Held together by a thread
Breaking from a building dread

What, oh what, has aspired here?
Lost, is all we have held dear

Take it back, we will, you must
In a bloody ending, they all do trust

A Revolution is near

A thousand years war, a thousand year peace. A melodious world of black and white. The world's two faced scale in a perfect balance. But such harmony can only lead to one outcome. A dramatic shift in power awaits the world's people, for the war has been fought and the peace restored. What does this leave the eyes of man? Contrary to sight, utopia is far from reach. In such land of equality, one side must tip the scales.
-- "Prewritten History", Bard J. Erylen

Life can never be what it ought to be. Peace is just a paved road to another dispute. The land of Genubi knows this idea all too well, yet it lives in constant denial of its future. Society is crumbling over its sound foundation. Jobs many be plentiful, economy may be strong, the government may slightly grasp its own concept but mistrust is running wild. Fear is getting lose of its chains. The perpetual idea of being mislead by one so closely known is robbing the land of its very fertility. In times of prosperity, war is inevitable. Sensing the people's paranoia, the king and queen enlist the aid of seven individuals to locate the heart of this tidal wave. Just seven normal people, with no experience in the ways of the world or in war stratagy, were selected by the appriation of the Heavenly Shards, seven gems of the the seven Gods. Will these divinely chosen people uphold their duty? Will they restore a true peace or will they be the catalyst for war? Only time and the scales will reveal...

"Peace, ho! Caeser speaks!"
That's right, you.

The Rules: This entire passge is quite enjoyable, should you decide to actually read it. Please do.

1. Please, this is a literate role-play and my soul is poured into it. Think about your sentences, use proper grammar and spell correctly. I'm not asking for you to be a God at English, just to type in well written paragraphs please.
2. Gaia's Terms of Service are to be followed or risk being reported and deported to Panama.
3. OCC speech should be obviously offset. I don't care how you do it, just make sure that you do. Personally, I use the double parentheses. ((message))
4. I wish that I wasn't required to mention this, but no god modding. You are not a God, I am.
5. Watch your ******** language, ********! Goddamnit!
6. Romance, ah the romance... Don't gross me out. PG-13, you perves. Cybering is a definete no. And I'm taken, don't even ask.
7.There will be no killing of another character without their permission and my awareness. Make sure that both party's are in agreement and alert me before the murder/suicide/random accident.
8. Oh, GOD, please, I beg of you! SEND ME YOUR PROFILES! Post it in my thread and I will be forced to eat you, starting with your toes and then shipping the parts that I don't like to some random African country!
9. Should there arise a question concerning rules or how Genubi works, do not hesitate to PM your concerns. I will help you to the best of my abilites at the given moment.
10. And I so totally reserve the right to kick people out for being stupid and not descriptive enough. I want a well shaped, believeable character that makes for a great story! Role-Play=Story. There. I said it.

Profile Layout and Regulations:

Ok, the basic gist of profiles is this. If your race is some sort of half-breed with a fox or any other animal, I will eat your frotal lobe. If you make your character perfect in everyway with wonderful fighting skills, a true master of the Elements or an all knowing wizard, I will either saw off your p***s or attach a p***s to you, depending. If you insert an image for your appearence, I am so snacking on your left leg for the next week. If you do not come up with some sort of bio or feign amneisa to get out of coming up with a backstory for your character, I will scream at you and launch a nuclear war on your body hair. Basically, do something stupid or purposely skip some part of the profile that is not optional, I eat some part of your body in a slow and painful manner. And when I say alchemy, I don't mean Full Metal Alchemist. I mean potions.

Acceptable Races: All can wield magic to some extent, but not all races are cut out for it. Just use your common sense that I assume you have.

