actually matter what or how the creation was made. As long as they believe that the creation should fulfill its purpose because of what it is, it will.
The Technophile religion is not specific on much beyond machination. Teachings verge on brain washing and the value of life is low. Technology is supreme. The result is a horde of suicidal fanatics believing that their flesh is a weakness and more than willing to rid themselves of it when they can.
Technophiles find it extremely hard to deal with any other religion and most other societies. The only real means of expanding the faith is through high birth rates and conquest.
~~~~~~~~~~The World~~~~~~~~~~

User Image

Everything up to the Pharian Desert is in Tocasian domain. Across the Sea of Lothige are several other settlements and areas under control and also to the south, but the focus is on the central piece of the empire.

Klip-Moore is a marsh around the river and sea but clay and foot hills around the main piece of the region. The people of the region speak Koorte and are typically followers of Necroauxism and Gaianism.

The Verdosian Plains are the origins of the Tocasian Empire. The area is covered with rolling hills and long flats in the center. The people of the region speak Tescas and typically believe in Ultraverism and Humanism.

Carpadian Mountains and Junoc Tor are inhabited by the Carpid peoples. The area is very rough and rugged terrain and scattered with an array of mountains. The Carpadians speak Carpid and typically worship Gaianism. Some follow Necroauxism and even fewer have devoted themselves to Technophilism.

The Xanlyn Forest is one of the more secluded areas of the empire, despite being so close to the heart. The two great rivers flowing through the region provide a nature boundary and limit contact from outside the forest. The Xanlyn speak Xanlyn and almost exclusively worship Gaianism.

The Bommup enclave is considered one of the more backwater places of the heart land. It is a forested hilly region naturally guarded by two rivers and the forest. The people of Bommup speak Tescas and follow Humanism.

The Pharian Desert and Plains are the home of Technophilism. The Pharian plains are an arid flat of land and home to many nomads. Originating from necessity of the harsh life in the desert, the Pharins developed a wide array of machinery to aid in farming, hunting and general life. The Pharin people speak Pharian and worship Technophilism, although some of the peoples of the southern plains worship Humanitism as well.

~~~Prelude~~~
A Grand Judicator of Tocasia and the Ultraverister of the region, Kurcius Verda was an indispensable figure head of the people, even from those of other faiths. His very presence struck awe into even the most cynical and his works were doubtless miracles. Some temples of Ultraverism even proclaimed him as the incarnation of their faith. To those believers, he was the closest thing to a God the religion had.
And he was the first to recognize Technophilism for what it truly was.
The embodiment of everything horrible and evil of humanity was and was capable of. They had no respect for even the most basic of morals, they imprisoned themselves in delusions so grand that only death would free them.
They were so arrogant as to claim their own creations as divine.
As a Judicator, protector and figure head of his religion and empire, he was morally bound to do anything in his power to wipe them from existence.
Kurcius stood in the center of an amphitheater, surrounded by seats stretching the base of the giant meeting area. In each seat sat a prominent member of the empire spanning from the far off shores of Kurt Vin Dale to the peaks of the Carpadian Mountain range. Even several representatives from the heart wood of the Xanlyn Forest had joined them. Above those seats were a hundred rows of pews of stadium seating towards the heavens. They were packed to the brim with every imaginable member of society. Urchins sat next to Guardsmen, Masons to Librarians, and Undertakers to Merchants.
Behind Kurcius sat the Judicators of the Tocasian Empire. Two hundred theologically, royally and citizen appointed ruling members of the Tocasian Empire. Each held a life long position and was replaced within months of their death. They were the icon of what Tocasia had established, and at the head of them stood Kurcius Verda.
He was by all points of view, an arch angel. He stood towering above any man and held an aura that commanded respect from those who owed it to him. His accomplishments for the good of the people of and the empire as a whole were only matched by the great rulers of old, dead centuries ago but living in the wondrous nation they had built. He himself had quelled the Dissension wars without drawing a single drop of blood. He had reformed the Church of Ultraverism and led the empire to peacefully assimilate more than half of the regions held by the empire over the seas. Despite his numerous advances of the people, despite his standing as the youngest and one of the greatest Grand Judicators of the empire and Ultraverister, despite his strength, vigor and determination, Kurcius Verda took not a single credit for it.
"I do not deserve praise for what I have done through proxy." He was famed for saying, "The irrefutable truth of all is what guides me and gives me strength. I am but a tool to do what should be done, and I have been blessed with the faith to follow through with it."
