((I was reading the first page and saw this favour so decided to start it, anyone is welcome to join in! +There has been some wonder in the caravan. Strange things have been happening to the children- Banyas predict things- and there seem to be long-standing mystical plots that involve the children and their futures. Parents get together around the fire one night to discuss/wonder about this. (I really want to see this rp happen. So anyone who really participates gets 80 couplets.))
Heather was out wandering. She hadn't heard much from her banya bird since it gave out its first prophecy but it still worried her. She didn't know if it had came true or not.
She was holding Amkia close in her arms, cooing to him and kissing his head. She had never left him alone since that bird said those words. She worried daily and nightly but had never said anything to anyone else.
She sat down near a fire that seemed to be dieing. The sun was setting and the sky was beautiful shades of purple and pink. The beauty of the sky didn't cease her worrying though.

Caroline, too, had the Banya's prophecy niggling at the back of her mind. What in blue blazes did the blasted thing mean? Why on earth is the Meij so cryptic with my future and that of my daughter? She wonders, plopping down on a log near the fire.

((I haven't had a Banya reading, but I think I'd like to join in, just to hear what's going on around the caravan...Plus, Kalpana wants to meet people! xd ))
Irina carried a sleepy badger in her arms, and walked toward the firepit to warm herself. As the night came on, it got cooler, and she'd been feeling a bit chilled. It was no time to get a cold, she thought. She'd need good health while travelling.
Kalpana had had a busy day exploring the caravan, Irina following closely behind her to make sure that she didn't get into any trouble. She had been quite fond of the wooded area beside the road, and had taken plenty of time to explore, as happy as a clam. She was a hearty young creature, with a lot of energy. Irina was used to working hard, but this little one kept her going!
By the time they'd arrived at the firepit, the fire seemed to be dimming, but there were others sitting around. Irina recognized Caroline, and she waved to the woman, going over to sit closer on a rock close to her. Another young girl was also sitting there, looking at the sunset.
"Good evening ladies," she greeted them. Kalpana looked up as she heard Irina's voice, slightly interested to see what was going on, despite her sleepiness.

Caroline nods politely to the newcomer. "Och, have a seat, Irina. I'm just mullin' over all this Meij confusion. It tends to be verra cryptic with my poor bairn." Her accent comes through thicker in her state of tiredness and confusion.

Heather suddenly snapped out her thinking and back to reality. "Oh, you are having problems with the Banya brids too?" As she spoke she held Amkia closer to her, and he seemed to glow more in happiness. There was never a need for a fire with Amkia around.
Heather then turned to the new girl and smiled, "Your fortunette is a badger? Beautiful. Amkia was a canarybefore he became my angel!" She smiled and kissed Amkia's head. Worry was in her still but she could try to hide it though she wanted to cry over it. The words of the bird she could have sworn weren't good.

Lorelei joined the group shortly, freshly rested. Her wagon was mostly back in order, and Vanna had wanted to go out and see the world with her new (three) eyes. Now that she wasn't cloes to collapsing from exhaustion, Lorelei liked the sound of that idea much better.
Mm, we seem to have a flurry of activity lately... she thought to herself, coming up to the dying fire and taking a seat, quietly, beside Caroline. Vanna waved, giggling, and Lor turned her attention to the conversation at hand.
"Aleysius - my Banya - hasn't said anything that I can remember," she offered. "Though he may have given me a prophecy while I was sleeping. I remember a voice.... ah, well. Whatever that was about, I think it's over now.
"But you all are worried over the Meij?"

"Aye, we seem to be," answers Caroline. "Taog, my wee birdie, said something about...Smortze? Sportze? Sommat like that."

"Meji confusion?" Irina asked Caroline, curious. "What seems to be the problem?" The woman looked slightly upset, and she could only imagine what could be wrong. The meji was a strange thing after all...
Before she could get a reply from Caroline, Irina heard the young girl holding the golden baby speak. She turned and smiled at her, holding Kalpana tightly so that her curiosity wouldn't get the best of her. "Yes, she is a badger, and she's lovely," she said, holding her up a bit. "This is Kalpana. Kal, meet Amika," she said, introducing the badger to the golden child.
Irina saw yet another woman come toward the fire--this time, she knew her. She was the woman whose child had grown at the wagon ordering ceremony. The beautiful purple child with the third eye. She finally remembered their names after some searching--Lorelei and Vanna. Kalpana looked over to the newcomer, taking in the sight of the new colorful baby.