Human (You are well-rounded and suitable for all trades. With proper training, you could achieve great things but keep in mind that humans do have their strength limitations and mental capacities. Humans are, for the most part, frowned upon by other races for being so plain and prone to warring among their own kind.)
-
Dwarf (Most dwarves originate from Frost, a northern town just above the Misty Range. Dwarfs, themselves, are hardy folk who believe in equality and helping their people. They feel a strong tie to their kind and nation. They make good and loyal allies when they feel that the cause is just and true. They are dang good warriors.)
-
Elf (Elves are guardians of the forests, studying magic and swordplay for the duration of their long lives. Elves average 5 feet tall and typically weigh just over 100 pounds. they live on fruits and grains, though they occasionally hunt for fresh meat. Elves prefer colorful clothes, usually with a green-grey tint. Most are adept at elementalism or ranger type skills. They usually focus on one or the other.)
-
Half-Elf (Warning: You will probably be shunned by both sides of the family. You will never be full elf, nor full human, but you have the advantages of both. And not to mention disadvantages. Prolonged life and better dexterity make you a suitable thief or spy. Half-Elves, for some unknown reason, are quite gifted in the way of reshaping.)
-
Drow (Also known as Dark Elves, Drow are a depraved and evil subterranean offshoot. White is the most common hair color among them, but almost any pale shade is possible. Drow tend to be smaller and thinner than other sorts of elves, and their eyes are often a vivid red. Their society is matriarchal and rigidly controlled by the priesthood. Keep in mind, you are pretty evil. But, if you choose to be an evil drow, you must have a hidden soft side to abandon your people for the sky watching world.)
-
Orc (Orcs are aggressive humanoids that raid, pillage, and battle other creatures. They have a hatred of elves and dwarves that began generations ago, and often kill such creatures on sight. An orcs hair is usually black. It has lupin ears and reddish eyes. Orcs prefer wearing colors that many humans would consider unpleasant, such as blood red, mustard yellow, yellow-green, and deep purple. An adult male orc is a little over 6 feet tall and weighs about 210 pounds. Females are slightly smaller.)
-
Halfling (Halflings are cunning, resourceful survivors and opportunists who find room for themselves whenever they can. they might be reliable, hard-working citizens or thieves just waiting for their big chance. Halflings stand about 3 feet tall and usually weigh between 30 and 35 pounds. They have brown or black eyes. Halfling men may have long side burns but rarely grow beards.)
-
Centaur (Centaurs are woodland beings who shun the company of strangers. They are deadly archers and even more fearsome in melee. A centaur is as big as a heavy horse, but much taller and slightly heavier. A centaur is about 7 feet tall and weighs about 2,100 pounds.)

Acceptable Classes: These are not in order
Rogue
Mage - Pick a magic, dear Lord.
Warrior - Berserker, Ninja, Paladin... Etc. Use imAGInatiON!
(PM me ideas, mmkay?)

-Should you decide to weild some sort of magic, please read the "An Explaination on my Magic" post first. Thank you.-

Attention you people: I am now requiring a role-play sample along with the profiles. Nothing fancy, just something you had perviously written for a different role-play that demonstrates your skills, please. Thank you very much. I just want this RP to be descriptive and beautiful. You know how it is... It's my own world and I want the best for my baby...

A Geography Lesson First:

Genubi is an island in the general shape of a pear/deformed tear. A smaller island lies off its coast, named Yir, houses the up-and-coming city of Rothafor. Genubi is rather tiny and in being this small, it has monster terrian. This is the island where most of the role-play will be taking place, but there are more places on this planet of Arbil. I will insert a map at a later date.

User Image
Click the moon for the map. It is insanely huge. If your computer is slow, I reccomend against opening this...

Look. I did draw this on a divider during Algebra, but that is besides the point. Point is that it is really hard to decipher. At least you have a general idea on how Genubi is shaped. Oh yeah, a bit of history. It was originally named Cis and the huge scratch-out on the lower part of the map used to be a scale. Yeah. Now, I will list off some cities that I can remember off the top of my head.

Frost:
Tiny northern town, north of the Misty Range. Mainly inhabianted by dwarfs and their kin.

Stics
Pretty much abandoned, save the vampires. Major turf wars. Humans don't survive to tell the tale unless you run across the Althos Clan. Nicer bunch, they one drain you until near death.

Rothafor
Home to anybody and everybody. Technology is advancing. Think Indrustrial Revolution, without the pollution. It a wee bit more magic based.

Valley of Tears
The Valley of Tears is a meadow/valley area, not much of a town or city. It is home to mostly elves of all types.

Talon
Talon is the most acceptive city of outsiders, rogues, stranges races and odd ideals alike. Based at where the two rivers connect, Talon does get a bunch of strange characters. Most people who fully reside here are radicals, calling for a change in the government.

