Pay close attention! The third dimension, I mean. I took a course of evening classes in 3D modelling and animation recently, and now I'm playing around with Blender 3D. Here's my work so far: Not much to look at just yet, but I'm getting proud of it already. cool Only real problem so far is that I've decided I'm going to rig it (that is, set up the mechanisms that allow the limbs to move and be animated) before I'm going to add textures and such. This is because texturings is fun but rigging is less so, and if I do the texturing first I'll not get round to the less-fun rigging part of things. However, rigging breaks my head. gonk

Hooah, fresh update. You can't see it, but the limbs are all articulated and rigged ready for animation now. cool I still need to rig the mouth and eyes, but once that's done it's texturin' time!

Page Boy i go back and forth between liking and not liking how his mouth is set in like that. It'll have metal detailing around the inset when it's textured that will hopefully make it look less funky. 3nodding

I think that your polygon counts for the round things could be higher. Have you played wuth NURBS?
Spline rendering is smoooth.

Dr. Valentine I think that your polygon counts for the round things could be higher. Have you played wuth NURBS? Spline rendering is smoooth. I'm having a go at keeping the polygon count fairly low for the moment, though it shouldn't be too hard to increase the number of polys for the joints and such for a smoother look. 3nodding

i guess this is a normal reaction, but i'm getting to like the chracter alot more as you add more details, definately get's more interesting to look at. I dont know antyhing about 3D modeling, so of course i could'nt offer much feed back on the earlier stages other than "it grey and boring, fixit makit pretty." Tawney Anyone else get a flashback to Reboot while looking at these? Maybe it's just me... ninja *is lost in nostalgia*
