Darsuin Mountains

The Darsuin Mountain range is comprised of a mixture of rocky grounds, swift rivers, steep climbs, and a rather huge dragon. The dragon won't bother you unless you bother it, but I would advise against this. Mostly children and adults go here. If you wish to accompany your baby here then please be careful.

Two drakes trudged up towards the mountain. One of them, who had long been the voice of reason in the family, looked up at the other. "Adele, are you sure you know what you're doing?" Linath asked, furrowing her brow a bit before she gasped when she tripped over a rock. When Adele had announced her plans to get away for a bit and explore the Daruin Mountains, Linath had decided to come along for safety reasons. Draco was staying home, taking care of Niara, the new baby, while Alma tended to errands that she had to do. For the life of her, however, Linath couldn't see what Adele needed to see up here. Not after the traumatic day that they had all had earlier.

"I just needed to get away from Draco, Linath." Adele said softly, pausing beside a quick-running river. "You know how he's being." Indeed, her brother had suddenly became overprotective of her, and she was beginning to feel a bit suffocated. It was a miracle that she could get away for a bit while he was distracted by Niara, and she appreciated the company that bringing Linath along had offered. She readied herself before easily leaping over the river and continuing onward towards the giant mountain before her.

Profet and Skalis appeared at the base of the main mountain. Skalis Seemed solem while profet just walked on happily. Mom, why do we got have to climb thid stupid mountain? There's nothin but a manky old dragon what lives up there. Complained Skalis. Something made him turn toward the other mountain, a voice that sounded familier... That sounds like that little green bean from the fields. What's she doing in the mountains? said Skalis. He jumped into the air and flew toward the mountain he'd heard linath on. He flitted in the air just above the mountain listening for the voice again. He looked for her in the twilight but his drake tail having no eyes could not help him with night vision like the others. Now where is she.. I hope she knows what she's doing up here in the mountains... He whispered. His face took on an expression of worry in much contrary from the look of gleeful disdain he'd worn so much.

Linath sighed a little as she also leaped over the river, stumbling slightly. She never seemed to be as agile or graceful as Adele was - a fact that she couldn't understand. "How long do you plan to stay out here?" she called to her younger sister, lightly touching a gnarled tree branch and using it to pull her up an incline that Adele had bounded up with no trouble whatsoever.

Adele stood at the top and offered one of her hands to the other girl, smiling a little. "Until I feel better." she simply said, tugging Linath up to the top of the incline. She then turned and started off once more, head held high and smile once again in place. In her mind, however, she was experiencing a torrent of thoughts. She wasn't up here just to forget how Draco was treating her. Oh no. She was up here to try to push Harry Potter to the back of her mind. He had been on her mind almost constantly since she had first met him, and she knew that it could be dangerous, what with Draco being as protective as he was.

Skalis caught a hirt of a voice coming from the mountain and swopped down to check it out. Not being able to see in the dark, he crashed head on into a tree. Ow! Stupid tree.. He moaned getting up and rubbing his head. He had landed not far from the two girl drakes and Hoped he hadent been heard.

Linath froze, her eyes growing wide at the sound of a crash and a bit of muttering. "Adele, did you hear that?" she whispered, scanning all of her surroundings.

"It was nothing, Linath. Don't trouble yourself." Adele said, not bothering to whisper, and rolled her eyes a bit at her sister and her worrysome ways.

"No, seriously, I- Skalis!" Linath proclaimed the last name when she saw a form on the ground, telltale cobwebs formed into its hair. Her dragon tail immediately opened its mouth and hissed, bits of venom falling from its teeth. "What the heck are you doing here?! Draco told you to stay away from us!" she growled.

Adele, who had come back over to Linath during this, paused behind her sister and peeked over her shoulder at the boy on the ground. "...Are you alright?" she said softly, arching an eyebrow.

Since his previous mountain adventure, Avo had become... well, obessed by the dragon - that was a good way to put it. Admittedly, they hadn't found the scaled beastie, but that was no curb on his enthusiasm.
So he had been planning to spend another night in the mountains; he would find that dragon or stay here forever!
It was the crash that drew him out of the tent that he had fixed up slightly lower down the mountain, well away from the path, planning to find just what was going on... and if it was the dragon! Hence the rustling in the bushes, which quickly ceased when he realised who it was - the two femmes he didn't know, but wasn't that Skalis. Geesh, but he was an ugly kid - and he had been such a cute baby... it was a pity, hmm?

Adele rolled her eyes a bit and shoved Linath to the side, stepping forward to offer Skalis a hand to help him up. He still wasn't her most favorite of drakes, but she felt that she should at least check and see if he was alright. After all, she'd want someone to do that for her if she had just fallen with a crash.

Linath, meanwhile, had stumbled to the side, mentally cursing Adele for being more stable on her feet than she herself was. She came to a stop a few feet away, where she had regained her footing, and found herself face-to-face with a green-haired boy that appeared to be a little older than herself. She blinked, the words on her lips being paused for a moment, before she managed to murmur, "Umm...hi."

"Good evenin'!" Avo was initially suprised; suddenly being face-to-face with another Drake was gen'rally suprising; but he recovered quickly. He made a little step backwards, making a little bow. "I'm Avocado - pleased to meet'cha!"

Linath smiled a little at the swift recovery, and quickly moved to curtsy a little. "I'm Linath. It's nice to meet you, Avocado." she said softly with a little laugh. She couldn't recall ever seeing this boy before, thinking that she would've remembered his green hair and purple eyes if nothing else.

Skalis got up and dusted himself off. He grinned sheepishley at Adele. I...I just wanted to...to say.... I'm-.... S-sorry. He said. He cast a glance at Linath. Draco can do what he wants with me. I just didn't think I should go with out apologizing... He shifted his gaze to Avacado. Hello there Avacado. Didn't expect to see you here.

Adele withdrew her hand when he didn't use it to rise, and couldn't help but smile a little at his sheepishness. "...It's alright." she felt she had to say. All that had commenced while she was unconcious had been explained to her the previous night, and while she had been angry before, she felt she had gotten over it by now.

You know, what I said before was true.. You are quite Pretty. And I think that who ever wins your heart will be a lucky drake indeed. Said Skalis. I'm sorry about that bet I made too... It's just that I know i'll never win the love of a girl with my looks, so I battle them with a wager like I did to your brother. He scratched his arm absentmindedly as he spoke.
PostPosted: Sat Jul 01, 2006 3:10 pm

"You said I wasn't pretty enough for you, if I can remember correctly." Adele pointed out, laughing again and stopping when she heard the soft crackle of thunder far away. She shook her head a little at the sound before looking back at Skalis. "And if you were a bit nicer at times, I'm sure there'd be a girl out there who would fall in love with your personality and-"

"SKALIS!" The angry shout echoed around the mountain range as Draco showed up and looked around for any sight of the other boy, seething. His silver eyes were dangerously narrowed, and he looked absolutely livid. He started towards the mountain, looking for the Dark drake.

Uh-oh. Said skalis. He looked to the sound of Draco's yell.
