As long as my character has her arm or leg casted - leg preferably for IRL, but having the arm broken for this fanfic would be a lil more problem inducing, etc :3

It's an sci-fi AU, just so you know. And Ryou looks like he usually does, while Bakura looks like his AE self. And bear in mind; beginning so of course it's confusing! xp

From the Voices in Your Head, With Love

Bakura groaned and slowly opened his eyes, meeting with slate gray sky and towering skyscrapers. The air was thick with the usual pollution and the young man grimaced as he got up in a sitting posistion, rubbing an aching temple.

There was a whisper of some sort on the edges of his conscious, and not the usual orders or suggestions from Zork Necrophadisu as relayed by the Info-chip in his head.

No, these whispers were new, unknown, and Bakura felt something scuttle along his spine, chilling him to the bone. Something had happened.

And what it was wasn't so hard to figure out as he knew he should be in detention in one of the Government's Cell Blocks For Uncurable Youths. He had gotten caught after all. Violet eyes narrowed as a snatch of a conversation was remebered... something about testing a new rehabilitaion method on him.

Sneering he shook his head and jumped to his feet. However he got out didn't matter, he was out and that was what was important. Now, to get some food. Hmm... he could always stake out one of the foodsuffs merchants, it was easy enough. And if the man protested, well though luck, he'd be dead before he was too much trouble for Bakura.

*No, you musn't do that. Killing and violence is bad and you really don't need to do it like that. You shouldn't even steal, really, but I've noticed you don't have any other choice really*

Bakura whipped around growling. No one else in the alley.

As he knew there would be. The young-ish, sweet tenor voice had been in his head after all, not coming from his surroundings.

"Who the ******** are you?!" Bakura growled and glared at the nondescript wall opposite of him since he had nowhere else to focus his glare.

*I'll project an image for you* Came the soft answer and with a flicker, the air in front of the white haired and dark skinned young man flickered once before it seemed to solidify into an image.

The young boy that appeard in front of the dark skinned theif was vaguely reminicent of Bakura himself; long, fluffy white hair spilled down the slender shoulders and soft brown eyes looked up at him, lips curled in a gentle smile.

Violet eyes widened, slightly disorting the scar on his right cheek as Bakura took an unconscious step backwards. Hand jerking up to touch his own shorter and wilder mop of white hair he glared down at the boy before him, teeth displayed in more of a viscious snarl than a smile.

"Who the ********!? What are you doing in my head!"

"I am Ryou. A newly established method for rehabilitating youths with a criminal record and where no usual method of rehabilitation has succeeded. Pleased to make your aquintance."

Bakura... stared.