Giis City
Major port, it is a trading place. Mainly a huge market for the oddest things. If you need something, Giis City has it undoubtably. Most illegal thing can be found in its secret 'black market'. Just look underground, in the sewers.

Terant
Just a pretty much random town that almost knows nothing of the impending war or troubles that the kingdom is faced with. Quiet small town atmosphere. Close knit and not liking of any outsiders, suspicious or not.

Myr
On the mainland of Zebun, because Genubi is an island afterall. Not much is known of it. They often trade with Rothafor and Giis City.

More towns will spring up as Genubi progresses. Keep an eye out.

History of The Ilse of Genubi

Scientificly explained as "a series of freak volcanic mistakes", how Genubi came to be is a bit of a mystery. The Volcanic Theroy can be proven by the local (well, duh) magma activity, but earthquakes have also been considered, if it is obvious that Cis could have broken off from the mainland, Zebun. Though, there is also the more mythical approach. Not widely accepted as true anymore, the elders of smaller clans and covens often explain the mystery like so...
Near three thousand years ago, this world was like any other world untouched. A blank canvas ready to be given the vibrant colors of life. The Seven Gods of Above looked down on this world and saw it as a new start for life, a place of salvation for all. So, they thus fused their powers of the Seven Elements Divine to create a world of hopeful balance. Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Dark, Light and Time. Each one poured their love and care into our world, molding it equally without complainat or preference in the interest of life. And for a time, our world known as Arbil, the Balanced. The Seven God of Great Power were pleased with their fine work and each slowly desended into a deep sleep, forever locked away in a small temple of this very island, Genubi. Where is this temple? Not a soul can tell, but for a thousand years it brought nothing but war and for another thousand, it brought only peace. Yet, Arbil retained its glory as Arbil, the Balanced. Not a thing could bring her down... Save the waking Gods.
Perhaps there is irony in this story, a cosmic joke or a sort of sign. Scholars generally agree that the earthquake theory best suits the evidence.

The Thousand Year War, or Two Thousand Year war, depending on how morbid you like to be, began with the innocent search for the Temple of the sleeping Gods across Genubi. In a nutshell, there were the activists that maintained that the Temple should remain undisturbed and the activists that maintained that the Temple should be exposed so that all may pay their respects. The two groups didn't like what the other was doing, big war. The people who were neutral got sick of the war after so long and rose up against the two sides. Their war tactics differed in that they used a more peaceful resistance. Once they proved their side, a peace was instilled. The search for the Temple was stopped and everyone was happy for a while. But, lately, little things have been happening... Paranoia of what the neighbor has been doing with those weekly meetings... A new rush to find the Temple is underway, or so the rumors go. Who will find it first, hush hush... Think of the communist type of fear. Who will betray the group to better themselves? That brings us to now. You have been summon by the Shard, please restore our world to its proper name.

The Gods:

This is just real basic; amazing for all the detail I've gone through prior to now. Enjoy.

The Fire God - Ash
The Wind God - Gale
The Earth God - Root
The Water God - Rayne
The Light God - Star
The Dark God - Eclipse
The Time God - Chronos

See? Easy! One more thing. I use the term 'God' loosely. They are not male or female and have no preference to good or evil. They are merely entities of raw power that create and destroy on whim. No, the Dark God is not evil. Thank you.

An Explaination on my Magic:

So, you want to wield magic? Good! I am truly happy for you. Now, here there is a wide varity of magic for you to choose from. A wide range, a hard decison. Once you decide to major in the certain kind of magic, there is no changing it or learning another type as the game progresses. Once a certain kind, always that kind. Remember that your character is unlikely to know very much about his or her branch of magic when the game starts. I am leaving it up to you to give yourself restrictions on what your character can and can't do as of right now. Keep in mind that something may be unachieveable, such as a world wide hurricane. Also, as a mage, your defense and attack capablities are not very good.

Type of Magic I Allow:

Elementalism - Only one element may be controlled by you and you must specify which one you wield. Your power stems from your prayers to the Protector God, or, the God of the element that your decided to wield. Keep them happy and you keep your powers.

Illusionism - Illusionism is rather versitile in what you may do, but limits are required. Causing the illusion of an entire army is near immpossible. Remember, it is just a mirage, you cannot use what you 'create'.

