[As I mentioned in the OOC thread, my little character is not often in the lounge dispite how often I'm here, so I thought I'd give her a little travel log. Feel free to wander across her if you like, but other than that it this shall simply be a place for me to write.]
Sprawled out on the ground not far from the edge of the floating island that is central to The Wanderer's domain, Manikarnik propped her chin on one hand, looking blankly out over the edge. She mutters a phrase softly in some long dead language before sighing deeply and dropping her head to the dirt. Both of her black-gloved hands move sluggishly to the back of head, clasping together though wild and tangled brown hair. She breathes slowly and deeply like one asleep, but she is rather desperately awake. Sore, bleary eyes stare at the dirt mere inches before them, tracing meaningless patterns of particles simply for something to amuse.

[500 th post on Gaia. whee ]
Manikarnik has hardly moved from where she lay the day before, stretched on her back a few feet to one side and slightly closer to the edge. Her gloves, for once, are not on her hands - one is hanging from the brim of her upturned top hat to her left, as if thrown there. A second glove can be found crumpled in the dirt at the base of the hat. Mouth opened in a small slackened 'o', emits shallower breathing then previously, her brown eyes shut to the world. Her hands are the only indication she is awake, lying on her stomach and toying idly with the end of her braid.

Greven pauses to watch Manikarnik curiously, quietly. He quickly looks around, in search of other onlookers, then takes a seat on a nearby rock to continue watching. Waiting.

Manikarnik, currently unaware that she has an audience, suddenly rolls over, dragging herself by her elbows in a rather effective but ungraceful manner to the edge of the island. Once there, she grips the edge with both hands and pulls herself up to look over the edge. Drawn by gravity, her braid slides over her shoulder, swinging slowly back and forth. It is quite a long way down.
Her shoulders slump, her head hanging down over the huge expanse of space. She mutters curses in several tounges and twists around to sit up. The way she moves, dragging and sluggish, suggests she is exhausted.

Moura can just see her though the trees; the tired brown haired woman. Moving like a shadow amid the trees in her wolf form, she ghosts closer, swiftly becoming aware of another being nearby. Though she is still some distance away, she slows to continue moving in more carefully. She stops just before the edge of the trees, nodding her majestic wolf's head politely to the male should he notice her. Clearly the braided femme is in no condition to notice anything, having not even noticed him yet.

Being slightly impatient, Greven is glad the being he has been watching moves, however slowly. He stalks to where she once was, taking care not to be noticed by her while he observes the ground where she recently lay. He pokes at it, and sniffs it before moving on. He noticed almost nothing unordinary from the scent, but there was something. He quietly follows after the being, flitting from tree to tree, hoping not to lose sight of her, when he finds her laying at the edge of the island. After watching for some time again, he notices slight movement to his side, and curses his own stupidity. Nodding approvingly to the female wolf near him, he takes up a cautious stance in a hidden area, watching the two. And waiting...

Manikarnik flops back onto the ground, staring up at the sky once more. "Blood and bloody ashes," she growls audibly, though it takes some effort to make it so. Chewing the inside of her lip, she raises one hand and runs it though her hair.
She is still completely oblivious of the eyes upon her.
((Yeah, it was short. Not feeling too creative at the moment, actually. Sorreh. sweatdrop ))

[No worries.]
Seeing the cautious stance taken up by the male, she moves away from him, not looking for a fight at the moment. Instead, Moura changes, a cloud of black bubbling out around her form. In moments, it dissolves away to leave a lithe woman in obsidian and crimson, armed with a sword at her hip. She glides over to the brown haired girl, stopping a few paces away and dropping to a poised crouch as she speaks in a pleasant voice, but not one to be ignored.
"What are you doing out here?"

Upon being hearing the voice that commands her attention, Manikarnik scrambles to her feet... or tries to, anyways. She makes it halfway to sitting position before falling back to the ground. She can barely see Moura out of the corner of her eye, but strains to look in her direction anyways. Her eyes are dead tired and a little frightened, though of what is anyone's guess. Dry lips part slighty to emit words in a dry whisper. "You... should probably go away."

Moura raises both eyebrows in surprise over steeped her fingers, elbows resting lightly on her thighs. This girl, who can hardly move under her own power, is threatening her? She shakes her head slightly, an amused smile curling across her lips, making small pearly fangs more prominent.
"Oh? Why do you say that? You look a little ill to me. Are you ill? Do you need assistance?"
[I forgot to mention this before now - Have you ever read the Wheel of Time?]

Manikarnik closes her eyes, her face a picture of extreme patience and self-restraint. Despite her apparent exhaustion, her hands twitch violently at her sides, fingernails torn through grassy turf and into the dirt. She takes a few slow and rather unsteady breaths before she responds. "I'm not sick. Please - just go."
((Yep. I'm assuming you picked up on the random WoT-related cursing? xd ))

Greven watches the current interaction between the two beings, interested. He edges closer and closer, trying to be stealthy whilst they are intent on eachother. Finally close enough to be at either of them in the space of a few heartbeats, he crouches in waiting. Listening, he hears everything that is said between the two.
(I'm currently reading the wheel of time series, im only about halfway through, but i love it so far.)
