Dragain carried a sleepy Elana into the park, worried about the child's current condition. Elana used to be bright and cheery and full of energy, but nowadays, she just seem to be weak and frail. Other then that, Elana had also been waking up from nightmares almost everyday. Nightmares which seem to inflict real, physical wounds.
"What's wrong? Why don't you tell me?"
Elana's eyes were closed as she wrapped her arms around Dragain's neck. Her head rested on her mother's warm shoulders, feeling comfort in her voice. At the question, Elana stayed quiet as she pretended to sleep. Some things are better off a mystery. If Dragain knew what she had been doing, Elana would feel more guilty than she already feels.
Anyway, she can't tell. Something is spotting her from talking about it. Deep in her heart, Elana wished for Ayden to be beside her all the time... She knows that it is a selfish wish, but she can't help it.

Blue dragged spirals in the wood chips under the swings with his toe, staring listlessly at the ground beneath him. He poked at the ground, pushed lightly back to make himself swing; but it wasn't interesting. Nothing was interesting. Usually, everything was interesting; the world shone, even when it was frightening, even when the ghosts swarmed thickly.
Even the swings weren't interesting. He looked guiltily over to where his father and little brother were laughing by the baby swings, Merlyn shrieking "FLYING!" as he sailed through the air. It looked like fun, and Blue sighed. The swings weren't fun today, and they should be.
He slipped off the seat and meandered away from the swingset, going nowhere. There must be someone or something here.

Dragain sighed, receiving no response from Elana. Assuming that the child was sleeping, she sat down on a bench and placed Elana beside her. It was a fine day, but Elana was in no condition to play. She looked too tired and listless.
"Mum... I'm a little hungry..." Elana muttered softly, rubbing her eyes. "Can you buy some ice-cream? Please?"
Dragain nodded slowly, and slipped out of her seat. Hearing the ring of a bell she presumed to be from an ice-cream truck, the female headed towards that direction.
Elana yawned, and pulled up her legs, hugging them to her chest. Hearing footsteps, she looked up and saw someone... Someone she just knew from first sight, is a Tale. She smiled and waved weakly to him. If she don't do this, she might just fade away into nothing.

Blue looked up at the sound of quiet voices. A woman and a little girl. A winged girl. That piqued his interest, and he stared until he remembered that it was rude to stare. He glanced away, and then back as the woman stood and moved away.
The girl was smiling at him! Blue blinked and smiled back, coming closer hesitantly. "I'm Blue," he offered, and put his hands in his pockets so that he wouldn't be tempted to chew his claws. .. Maybe he'd make a friend?

"I'm Elana..." She replied with a weak smile, offering her right hand for a handshake. She studied him for a moment before asking curiously, "What are you doing in the park?"

Blue shook Elana's hand politely. "I asked my dad to bring me, because I was bored, but there isn't anything to do," he answered, and poked his toe at the ground. "Was that your mom?" he asked in turn, nodding after the woman who had been with Elana.

Elana felt a little more energetic when their hands came into contact, and she shook it firmly before letting go. A smile formed on her lips and she nodded, "Yes, she went to buy ice-cream... I think I heard an ice-cream truck a few minutes ago."
She shifted her position on the bench, "Would you like to take a seat?"

Blue nodded and scooted up onto the bench, pulling his knees up and propping his heels on the seat. He rested his chin on his knees. He hadn't done anything today, but he was still tired. It wasn't fair.
"An ice cream truck?" He absently put a claw into his mouth, worrying it with his teeth. " ... maybe Dad will get me a push pop if I say please," he mused aloud. "What are you getting?"

Elana shrugged and managed a smile. She felt as tired as before again, but replied, "Well, I normally buy vanilla ice-cream in a cone, so I guess that's what mum will buy me. I didn't specify before she walked away... What do you normally buy?"
Her wings gave a gentle flutter before she added as an afterword, "And what's a push pop?"

"I like push pops." Blue made a vague gesture in the air with his hands. "It's like a popsicle in a tube thing that you push up and eat, and the tube thing keeps it from dripping all over you." One of his ears folded down, and he added, "I don't like being very messy. And they taste good. I like the lime kind. They turn your tongue colors, too."

Elana blinked and replied, voice edged with awe, "I've never seen - nor eaten - anything like that before! It sounds really tasty, and it changes tongue colors too." She giggled softly, "I'll rememeber to try it out one day. Push pops... Even the names sounds fun."

Blue wrapped his arms around his knees and smiled shyly at Elana. "Do you like lime?" he asked, curious. He was tired, sure, but they weren't running around, and this pretty pale girl was friendly.

"Lime?" Elana echoed, thinking over it for a moment before nodding. She feels a little more energertic then when she had first arrived, but she's still sleepy.
"Yep... Speaking of which, would you like to get a push pop to eat now? I can ask my mum to buy one for each of us when she returns."

"I don't have any money," Blue said doubtfully. "I can go ask my dad for some." He stayed on the bench, though. He'd get up in just a moment. It was okay.

Elana nodded, but gave a grin, "How about taking it as my treat? We could walk over to the ice-cream truck, but I'm tired... So let's just wait for my mum to return?" She gave a yawn and looked around, wondering how long it'll take Dragain to return.
"Meanwhile, How about we talk about your interests?" She asked, pulling her legs up onto the bench and sat cross legged.