Cleric - As always, choose and create spells that a reflective of your character, not what you want. Cleric magic is the only type of magic that allows you to learn bits and pieces of another branch of magic as you become more familier with your own trade. Not a lot, just bits and pieces.

Druid - Nature power, it is an earth based magic. You have the ability to communicated with animals, starting with only small ones. The trees speak to you and you understand the language of the winds. Spells include that of moving bits of earth about and growing of plants. You may keep one pet. You are not allowed to use metal type armors or weapons, as it is against your Druidic ways.

Runes - The ability to arrange and invoke the powers of runes. Usually used with divination and helps in analyzing chosen paths. Here, they may be used to call on ancient magic, not always strong, but strange.

Alchemy - No, NOT Full Metal Alchemist. Potion making. This is a creative branch of magic, still being explored for the possiblites are endless. Imagination is your limit, though you must only carry a few potions. Can't carry hundreds, for it is called 'weight' and 'gravity'. If you wish, take into account the phase of the moon when coming up with concoctions. It's a creative art, eh?

Shape Shifter - The ability to take on the form of an animal. Only one shift per day (To an animal and back to human) until I deem you worthy of a higher ability. Keep it logical to your character's abilites and personality. (A quiet person isn't going to change into a lion normally.)

Summoner - Utilizes intense powers to call up either demons or angelic beings from the higher or lower plains. There are two types, Demon Summoner and Angel Summoner. True Angel and Demons are diffucult to summon and mantain. Keep in mind, each being has a mind of its own and may not obey you depending on the extent of your powers. You can call up one being per day and keep it as long as it is needed, but it might not like you.

Reshaper - The ability to change one's physical and human characteristics. This, you may do as often as you like but it is difficult to maintain the features you may choose for long periods of time. No, you cannot turn into an animal. Stay within normal human characteristics. Reshapers tend to be roguish, if that's a word. o.o

The Workings of Genubi:

Time and weather will be dicated in blue by me when I deem it nessercy to change. The months are each exactly twenty-eight days long, no leap years. Weeks go like this...
Ryday = Monday
Tyrday = Tuesday
Garhdday = Wednesday
Feriday = Thursday
Bolgday = Friday (TGIB! Haha!)
Veranday = Saturday
Gurgleday = Sunday

Months are like so...
Jira = January
Fttia = Febuary
Myata = March
Aerya = April
Mabta = May
Jtyua = June
Jeetoa = July
Aigosta = August
Seria = September
Owidta = October
Nuomca = November
Dqufoa = December

Now, season are generally the same, called the same. Weather varies with where you live. Frost obviously has colder winters and so on and so forth. Twenty-four hours in a day, I'm not going to say what time it is, only where the sun is in the sky.
Should the Seven Warriors be attacked (Trust me, they will), I will do my best to dicate the actions and numbers of your enemies. I may enlist the aid of someone who I hope knows what he is doing, for I am a plot person. But, I doubt he will read this far. He's not as cool as you, the person who is reading this. Remember, God Modding is not allowed. You will probably get hurt somehwere down the line, but I'm sure that your friends will see to it that you do not get killed. If you do, I'm terribly sorry. I am work you back into the plot as a ghost or resurrected by the Gods, but if you willing die (As in alert me before killing off your character), you are out.
NPCs, which only I control for now, will be in green.

No one was ever hurt (other than the emotional trauma of having your eye-brows singed off), but the cost of all the things Beezlebum had wrecked (alchemical supplies and equipment is quite expensive) drove his parents into kicking Bezzlebum out of their noble house (which with it?s cracked windows, holes in the roof, smoke-damaged walls, and charred wood floors was quite noble indeed). Bezzlebum has spent the last few decades of his life exploring the country sides of his small world, and trying to perfect a formula for a Potion of Forgiveness (or a Potion of Never-Blow-Up-Your-House-Again, which ever came first).
Skill: With time and the proper tools (please stand clear while I mix these highly-combustible isotopes into a sure-fire powder-keg of immense proportions), potions of all sorts can come out. Beezlebum specializes in things that go BOOM of course.

