I'm curious because, after loving SoT, I bought 2, promptly used it as coaster after a couple hours, and never bought any after that one. It didn't match up to the cute prince strip-tease of the first game. I is a perv. It didn't have the same feel as the older one, making it, in my opinion, a less than welcome surprise.
I'm wondering, because some fans felt the same way. Many missed the less dark prince and the more fantasy-style environments. Overall they missed the fairytale feel of Sands.
So, did the latter installments of the console PoPs just not stand up to the standards of the first one?

No way WW and TT are much better in my opinion. I rekon the prince looks so much cooler in the last two than the first one....but that is just my opinion

I have SoT and WW, but don't own TT, so I can't say anything about the latest one. But out of the other 2 I like WW the best smile

The Prince's name is Prince? sweatdrop That's what people call him by anyways.
I played a little of Warrior Within first because I borrowed it from a guy in my drawing class. It was pretty cool, although, like Penny Arcade said, the Prince really is all angry for no reason at all. confused That and the girl with the thong could use a little more clothing. And there are tons of crappy one-liners, especially from those girl acrobats who say weird stuff like "There's soooo much pleasure in pain." xp
I bought the Sands of Time and I've been playing that one now. I like it so much because it has some humor in it, and the Prince isn't needlessly angry. I also liked how even though it was the Prince who ransacked her home and all, Farah still follows the Prince and helps him out and all. smile Plus, and this took some getting used to after playing the second game first, I liked that you had to stab the enemy with the dagger to kill them. It makes for interesting fights. You slice and slice, the enemy falls, you fight back a couple more, flip to the fallen one and absorb the sand, hit another one, real cool stuff. biggrin

The Two Thrones is awesome. I recently beat it on the PS2 and it's a lot of fun. It's got about four boss characters, which I love (the main villain in particular looks awesome) and the environments are more varied and interesting.
I played Warrior Within on the PSP a few months ago and it kind of bothered me how everything looked basically the same, kind of drab and stuff.

I own all three...As for my favorite, I'd say The Two Thrones, because the inclusion of (spoiler) the Dark Prince added a nice touch to it- that and (spoiler) Farah's return- yayness! The stories for the first and third rocked, though I found the second an iddle bit lakcing- although the Dahaka did make up for it with his evil-awesomeness. My fave character is Farah (she's a girl, a princess, and she shoots guys off roofs and stuff with arrows smile ).

I've only played SoT and WW-- I like the more varied fighting style of WW, but the music was far too repetitive and didn't seem to suit the game as much as the music for SoT did. The first few times the rock was awesome and added to the combat...then halfway through the beginning ship, it turned annoying.
I rented WW so unfortunately I didn't get very far before it had to be returned--but it seemed needlessly dark, and lacked any of the endearing humor of the original. I did like that the Prince was telling the story, although it lacked the sort of...dreaminess of the first.
I'm a fan of the series in general, and intend on getting my hands on WW again to complete it, as well as TT to compare, but so far I think I like SoT the best.
