I don't know if anyone's created a thread like this yet, but I was bored and thought I'd give it a go. For those hippys who love animals too much to eat them, what are your favorite tofu recipies? I like tofu curry and I like to mix it with Rice-a-Ront. Mmmm....

You should. It doesn't taste like much by itself, but when you add it to things it absorbes the flavor and can be quite tasty. Good source of protien too and cheaper then meat.

It's wonderful in a tortilla with vegetables and peanut sauce . . you can almost imagine it's chicken! That is . . if you're not vegetarian. sweatdrop

Go right ahead. I don't see the trouble. Not a big fan of soy milk though. Taste kinda funny to me, but whatever floats your boat. biggrin

Soy milk is yummy. I like tofu though if it's used in thai food or a meat substitute.

I've tried it before, I'm a meateater, but I'll eat just about anything. I like it really crispy though, I can't eat it when it's all smushy, I have a thing against the texture of it. Weird I know. sweatdrop

Tofu is one of the best foods that I've ever had. The only problem is that most restraunts don't serve it casue hundreds of americans prefer to bealieve that a diet should include about 2 pounds of both raw and cooked meat per day.
Dr. Atkins can can eat me should he decide to think that he can resurect himself.

My aunt was on it and once she got off she gained all the weight back and more. As to Tofu, I've never had it fried and crispy. Sounds like it would be good that way. And they should serve it more in resturants.