Extras:
Weapon of Choice: Potions, if possible, then when those run out a short sword, then when that breaks flight.
Weapon on Hand: Short sword covered with alchemical fire (makes small booms on impact)

Rothafor.

A city overflowing with abandoned gadgets, low-class population, dismantled experiments of all shapes and color. The rotten smell of sewage was prevalent, no matter where you stood in the city; Low Town or High Territory, the pungent stench took no mercy over wealth. Perhaps it was the ways of the people; their way of always looking towards to the next sunrise, causing them to never examine their present. Problems of the current time were never solved or faced in this city. And yet, the poplulation was booming. Nowhere could peace be found from the screaming children, the hassled adults. Everyone took up every last square foot of available living space. It was madness at its quintessence. Every building carried the dust and grime of a thousand years of pain. The thousand years of repreive seemed to do them no good, no good at all. They were gray with age and fatigue, yet they stood tall for the horizon bound people. These constructions, they would see it through to the bitter, bitter end. And these times did look a mite bit bitter. Edged along the cliffs that dropped down into the bottomless, azure sea, a white, perfect standing castle rose up out of the ground like a mountain over a flat plain. It, being so bleached by paint and marble, stung the eyes of the Common folk. Large turrents guarded it with ever watchful eyes, the well trained milita up top, watching the eyes of the watchers. Not a day passed where this grand castle was not being worked on or rennovated. Slaves of the north always polished the sun baked walls, slaves of the south tended to the vast gardens of an artists' palette. Slaves hailing from the east took up work in the most dangerous areas and the slaves of the west, where the sun set every evening, worked endlessly inside. Or, at least the rumor goes...

The messenger ran down the grand hallway past the colorful tapastries and excellent paintings of ancient Kings with his heels clicking and thundering about like a stampede of horses.
He, with his brightly colored clothing of flashy reds and regal purples, burst into the golden throne room with a loud, frightened,
"Your Majesty requested my presence!" He threw himself to the ground in a humble, and well overdone, bow. The King, who was ironically quite underdressed in comparision to the messenger, rose and sighed a deep, worried breath of cold air. His intake of breath caused his brown shirt clad shoulders, broad and true, to rise and fall in a slightly dramatic fashion. The King of Genubi fumbled with his large, ornate crown of intertwined gold and silver threads lined with jewels from across the country.
"Rise, please. We haven't the time for such acts." he replied. The messenger quickly stood, his face red in a fluster of embaressment and fear.
"My Lord," the colorful man began, "the people demand action! They have sat at your doorstep for too long now. They want action, they demand a change in their favor. But, these two groups pose such a problem. My Lord, it is unright of our land to know such violence! What, oh my Lord and King, what are we to do?" The King stepped away from his towering throne to approach the messenger of the terrible news. He, the young King, knew this all too well; the people wanted to praise their Creators, the Seven Gods of Genubi and Arbil. They wanted to find the lost, forsaken temple devoted to their love. On the other hand, there were those that feared the Gods' wrath. They insisted that for the betterment of society, the temple should be kept in hiding, never to be found or tred upon by mortal feet. These two groups were at constant verbal war with each other, even through the peaceful efforts of the neutrals. So this had happened before, but never with such force...
"Send for the Seven Followers. We need to relay a message..." The eys of the depressingly bright man, which were glued fast to the floor, widened in disbelief. Against the code of his upbringing, he picked up his gaze and stared into the passive green eyes of the tired King.
"My Lord, I..." With a strong and meaningful glance from the Ruler, the messenger took off down the hallway once more, leaving the closing of the doors to two heavily armored guards. The King sighed with sadness as he sat on the hard, cold floor of glassy marble. He, the Leader of this brave, new world, didn't know what to do...

What seemed to be a decade later, seven simply clothed men marched into the throne room lead by the flustered messenger. Each Followers, as they were known, was dressed in the differing theme of color, though all the same baggy pants and ragged tunic styles. A bursting red, a gentle sapphire, an inquisitive green, a stoic gray, a foreboding purple, an innocent yellow and a wise, old white. Each stood facing the King, heads held high and proud, but none filled with a haughty nature.
"My leiges... The times to seal away the magic of your Guardians is upon us. I ask of you but a simple task, to create the crystal that you were trained to do as children. Invoke the powers of our Gods Above in them. Deliver them to the worthy, I beg of you... Time is short, haste must be made. Remain unnoticed in your travels. Do not let the chosen see you! Do not let them know that you were near... Please, this is I plead. Go with the Way, my friends." He bowed low with respect for the Seven Followers. Taken aback at the sincerity of their Leader, the Followers could do nothing but bow back in the same respectful manner. So, it has been set in motion...

