Background: Laniger was once a Sun Court fey, and a master hunter who tracked down enemies of his court for his King and Queen. He developed over the ages into an assassin, putting the safety of Tir Nan Og first, followed by the safety of the Sun Court. He would be sent to quietly eliminate threats to the wellbeing of fey-kind with his unparalleled huntil skills. Through the thousands of years of his life, he had one enemy he devoted much time to trying to catch and kill, the Moon Court Oracle, Spina, whose pursuit of lost magics to cheat death and re-enter the world in a time she would be unknown and very powerful made her a serious threat to future generations. His pursuit of her even cost him his right eye, forcing him to adapt and use magics to aid in his depth perception when wielding his primary weapon, the bow. When Spina vanished, he had the Death Sleep spell cast upon him by a strong mage, with a condition that he would wake when the Oracle stepped once more into the realm of the Sun Court. With Spina's appearance at the Masquerade Ball, it was time for Lan to re-awaken. Tara Jenkins was able to revive him from the spell.
Personality: Laniger is a crotchety older fey, by fey standards. He is gruff, quiet, and sarcastic, moody at times and can be viewed as aloof or even cold. His role in fey society required that he be detached from emotion. He distrusts humans, as many a time he had to protect his people from their predations. The fact that his only breathing bloodline member appears to be human is distressing to him.