Dressed in the plainest grey clothes and shaven of hair, Kurcius brought awe through humility he could not even have intended.
Within moments of him taking the podium, the masses were silent.
He paused, gazing out over the crowds and seeing through each individual the empire that they both represented and were protected by.
"Fellow Tocasians, citizens of and makers of the finest empire history has ever known, your fore fathers bought you the freedoms and comforts we all now enjoy with their blood, their sweat, their tears and their very lives. They fought wars to protect a growing ideal and keep it safe. They fought and died so that we could be here today in the way we are. They believed in the empire, and with the faith that they would not die in vain bore us this magnificent testament to humanity, morality and society. It is time that we repay their sacrifices not for them, but for our later generations."
Kurcius held for a moment, scanning over the crowds once more before continuing in a less warm tone.
"In recent years, something terrible has happened. The society that we have made and the faith that has given us strength have turned against us. A radical movement among the Pharian Technophiles of Cyprin has become what our ancestors died to fight. Tyrants, fascists and fanatics. Worst of all, they have sinned not only against nature but against humanity itself. They believe that through Technology, they themselves can become Gods."
Once more, Kurcius paused, deathly serious.
"They are heretics of a level higher than blasphemy. They act against everything good and nature. They act against humanity!"
He shouted like thunder into the paralyzed masses. His words grew in fervor as he spoke.
"They care not for life of any kind and even desecrate their own dead. They create unnatural beasts- soul-less abominations. Machinations used for the soul purpose of death and terror. They believe unquestioningly that nature, life, humanity, balance- our very flesh! - They believe it all to be inferior and view it only with contempt! Their priests have gone as far as to sin against their own bodies; cutting off their own flesh and replacing it with cold, heartless metal and machination. They see themselves as superior with each desecration they commit. They see themselves and what the do, what they create as holy! They seek to become demons of their own creation!"
The crowd began into a furious roar, only over come by Kurcius' own words. The people of Tocasia believed in him and they believed what he said. They drew into his fervor and carried themselves beyond reason and into faith.
"These man-monsters actually wish to enslave you; make you their children and pets. Experiment and rid you of your own humanity. Our great beacon of hope for the world is being threatened not only by their beliefs but by their actions as well. As I speak, the Technophiles build their machines of war and prepare to break our faith. We will not let them!"
His statement was followed by another roar from the crowd.
"Not for our fathers, not for our selves or our families but for the truth that we shall not be toppled by injustice!"
As if to punctuate his statement, a rippling boom echoed through the amphitheater. Blood burst from Kurcius' chest and stained his pure, humble robes with his own crimson life fluid. For that moment, the crowd dropped silent, mouths gapping and eyes fixated on Kurcius, their idol and their empire, drop to the polished stone floor and bleed freely across the marble. As he fell, another thunder clap sounded and another hole exploded directly over Kurcius' heart.
The crowd, the Judicators, the very empire was dead silent with shock.
Okay, I guess I am really bad at phrasing...
Powers are what your character can do through belief, the things they do on a regular basis or can do on the fly. It has to relate directly to their beliefs and how the power is used in context to the situation. For the most part they should just be improbabilities to almost impossible occurrences. i.e. a wall of stone bursts up to protect a Gaian Earth believer who is in imminent danger.
The unique features and skills are just something that is there to add a little life to your character. What in particular people recognize about them, what they are known for or what someone might notice about them whilst they do something.
Marksman in the Chaos
((Wow, simply amazing Soviet, I love it))
Mackenzie had no business leaving his town that day. so he didn't. He did not care about this man that had been assassinated, and why should he? This man was part of the cycle, and surely his death must be too. Not to mention he was, to Mackenzie's small-town mind, an unreachably far distance away. He went through his day as usual, slower than normal, but nothing out of the ordinary happened. He was a priest for his town, in a sense, and today another had died. He gave a short sermon about the cycle, and the man's role in the great cycle. A few wept, but most understood the meaning of his death. And life went on. His cold glance happened to fall onto a picture in the man's house. It contained Mackenzie's whole family, together with the man, some twenty years ago. The man must have known my parents. He thought dully, as he examined it. He asked to keep it, and the widow did not deny him. He left early, as the afternoon heat was beginning to die down. The marsh gas gave him a dank, but comfortingly familiar smell. He wandered, eyeing the picture.
