The horror....*shivers*
My doctor said I need to lose weight to lower my blood pressure or else I might have to start taking medication. gonk
Ick, the worse part is I'm addicted to sweet things and stuff with starch. Actually I take that back, the worse part is not being able to eat my favorite food, potatoes. ;-;
Oh well....everybody tell me how they feel about diets. xp
And if your doctor has ever told you that you're at a "dangerous" weight level.

PS: I'm reallyy sleepy and want to watch Patch Adam before I go to bed, so I'll read your posts tomorrow! Plus I know its late so most of you probably aren't on.
And to be honest I haven't posted in a long time or read any new rules, if any, so please accept my apologies if this thread is inappropriate.

Edit: Before I go, you might ask why I don't post this tomorrow, right? Well I have horrible memory and if I don't write/type something down thats in my head I'll forget what it was. sweatdrop
I have loads of papers I've written, about crap that doesn't even strike my interest anymore. I'm just one of those people, I even write little adventure stories that sound great but I never finish them. xD

Diets never work because it's nearly impossible to just stop eating certain things.. the best thing to do is slowly cut the bad stuff out of your everyday life.

I've never been told I'm at a dangerous weight level, but I know I am. S'why I've been eating better and working out.

Ack. Diets sucks. You need to stop eating everything you like...
Kudos for do it because they want, and have the will to do, but when its against your will, it sucks major a**.
But if its for healthy reasons, I encourage you to follow your doctor's instructions.
Tought diets don't work well. What works are those things where you re-define your eating habits.

I sttoped drinking soda/pop and eating cookies for a month to save money, and almost went wild! whee

bwahahha take ALOT of calcium i chew 2 Viactiv chews a day and eat pretty much the same ..i lost 15lbs so i started running and lost 30 =o the calcium help you burn more fat :nod: and i still eat everything i use to but dont stop taking the calcium or youll gain more weight XDD

I'm going to try my best to not eat anything I regularly eat. I eat very unhealthy. gonk
They also gave me these anti-depressents. o.O
It's to make me lose my apetite and my doctor said "...and its to help the depression you might get from going on a diet." I really have no clue if she was joking with me. xd

Yeah, I think I kind of had the choice of doing this diet or not. My taste buds and stomach really didn't want to but I knew it would keep me from going on medication. sweatdrop
Plus, high blood pressure is supposedly in my family, so is strokes and other heart problems. gonk

The only new thing I've tried was raspberries, blueberries, and apples. I'm predicting I should try and open my eating habit to different foods.

Don't diet... it just makes you miserable and hardly anyone succeeds at it.

Just get rid of the bad things you really don't need, but it's okay to treat yourself to those once in a while.

I would suggest getting more active. It's a lot more effective and better for your body. I'm not talking about running a couple miles everyday and lifting weights, just try something like yoga, walking, or swimming. There's a program called Body Flex that I've used and it works wonders for me. Just do something aerobic, not strenuous.

dont feel bad im going on a diet too, but only cause im sick and tired of being picked on cause of my weight so i decided to change that. i work out every day i lift weights 3 times a week, cutt donw on my pop intake and drink alot more water, watch what i eat for the most part, and i started tannign because i am unhealthily pale. so yea, hopefully my senoir year ill be a nock out

And I'm going to walk 4 days a week for 30 minutes. Thats what the doctor said to do. I think if I just follow the little paper she gave me and walk those days I will lose some weight. And I can't treat myself to anything. I don't think I should treat myself to the same things I eat. I'd just rather change my whole diet habit and lose weight and not have to worry about my health. xp

I've had my doctor tell me I had a 'dangerous' weight, but after he examined me it turned out not all that 'dangerous'. No high blood-pressure, no indication of diabetes (even though it runs in the family), nothing wrong with my heart, yadiyadiyada. Of course I'm only 24, but still... It was nice to see him swallow his own words.
