I think we get the point...
it's just that as of now please do not make any new 4Kids related topics
there are plenty already to talk about the dubing right now
if you think you really have something worthy of making a new topic over, you can try
but I'll tell you right now that if I see it's about the same thing as the other theads or something illrelivent altogeather, I'm just going to lock it neutral

Please, if you never heard of One Piece till you saw the dub, you shoudlnt be complaining. For you cant say " But they did all these gay changes" if you liked the show before you saw the sub....... thou some cahnges are crazy.
Good Example: They took out Little Garden and Lost Island.
Bad Example: They changed his name to Trace! OMFG the worlds over!

Vile_Maverick Please, if you never heard of One Piece till you saw the dub, you shoudlnt be complaining. For you cant say " But they did all these gay changes" if you liked the show before you saw the sub....... thou some cahnges are crazy. You can still dislike the changes. One Piece Dub is still good, but it's in spite of the changes they made. The source material is so good that they couldn't dull that diamond completely.

The main complaint i have is what they did to captain smoker... WTF!?!?! NO CIGARS!?!?! that just pisses me off... the cigars are what makes captain smoker captain smoker.

I agree, this could be the thread for all the dub haters. Though I dont agree with everything 4kids did, the dub WAS the reason I started liking One Piece, then I found out there was subed online and now I like it much more. But come on people. If you say its so bad, then why dont we all just pretend like it doesnt exist and not give it air by mentianing it so much.

yea, now Smoker seems to continously have his mouth open, why hasn't something flown into it yet? But yeah, the dub was what got me into onepiece.

I have something that will surely help out about 4Kids.
A friend of mine showed me a petition that people are signing. It's a petition Viz Media will be reading. Hopefully, if we get many people to sign, they will re-dub it. We're trying to get our favorite anime show back, in it's origional version, AND in english. People say the changes 4Kids has made aren't good at all, so here's the link to the petition if you'd like to sign. Adding a comment would help a lot. Remember, Viz Media will be reading it. I WAS upset about them changing Ace to Trace... I think 4KidsTV made a lot of pointless changes.. rolleyes But nevertheless, they shouldn't have converted an teen + adult anime into a kids anime. Even if it DID have good values. It triggered so much hate when 4KidsTV could have been a respectable company before all of us began prejudicing against them because of their One Piece falure.

I can live with the name changes and the voice changes, I always have. It's really unrealistic though. There's hardly any blood, they took out all the guns and replaced them with... stupid gadgets that are suppose to scare people to death. Oh, I'm sooooo scared of a gaint hammer! They turned it into a pixie land or something, where no one dies and no one gets hurt. OMG, where's the realism?!

I like the Japanese version way better than the 4kids dubbed version. If 4kids is changing everything for younger kids, why don't they quit making the dubbed versions? I mean, they've recieved hate letters from One Piece fans already. Many mistakes are found in the dub versions and the lines for the OP actors really do suck. :S