A week they took to prepare. Each stone the same color as they, the Followers left the castle dressed as Commoners that had come with an idea for the King. Not one real Commoner took notice of their determined expressions or their outlandish glints in their eyes. To them, the people of the Kingdom, it was a normal day. For seven select people, it was far from just that...

((And thus ends the intro of the world. As you can see, let your character run into these stones. Then, they will know to come a certain place for a certain sort of briefing... I will tell! Jeez. Also, the color and meaning of the stone that you find does not have to reflect your personality or alignment. I would prefer it too be near opposite, but hey. It might not work out that way. For the record, it is Jeetoa. Seasons work the same as in the Northern Hemisphere as Earth... Summers are blazing hot, winters are grossly cold.))

Ray sat along the branches of an aged elm, watching the sunset for the two hundredth and third time. Still, it burned her sensitive, lavander eyes to gaze into the orb of fire for long. Still, she dared herself to watch it all the way through to see the beautiful colors that never could be described in the words of Under Commen. It was like an unsettled artist, always changing the colors of his picture, always searching for the perfect set of hues. But it always looked perfect in the eyes of Ray, the exiled vagrant of a Drow. As the sun sank lower and lower, the largest part of its shining circle crossed the horizon, sending out a final flash of bliding light, even to those of the sky-watching land. The sting of yellow was enough to temporarily blind Ray and cause her to cring in horrid pain. She still did not understand her secret motives for watching this phenomenon. Her own thoughts sometimes eluded her. High up in the leaves of the swaying tree, Ray awaiting the come of nightfall, the only time in which she could properly live a life. Her eyes still tingling slightly, she leapt from the brown branches to the mossy forest floor. She picked up her traveling pack and headed down a near invisible path of a recent deer. Perhaps these tracks could lead her to waters.

It was, in fact, a truly stupid thing to be doing. Here she was, an exiled Drow, wanted by her entire race for an unheard of bounty. And she dared to tread these lands of the Shudan Forest. Why, her previous home of the Underdark was right below her confident feet! Anywhere, there could have been a watching enemy. Yet, she wanted to come here. Nostalgia, perhaps. Or the ectasty of impending peril that could be awaiting her at every turn. What did she know of her own mind? It had worn away over the years, becoming more and more reflexive and spontaneous. Such traits must come to those living in a numb solitude for long periods of time. A rustle in a nearby bush alerted her finely tuned, and yet so lost, mind. Ray leapt into cover behind a large boulder and from the boulder, she sneakily dived into some thick bush with almost no noise. What came now? Which way did the wind flow? Was she prepared for battle? What of her back? Questions and reflexive worries crossed her mind in instants as she drew forth her silver dagger, a meager weapon. Good, she remained downwind. At least her scent could not be so easily noticed. Intently, her eyes examined to bush and the tracks before it. What was it? Her tension ran high, for the knowledge that it could be Drow was high in her minds' eye. But, thankfully, it was nothing but a lone fox and, by the looks of him, it wished no combat from any living creature. Ray let it pass down a different path and she resumed her tracking of this deer.

Presently, her efforts lead her to a cool, forest stream of pure water. It was a sweet relief through the slight heat of the ever active woods. Crotched low but still listening to each sound of the forest, she drank deeply and filled her water pouch for anouther time. But, what on Arbil was this? A gem, about the size of her tiny fist, sat at the bottom of the racing river bed. Ray plucked it from the water, surprised by its weight. It was rather heavy for such a small, pretty thing, a deep sapphire in hue. It spoke! In her head, she heard frail words, tinkling like breaking ice.
"An adventure awaits. A world so unlike yours needs a hero. The Gods call upon you, call you to Stics... Stics, be wary of what is there..."
The voice wavered and cracked violently, sounding of a storm of sleet hitting a devious wall. What was this madness? Ray dropped in stone in fright and retreated hastily to a large oak. Black magic, perhaps? What wizard lay near? But the stone, the beautiful, truthful jewel, tossed itself at its rightful owner. It landed squarely against her chest and with a pitiful cry, or rather demand, for help, Ray scooped it up. She pocketed it and bolted through the forest with a realization that this may be worthy of her attention.