Heather let Amkia down to go and play with the others. She could watch him and even though both the badger and the other child were female she was sure it was her in the propecy and not anyone else.
"My bird... he doesn't like the caravan so I hoped he got it wrong but I heard Banya birds are more accurate when uncomfortable.." She paused and went over the little rhyme in her head. Can I ask your help, get ideas to what the prediction could mean if I told you?" She watched Amkia crawling around, occassionally he would just sit up and clap happily. He had learnt a few words but not many so he rarely spoke, just shone brightly.

"Of course," Lorelei said, smiling as comfortingly as she could. "We'd love to try and help."
Vanna squirmed on Lorelei's lap, wanting to go meet the other bird-boy. Lorelei put her down, but kept a close eye on her - the girl didn't know much about crawling, even. Luckily, she'd dressed Vanna in a more rough-and-tumble ready outfit, though, so laundry wasn't much of a concern.
Vanna crawled awkwardly all the way to Amkia, where she giggled and flopped back into a sitting position. She waved happily. New friends!

Heather smiled, "Thank you." She then looked at Amkia and Vanna and chuckled a little. "My bird said, What a Girl... Yet what a Girl.... Little bird is torn. It has scared me half to death, I don't know what it means." She looked down at Amkia who had crawled over to Vanna. She loved her son.
Amkia was happy. He was glowing rather brightly and making strange gurling happy noises. He tried to touch the girl by leaning towards her but fell on his face, though he got up giggling.

Caroline thinks of Rojiza, safe back in Mountain Air with Majesty the purple deer and Taog, that blasted cryptic bird. She ponders Heather's Banya prediction, scrunching her lips to one side of her face. "It's verra refreshing to worry over someone else's future for a change," she says with a wry smile. "Perhaps it means that wee Amkia will find himself torn between two bonnie lasses, far into the future." She shrugs. "My Banya, on the other hand, said that the Sportze, whatever the devil that is, will bring her (who I can only assume is wee Ro) to happiness."

"Sportze? Never heard of it. And I think I agree about Amkia's impending love drama," she said, giggling. "I mean, just look at thoes two... ah... Heather? Is that right?" Living in the caravan didn't mean she was intimately acquainted with everybody. Lorelei held out her hand. "I'm Lorelei."
Vanna, after making sure Amkia sat up all right, patted him on his curly head. Then she poked at his wings, giggling and twitching her own back feathers. She missed her own wings, and he had such pretty golden ones!
Lorelei sat back, trying to wrack her brain. "I'm not... sure... if it was a dream or Aleysius speaking, but I remember something about.... dangerous obsession. Hopefully, I've resolved that - drama in the wagon over the past week, but if not..."

Irina listened closely to the women discuss the fortunes that the Banya birds had spouted to them. She had no idea the birds told such fortunes. Perhaps next time they met a trader, they would have some for sale. Irina was quite curious about them, and thought it might be good to have one around. The future was a serious thing, she knew, and she wanted to be prepared. Especially with such a strange child as Kalpana.
"Amika's love triangle does sound right," Irina said with a laugh. "At least that's what it seems..." she couldn't help but add to the conversation.
Sportze? She'd never heard of it before either, and had no insight into what it could mean.
Kal squirmed in her arms, obviously wanting to be let down to play. Though Irina was a bit hesistant--Kal had some very intimidating claws--she let the little badger down on the ground and she promptly ran over to the two children, wagging her tail with excitement.

Heather smiled suddenly, "I didn't think of that, I thought it might hurt him or something!" She was however alot happier with this idea then the ones she had been having. A love triangle she could deal with.
"Sportze? Something makes me think I recognize it, though I think my head is making things up. You could always ask Val, she seems to understand things and know things better!" She spoke calmly and hoped that her suggestion was a good one!
She then turned to Lorelei and smiled, "Yes I am Heather!" She chuckled and watched the little children and the badger, the badger seemed to interest her.
Amkia was happy he giggled and chuckled as he was poked and he carefully ran his hand over Vanna's forehead avoiding to stick his finger in her third eye! He stopped though when the badger ran over, he just started to laugh again.
