A couple of minutes ago, my brother discovered that the used Sims game we just bought for the GBA took a trip through the washer AND dryer. The process didn't even erase the data. If anything, the game works better now. Has anybody else's game products survived horrible accidents and return in good condition?

Hm... I don't know what you mean by durable... do you mean having my original GB left out in the snow for two weeks, then dropping it several times on hardwood floor, dropping it in the fire for three seconds, and finally, leaving it in a dusty box, only to have it working perfect?

I think the only thing that can defeat a Nintendo product is really really bad battery acid...or...a hammer set out for vengence 3nodding

I had a GBA game go through the wash twice, then get lost in a dusty section of my room for nearly a year, and it still works just as it did then. For some reason, my friend let someone borrow his GBA and when he got it back it was busted, and only internally. Also, one game that is not very durable is Sonic Advance, because for some reason every copy I tried (3 of them) had the Chao garden stop collecting rings after a while, when my friend kept going for a lot longer than those games lasted (he was also obsessed with the care of it).

That seems to be the only exception. I let my friend borrow my GBA for about a day and he brings it back filthy with the sound making funny noises when certain notes are hit. Luckily, I was to get my DS in a couple of weeks.

Can't say I have. Of course, other than dropping my GBA on both tarmac and a cement pavement a few times, they still work perfectly.

I once had an old GameBoy game (Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening ((original, not DX)) if you must know) go through the wash, and it worked, occasionally. The game's data was still there, but the game needed to be blown into a few times to get it working, although I think that was the case for most GB games back then.

Oh, and the game-title-sticker was no-longer on there, either.

Most of the time, unless you are really careless or trying to do it harm, nintendo products never get broken. I heard about this one guy who had his GC fall out the back of his pick-up truck. He had to go back and get it. It still worked afterwords. (this is one of those conrete, dusty, backroads)

its funny to hear all this and then remember how you had to handle an X-box carefully when it first came out because some people could put it down a little too hard (meaning not softly) and the cords would rearrange, messing up the entire system.

++One time, around 4-5 years ago...I was on the balcony playing on my game boy and had left it on the railing (the railing is about 6 inches wide so I figured it was safe) Well...My cat decided to play with it while I was gone and knocked it off the ledge. Fell from the second floor and still worked with barely a scratch on it...I was like eek ++

I can't even begin to remember all the times I dropped my GBC/GBA. My GBC barely has a scratch on it.

The hammer theory was tested on Tech TV. They smashed up PS2, X-Box, and Gamecube with a sledgehammer.
Care to guess which one worked by the end? Heres a hint. It's small, cube-shaped and.... Oh ******** it, Nintendo kicked a**, with half the lid jammed up.

I've dropped my GBA millions of times when I attempted to put it on my bed or something, with a sorta Jackie Chan martial arts style xd

I've yet to have a Nintendo product break on me.
Except when I was a small child and accidently broke the LCD screen on my first gameboy. I cried for a few days after that.