((Updated profile!))
Behind Justin sat a slim, tall elegant woman of a deathly pale appearance. Her eyes a glassy black as she shook from anger. Her pale, slender hands gripped tightly on the sides of her chair. She knew what would happen to the chair. The telltale sign that she was a Necroauxist. But she cared not.
Suddenly the chair she sat on gave way and crumpled into a heap of decayed wood and splinters. Quickly, Zeera Herestia muttered a curse and batted away the extended hand of help offered by the man beside her.
"I should stop doing things like this..." She muttered under her breath. She had recently arrived into ((Mind blank. Can't remember where they are ><)) and upon request of some Judicator of Necroauxism and what-not had immediately invited her to some speech of some importance by some apparantly important man. Not that she cared. But still, when she discovered that it was to discuss the matter of the Technophilism...
To her, Technophilism was a riddle. A riddle with no answer. And she was determined to find out why everytime she heard the words 'Technophilism' or 'Technophilists' or anything relating to the two matters she would feel a wave of horror. Or pain. Anger. Loathing.
"No!" She snapped at the insessant man who continued to ask her if she needed his assistance. She thought it would have been obvious that she did not need any help of a sort from him.
How could any religion power a man so much as to kill the head of the Empire? She thought angrily as she instead of sitting on the offered chair, stood. It's stupid!
"Are you by any chance Zeera Herestia?" The male then asked. His eyes blazing.
Zeera blinked. She was surprised. For once.
"What of it?" She snapped back. The actions of the Technophilist making her emotions sink into turmoil. Even as her eyes sunk back into their usual shade of a deep, knowing violet.
"Necrosuaxist?" He inquired. His voice was suddenly hopeful.
"Not the kind you're looking for." She merely answered. The hope in his voice telling her all she needed to hear. Like others, he had thought that the 'Powerful Necroauxist' Zeera Herestia was like most Necroauxists. A healer. Valuing life.
She thought not. Zeera was, as a matter of fact, the offspring of two of the greatest Healing and Life Necroauxists. But that doesn't mean she couldn't surround herself with Death and Decay.
"How so? All Necroauxists are Healers!" He exclaimed mildly. Searching her face for any trace of amusement so as to know she was joking... or lieing.
Zeera merely sighed. Angrily no doubt. There comes the stereotypes already. Most other religionists knew almost nothing about Necroauxists. And those that had made themselves known were the Healing and Life Necroauxists. Other religiongs preferred to call the Death and Decay Necroauxists the Necroauxists's Counterpart. What they couldn't comprehend is that the Death and Deacy Necroauxists were a part of the biggere Necroauxism Picture.
"I Master Death and Decay. This chair Is dead. That is proof enough." She hated admitting that she was considered a 'Mistress' of Necroauxist Death and Decay by some of the more fervent believers of Necroauxism. Namely it's Priests.
Zeera merely found that she loved her religion as much as life itself. Just because she was a Death Necroauxist never really meant she did not value life. The misunderstood are rarely understood... She thought. Not that she really believed it made sense or anything.
Listening to the angry speeches made by the Judicators below, a cruel, sallow smile crept over her pale features as she relished the thought of an end to the religiong of which she despised.
She never knew why she despised them. But she did. and that was good enough for her. It was obviously not part of her Post-Necroauxist Mania as that ends much quicker. No. She'd loathed Technophilism for most of her life of which she had known of Technophilism.
Grimly, she noted the jubilant man that had so hopefully inquired if she were a healer had edged away. A terrified look on his face as he noticed her eyes. Earlier, they had been a glassy black. And now they were a horific shade of violet. They screamed 'I know all'.
"But What is your plan of attack?" She shouted loudly. She knew she had no right to speak. and this was echoed as a hoarde of Judicators glared at her. But she cared not. Staring levelly, and hard at them.
She never really did object to warfare. And now was not the time to start.
Kurcius' disciple looked up to the higher reaches of the amphitheater, cut off mid sentence by some opinionated troublemaker. For a moment he was silent and burning with anger at being interrupted.
"Mobilize and fight this scourge in their own homes!" He shouted after a seconds pause. A shout from the assembly reaffirmed the statement.
Justin turned in his seat to see the woman whom had called the Judicator into question. Before he smelled the rot, he knew she was the darker aspect of Necroauxism.
"Sit down before you do something stupid!" He hissed at her, partially glad that she had given some level of guidance to the impassioned rant.