Tucked neatly away in a tree, a man in blue watched the drow head off towards excitment. How he hoped he had chosen true...

((Good grief!))

Tkwiget's post:

Giis was a rather interesting town. It flowed the rich experiences of a traveler such as Leon and kept his mind on edge. Sure enough from moving through crowds of people in the market place to a battered up building, a wooden plank sign hanging from rusty iron hinges read, "Shop & Inn" which perked interest to explore the interior. Leon's fanciful clothing and body tattoos stirred a couple looks from the counter when he entered. Slapping the feet against the wooden floor, a stood was claimed at the bar counter and rested his forearms on the top of the counter. A door openned across the musty room with a couple sweety men walking out of it with a man holding his left ribs and blood was drizzling down his face. Perhaps it was best to keep his thoughts to himself and stay out of trouble. The last man that came out of the door closed it and looked coldly at Leon, who was starring at those that came out of it. That man approached the bar and sat next to Leon.

"I'd like two glasses of cold water." And with a hand gesture towards the him and Leon, he motioned the order in and received them. The man slid one of the glasses over to leon. "Looking for a way to earn some easy money? You look like you know how to hold your own in a fight. Come back here in a couple days during the night. I'll fix you up with some easy money." Those words the man took the glass and walked away to the location of his friends that came out of the door. It was a rather odd encounter. He mentioned easy money and Leon needed easy money. Perhaps it was worth looking into later. Gripping the glass with his right hand and rising it to his mouth and drinking it slowly. It had a refreshing taste to it that cooled his body down from the atmosphere of the building. Finishing off the drink, he moved from his stood back out on the street to the market place.

Stopping off at an announcement booth, a couple gold coins were dropped on the counter top and a series of sheets of paper were handed to him. It was written in Common, which was good because then he could read it, and he looked at the first article which mentioned something about the Stics and a couple murders. He felt it was something he would like to investigate. People seemed to be needing help there and he was willing to travel to the location and find out if his assistance was required. The papers were folded and inserted into his clothing interior where his position moved to the southern part of the city as the information he gathered from the activity amoung the citizens told him that this wasn't the kind of place he needed to be at this point. Odd thing about the city was that it seemed to be alive all the time during the day and night.

His new destintation would be Stics and he knew it was some where in the South. Perhaps he'll find it with little trouble, hopefully.

My post:

The hour of the night was too far gone to undertake such a task as walking all the way to Stics. On such low supplies, the jouney would be hindered greatly. She was already in the northern part of the Shudan Forest, the closest town to her extened knowledge was Talon. But, Talon was not a very welcoming city to her kind and, namely, herself. She had a bit of a history with a certain family in that certain town... Though all was accidently, humanity had a speacial way of distorting the facts to get the wanted results. She slowed her hurried pace to a wandering walk and took in her surroundings. The moon sat high in the sky now, the crickets were singing softly in the underbushes. As she tread, the crickets stopped ever so quickly but started all the same a few seconds later. Rythym of the forest...

After a time, she hopelessly realized that her feet were headed, in fact, southward. Now, it would be foolish to risk going back the way she came to get to Talon. Stics was inevitable sometime in the near dawn. Once more, her pace quicked to the silent run of an assassin. Along the horizon, a small, nearly leveled city came into view. It was a tired old place, stuffed with abandoned buildings and leveled huts. Rusted and ancient treasures lay everwhere, the trash sculpters dream home but no one ever bother too collect such odds and ends. Afterall, the only left inhabitants of the town were vampyres of the worst and brutal kind. Altough, she had an advantage, being a Drow and all. Their legacy was, after all, doubly worse than that of the vampyres. All she had to do was pretend to be a real bad egg. With the sun slowly rising though, it would prove to be interesting. Both races had the same weakness...

