This was about the 2nd series i began collecting back when i first became interested in anime.
it still holds a special place in my heart.
i personally prefer the series to the movie but that's just me.
I dislike the ending though i'm told the dvd has an alternate ending don't know if it's true...i'll check it out...eventually

I saw the series back when it was on Fox Kids (yes it used to be on there) way back in 1998/99. It looked really cool to me (I was still in Elementary so of course giant robots with Dragon's hearts looked awesome), but unfortunately I just couldn't comprehend the storyline at such a young age. But yeah. Cool beans to you for actually seeing the entire thing.

Yeah. They showed like 2 episodes on Fox Kids then they took it off suddenly (I wonder why). But yeah. Dragon hearts and stuff still seemed like a cool idea in my book.
Is there a drastic difference between the manga and the anime? Which do you recommend?

they are really, really different!
i prefer the anime but the manga is pretty good
and from what i've heard most people dislike the movie (which i personally thought was cool)

Ah I see. What was the storyline again? I can't seem to remember all that well. Something about a prince and a girl from earth and some freaky girl with funky ears (I think cat but I'm not really sure anymore) and something about dragon hearts feuling machines.
