You consfue me. How on earth could you not like Who Wants to Live Forever? That song is so good, its brilliant, the lyrics, the change from high to low tone, the change in emotions, feelings of loss change to feelings of hope. I would like to know why you don't like this song.
And for other members, are there any Queen songs you don't like and why? I'll start. I don't like Radio Ga Ga, I find the chorus really annoying, its as bad as the small world chorus.

Hah, for a second there, when I just saw the title, I was like, "Hmm... 'shall I wield the ban-hammer? twisted " But now that I see what this is about, everything's cool. xd
Alright-- let two thing be known, Renegade_Master; The first is that I'm not really a ballad-person. The second is that I'm not particularly fond of Brian, who, correct me if I'm wrong, wrote this song and included his signature deppressing lyrics. And even if he didn't, I don't much care for his singing bits scattered within this particular track. whee
With that in mind, Who Wants to Live Forever just... fits perfectly into the equation. It's a ballad, and it has Brian's lackluster vocals spewed all over it.
On the flip side, I'll say that today I listed to Father to Son, a song I had listened to once and didn't like, but listening to it again-- LOVED IT. It's beautiful! I think it's one of my favorite Brian pieces, as it's so upbeat and tuneful. heart

I didn't like Bohemian Rhapsody when I first heard it; I thought it was too weird and too over-the-top.
I guess it's an aquired taste, because when I listened to it some more, I found that I loved it. But despite my love for Bo Rhap, I have to go with Popo on the stand that 'March of the Black Queen' is a lot better than Bo Rhap >w<

Memai Shirosaki ...I have to go with Popo on the stand that 'March of the Black Queen' is a lot better than Bo Rhap >w< It's just so unpredictable! I must have listed to that song a hundred times over, but I still hear new things, and I still interpret it in different ways. Something about it is just so... free. It's like Bo. Rhap. minus the hype and the hustle and bustle of being overplayed. whee

Pardon me Popo, I don't mean to be rude but Brian doesn't sing the song, he lends back up vocals but tis Freddie who sings Who Wants to Live Forever. May wrtoe it but he doesn't sing it. Brian wrote Save me but he doesn't sing it either. There are a lot of Queen songs that Brian wrote but Freddie sings. When it list May on the lyrics sheet under or above the song title , depending on the album, it doesn't mean May sings it. Most of the time it refers to the fact that he wrote it.
Popo Edit: *Butts in* He SO sings on it. xd

Hmm, I thought Brian sung some the first verses to Who Wants? whee Compared to Freddie, his voice is rather quiet and rounded >w<;;;;

It gets irritating when you ask someone if they're a Queen fan and thats the first song they mention. I don't think Bohemian Rhapsody is even the greatest song on A Night At The Opera. I personally prefer The Prophets Song and 39' over Bo Rhap. I'm also a huge fan of Death on Two Legs, I'm in Love with my Car and Love of My Life. Note to Popo: I personally like alot of Queens slower stuff. I like alot of the fast stuff though to. To me part of what makes Queen so great is that they can play faster, louder and heavier songs yet still kickass when they play slower more melodic tunes.

And having to perform Who Wants To Live Forever more than once, I must say.. I can't stand it. It's too slow and there's nothing for most of the members to do while it's going. And it just grates me in general.
Speaking of songs that grate.... I can't stand Bohemian Rhapsody. The song really irritates me, and when I play any CDs or records that it's on, I skip it. I really can't stand it.
Who Needs You is another one I don't like along with The Miracle, My Baby Does Me, and a few others I don't feel like mentioning.
In conclusion, Queen was not perfect... that had some really bad songs. xD

But please don't test it on me. rofl

No, he does. whee Sort of like on I Want It All, you've got Freddie groovin' with the song, but then Brian just sort of shows up. xp xd Anyways, as for Brian's lyrics in general, I find them... sort of whiny. Depressing, but not artfully so. This, in turn, often makes for an unpleasant listening experience.

How can you hate Who Needs You? gonk *Deaky fan* xd
Still, I've never been too fond of Flash. Half of the time, I'm hearing bits of the movie instead of the boys actually singing, and when they do, it's far too short for me to swoon on any of the vocals.
And I can't listen to Drowse without falling asleep. Not because I'm bored, rather, it's because the slow, drowsy tune actually puts me to sleep xd Maybe that's Roger's intention? To put the audience to sleep so that the boys can high-tail it and get away from the female fans? xd

And I've only liked that music to dance to. I'm very picky. And it makes me think of my ex. Another reason for me to dislike it.
Hm... you have a good point on Drowse. But did they ever play it live..? xD
And Memai, darling, the world knows you like Deaky. xd

What do I not like ? Well, the entire Hot Space album for starters. neutral Never really liked Ride The Wild Wind, either. And I'm not a fan of the studio version of A Kind Of Magic, but when performed live, it is fantastic.
