So I was thinking about that thing, you know how people say,
"Oh, I care so much about you... I would die for you."
Well. I kinda figured...
Say someone is standing in front of you and the person who means the most to you. The person is going to kill one of you but not both, but you get to decide who. What would you do?
A: Let them die B: Die yourself so they can live
Most people would pick B. But, see... if that person stays alive, they will have to wander the earth with the torture and memory of knowing you died for them. Whereas to die is to experience releif of EVERYTHING. That includes guilt, remorse, etc., for letting someone else die for you.
So I kind of think that if you really love someone, you'll let them die... and go through the torture of knowing they no longer live, knowing that they are happy (or at least feel nothing) wherever they are.
Make sense?

But I'm not talking about fear... I'm talking about...
if two people each would rather die for the the other, then I would let that person die for me as he or she wishes, rather than force that person to live with the guilt of letting me die. Instead of taking the death for that perosn, I would take their lifelong torture and guilt.
Because there are many things worse than death.

I don't know, I've never actually been in love, but I like to think that I would.

I can't really say what I would do... Until it came down to it. Either way, it's a terrible thing to have to think of... But someone said to me for the first time in my life, that they care so much for me that they would take a bullet for me. And I almost cried... That is devotion... Even just by saying it.

i picked b and iam staying with it because with you sacrificing yourself would give them more courage to forge ahead and make the best out of there life even without you, because, it makes them feel important and not alone

I would refuse to decide, if someone is... desisive enough to kill someone, they sure as hell can choose who they want to kill.
i know this post is kinda off the point... sorry sweatdrop

the thing is this...
obviously if a person is holding two people against their will and threatening to kill one, they are kinda twisted.
so what if you sacrificed yourself? wouldn't the person just kill you and then kill your friend too? I mean...you'd be dead. you wouldn't be around to make sure that the other person gets set free.
on the other hand, at least the person would get to know that someone cared enough to die for them... even if they were going to die anyway...
~~ I don't know. I guess I can't really say for sure what I would do unless I were actually in the situation... and God forbid that ever happen.

I've actually thought about this before. I know exactly who that person would be. And I think that if one of us dies, the other will die (maybe not physically, but spiritually). If two people are truely connected, they will be together in the end anyway. With that said, if I absolutely had to choose, I would sacrifice myself with the hope that I could watch over this person and be with them. Loyalty is definitely my strongest personality trait.
