After a short sleep Mboni was eager to get to know her new home. The wild dog was suprised that she had never come across this pack in her travels, but she was glad it happened eventually. Mboni wouldn't have been able to go on much further.
Breathing in the scent of her packs land, she set out to scout out its borders, and make herself familiar with her new surroundings. And maybe meet another wild dog like herself aswell.
After some pacing, Mboni needed a break. She was still weak from her wanderings the day before, and so, with tired red, black and white paws, padded over to a small tree. Taking refuge in the shade.

Bini yawned as she moved through the grasses, finding herself on the other side of that pack's borders. Her tongue lolled from her mouth as she walked, sides heaving in and out as her breath came. She'd just been running and trying to catch some of the tasy looking birds, but no luck. Or perhaps bad luck, seeing as all the things that happened to Bini.
Her nostrils flared as the scent of the other caught her and her ears perked up, Bini loved to meet others. Having no thoughts of the border or why the certain scent was there Bini pranced right on forward. Her tail flopped back and forth in a merry manner, eyes seaking out the other. "Hello?" She barked out, eyes flicking right passed the tree that the stranger was currently under.

Mboni was too tired to notice the others scent. Her thought and concentration were pre-occupied, mainly on her new pack family, and what they would be like when she met them. She hoped it would be soon.
The hello barely registered in her mind, but when it did Mboni was on her feet, eager to meet whoever had spoke. She didn't think to see if it was a lion or another animal that was stronger than her.
When the orange and blue eyes of the adult wild dog fell upon the adolescent her hopes within grew. Maybe this was one of her pack, or maybe it wasn't. She would just have to ask, but not yet. "Hello." Came the simple reply from the red wild dog, and a soft one at that.

Bini was thrilled as she spotted the other finally, then made her way over to the tree. "Oh shade... I wish i'd thought of that!" That made a lot of sense, didn't it? Did she mean the idea of sitting in shade, or the idea of inventing shade? Which no one invented, or perhaps the god(dess) of shadows had invented.
She could tell that the other was older than her, and she hadn't met anyone so much older. Just a lot younger, so this would prove to be interesting. Or utterly boring. "I'm Bini." She sat herself down, a grin on her muzzle. "What's your name? I haven't seen anyone for a while.. so it's nice to run into another!"

As the brown wild dog came closer, Mboni noticed that she lookedyunger than herself, as did most dogs she had met. A thought briefly crossed her mind that she could be incredibaly old, but she removed it so easily, as she had learnt to do over her lonely years.
"Bini, that is a nice name." For a moment Mboni wondered if it meant anything, like her name did as her mother had told her long ago. However she decided not to ask, and continued on talking. "My name is Mboni. I too, have not seen many Wild Dogs around here. Only Dhati, my pack leader, but he left to look for his daughter. I am scouting for other members of my pack, I am new you see. Are you a member?"

Bini nodded lightly. "Mboni is a nice name too, happy to meet you." She grinned and her tail beat against the ground as it wagged. Her head tilted a little. Were these pack lands? She looked around slowly, then back to Mboni. "Ehm... nope, I'm not a pack memember." She laughed a little uneasily. "Am I on pack lands?" Her own mother had told her long ago about territories, but Bini could never pay enough attentioned to things like that.

Mboni looked a bit dissappointed when she learnt her newest aquaintance was not of her pack, but it didn't really matter, for the first time in a long time she had company, and she was grateful. "Oh, well, I don't think you are, not yet anyway, you are pretty close, but I'm not really sure. I am still getting used to the boundaries." Came the soft reply from the adult female.
Mboni had guessed that the pack border ended not far from the position she was sitting in, but other than that, her guess was very vague. "How come you are not travelling with anyone else?" Asked the dog. Mboni herself was once a lone dog, but it was because she had no family, and couldn't find anyone up until now. Surely this adolescent was not like her old self.

