I`m half Japanese and am currently learning it in Japan. Does that count? And does it really matter if someone is? Being Japanese is cool and all...but it`s just another race.

EDIT: I forgot...I have a Japanese citizenship...therefore=Japanese.....

I'm American, but I speak a bit of Japanese (trying to learn, I write in Japanese to my penpals... well, actually both Japanese and English but still, it's part Japanese). I can form simple sentences and generally need a translating book though...

I didn't know the Japanese had green eyes? (Referring to your profile pictures)

I'm taking it next year, and hopefully already possessing the knowledge of one asian language will make it easier for me. >__<

And @ Kurai, there's nothing wrong with being American. You can't change your race. Be happy with who you are. ^-^

It will be about what country everyone is from. :D

I don't like being American. it's like, a disgrace for me becase of the stupidity of the majority of people here. And that damned president of ours makes me want to shoot myself between the eyes. Plus, it's like, 50 billion times harder for me to freaking learn Japanese when I can't find anyone to teach me that isn't creepy(I had one friend who was teaching me, but she spent the entire year hitting on me instead of teaching me Japanese so that kind of went down the drain...=___=) Hopefully it'll be easier for me to find a teacher when I go to Cali July of 07. -crosses fingers-

I find it kinda weird how a lot of people want to be Japanese...o_O
No matter how much you study the language or culture, you'll never be Japanese.
Yeah..I'm not Japanese.

I think I'll be happy and satisfied once I can read, write, and speak Japanese fluently...and live in Japan. ^^; as long as I'm away from America it's all good.

I think I agree with you here. ninja People should be happy and proud of who they are.

To original thread poster- I'm not Japanese either. x3 I live in Florida. Plus, I don't think it matters if one speaks the language or not to appreciate/like the music. I think most bands who tour in non-Japanese language speaking countries like trying to bridge the language gap. Likewise for American bands traveling to Non-English speaking countries. xD