Tkwiget's post:

Night crept upon Leon quickly as the bare-footed man ventured into Shudan Forest. There seemed to be a watchful eye over him or so it was his perception and training that made him alert in such a dark and strange place. The shadows seemed to be alive and consumed his path back to Giis while he proceeded to his destintation. Stopping aburptly and looking behind him down the path quickly, the shadows dispersed and appeared into a body form as he turned to look in front of him. A figure appeared in black full plated armor and filled out as a solid structure of flesh. It alerted Leon greatly as his bare right foot stepped back slightly. "Who are you?" Leon questioned the motives of the black knight as it drew its sword and started approaching Leon with a couple slashes of the sword at his direction.

With graceful and careful movements, the agility performed moved Leon's body into the air where it circles in a ball-like shape and uncurling with the feet landing on the ground and back facing the armored attacker. Leon wasn't in much of a position to fight someone in full plate armor. He would injure himself more than cause injury to whom he's fighting. Swiftly a pain was thrown through his body. The armored attacker surprisingly did a round kick against the left side of Leon's head. The power of the connected attack sent Leon from his mid-stand position to crashing and bouncing off a tree to hit the ground hard.

Leon's arms quickly gripped the ground and pushed him off the ground, which rised his legs straight up in the air, as the black edge of the sword crushed into the earthy soil. Leon placed his hands together with the right palm above the other and concentrated quickly. A bright flash of light formed, which pulsates with the strength of spiritual energy. The arms thrust out at the armored being, which sends the energy to burst forth from the palms. An explosion echoes through the forest violately from the connection of the attack. The armored figure flies backwards with the feet scrapping against the hard dirt path while Leon is breathing heavily and had signs of fatigue rolling down his cheeks from the attack. Smoke was the only thing he could be noticed that bellowed from the body of the armored being, who seemed to not be phased in the least bit from the attack.

Leon clentched his fists and teeth, but then pulled out a sutra charm and muttering a few selective words, which followed up with him throwing the piece of paper at the being and it flies directly to the chest of the armored being. Electrical energy bursts out violately with a vortex-like shield covering the being while bolts of lightning shower around it mercilessly within the vortex-like shield. After some time passes, the being falls to the ground slain and Leon continues down the path with a hand pressed against the side of his head where he had began to bleed.

Not a very promising start to his journey to Stics. At least he ventured at least half the distance through Shudan Forest.

((Poor Leon, he's cursed with the worst luck. Lol. But hey now, that's what makes things interesting for those around him. XD

Btw, since I'm Luna's slave in just about every way. She wanted me to inform you that she wants you to post in the Atlas RP.

My post:

It was close to the crest of dawn when she entered the vicinity of the ruined town. At once, her insitincts as a hunter took hold and she felt a thousand pairs of eyes watching her. By the scent of subtle death alone, she could feel where her adversies lay. By the electircity of their grins, she could see them in the few shadows and could recongize their clan. The Clan Moon-Lock. The very worst of the three vampyre clans, known to the humans as the Demons simply. From her concealed sheath, she pulled out her trusted dagger. Though small and useless in the eyes of the blood thristy vampyres, it held the powers of strange magics that cloud repel the night prowlers rather effectively.

Through the darkness of an intact hut, a figure robed in the colors of the night appeared. It was not a slow appearence, not a careful walk out of the mist. It was a sudden apparition from the night into the slow sunlight of the day. The mark of the head Clansman. Its head remained lowered and its shoulders hunched and weakened, but it was easily several heads taller than the Drow woman. She peered up to his twisted face. The flesh was contorted and constantly dying. The gray bloodied skin wrinkled up in a sadistic grin as a gloved hand extended from the robes.
"Rayz-ann! How so lovely to see your delicate face in these parts once more. How my people, how I, have missed you so. What brings you to this perfectcorner of the world? Have you brought friends this time?"
She only smirked in response.
"I require a place to rest and that you stay several feet back." she whispered, her voice dripping in the customary malice of her race. The figure bowed. He had no choice but to obey in the instance of his Drow character. She was led to a darkened hut farther down the dusty road just as the sun hit the horizon. In that second, the undead of the Moon-Lock Clan disappeared to whatever place they resided during the daytime hours. She entered the hut and sat in the center of it black living quarters.

The blue gem in her pocketed glowed through the cloth. She watched it in placid contemplation. What did this mean, of all things...

((Hooray post-age!))