Bini nodded and looked releaved she hadn't crossed any sacred border or anything. It was a good thing that Mboni was nice, too. What if Bini had ran into some old grump? She smiled lightly at the thought and then shook her head, she should be foccusing on the conversation at paw.
"With anyone else?" Her head tilted and she looked around slowly, as if the landscape held the secret as to why this was. "I like to wander... and meet new dogs..." She shrugged lightly, she wasn't sure how to answer it. "SO I am only traveling alone until I happen upon another stranger going in the same direction." She grinned, satisfied with her answer and quite proud of thinking of it.

Mboni thought in wonder at the girls answer. All her life she had been wandering alone, wanting to be with others again, and here she happens to meet a young adolescent who doesn't care who she is with. The two couldn't have been more different.
"I used to wander when I was younger, but for different reasons." Ones she reluctantly wanted to go into. "So how many other dogs have you met on your travels? And where is it you are heading to?" The two questions came quickly, Mboni thought it would be easier for the younger to answer two questions at once, rather than answer one and then another.

Bini slowly let herself flop fully to the ground, side against the dirt and grass as she peered up at the tree branches. "Oh I've met a few here and there, mostly they are good company." Except for the times some of the males made her feel very uncomfortable. She just didn't understand why though, being naive to some of their true intentions.
"Headed to.... No where, really. I suppose I am headed to playtime." She laughed lightly and then looked a little sheepish. "I really enjoy games... so I like to find others who enjoy them." She didn't mind answering all of the questions, she didn't really think about it either. "So is this pack big?"

So this dog was younger than her, but had met more wild dogs than Mboni ever had since she began her travels alone. How the gods musn't have liked her until now. "Headed to playtime? Is that a place?" Mboni looked a bit confused, however the true meaning dawned on her. "Oh you mean to play with others! Forgive my slow uptake, it doesn't happen often."
The question abuot the pack size was an easy on to answer, Dhati had only told her the size yesterday. "I think our leader said there was twenty members, but some have gone off missing. Perhaps they are searching for playtime too. I am yet to meet any though." Mboni's last sentence was a bit saddening, she was looking forward to meeting the others, but it just hadn't happened yet.

Bini was almost a little lost when the other questioned the use of playtime... a place called playtime? Not that Bini knew of. Her ears swiveled forward though, and the other seemed to correct herself. Bini nodded in agreement, playing with others.
"Twenty?" She breathed out, that was a lot of wild dogs! She had been talking with Miremba a lot lately, even thinking of going along with the adult. She wasn't sure though, she used to live with just her mother. Going from two to twenty was a big leap, though Bini did not know how many memebers Miremba's pack may or may not have. "I am sure you'll get to meet some soon, though! Too many not to meet, right?" Bini grinned, her tail beating against the ground.

Mboni nodded somlny. "Yes, 20, Dhati said the pack is large. I plan on getting to know the cubs better. I am a nanny in the pack after all." Mboni got to her feet and stretched, extending her front legs out as far as they could go, arching her back into the air, then collapsing in a heap on the ground. Just like she had done when she was a little pup.
The adults thoughts then turned from the pups she would eventually have to look after, to the thoughts of the den, with meat, shelter and warmth. The sun had an orange glaze over the african savanah by the tim she realised how late it was getting. Mboni's eyes scanned the area, noticing the glowy tinge the trees and shrubs had to them. It was time for her to leave. Enough exploring for today.
"I am sorry Bini, but I am afraid I have to leave, my stomach is disagreeing with me and my paws ache for a rest. I will catch you again soon, young wild dog." Came the proclamation of sorts from Mboni. With that, she rose to her delicate canine paws once more, and headed in the direction (she hoped) that was to her new home.

Bini's ears perked. "Younger pups? Oh they are so much fun! You are lucky for that type of job." She nodded to show just how much she ment it. After a moment the adult seemed to rise, reasy to leave. Bini stayed seated as the other bid her goodbye. "See you again one day, if the stars will it." She called after, tail sweeping against the ground.
After a moment she too rose and stretched, though she just stretched out her front paws. She turned herself around and headed back the direction she'd come.
