Dreslin vs. Ikibe

FIGHT!
PostPosted: Tue Jun 06, 2006 11:12 pm

Despite the security of the stadium, a honor guard accompanies the First Disciple.

Eight massive tears rip their way across the sky around the stadium, and from each descends a stately humanoid mecha. They are radiant beings whose divine presence can be felt by every being in the area. Their brilliant blue armor literally glows with power, underscored by the purest of white. Each carries a polearm across their chest that ends in a wicked looking curved blade with bladed hooked along the back edge. They descend from the sky on heavy boosters that fire with an odd blue energy that is completely unrecognizable by anyone or anything. Finishing their outer chasis is a long blue cape fringed in white that flutters idly in the backwash of the boosters. Their heads, decorated with wing guards swoops and dragon spines, scan the area with ice cold glares that take in every minute detail.

As they touch down lightly and the Coliseum becomes a reference, one can also see that each mech is easily the size of a ten story building.

As one, they turn and salute the northern enterance, clanging their armor fists to their chests and standing at attention.

By comparison, the man who enters the arena itself from yet another blue tear is rather unassuming. Seemingly unarmed, he wears a plain blue yukata belted with white cord and the ends of black slacks poke out from under the garmet as he walks. A pair of feline ears poke their way out from his mane of pale blue hair. He is bare-foot, but walks with the confidence of one who has gone long without footwear.

In fact, the man's entire being screams confidence. One look at his face dispells any notion that the massive mecha standing silent vigil above have misplaced their master. He is beautiful, with a sharp chin and well cut features. But the eyes tell all... And Ikibe's brilliant blue orbs seems to strip you down to you very soul. They are eyes that cast judgement.

And everyone they see has been found lacking.

Thus, the most unspectacular entrance was given. A man, in what looks to be a robe worn by a friar, walks down to the arena. His staff held parallel to the ground on the back of his neck. His arms resting on it. The way he carried it looked like he was in the stocks like in the old knighthood days.

With each step, not only would his upper chest bounce a bit but a different strange word would come out of his mouth to no one in particular. "Dooya. Dieya. Dooya. Dieya." Thus, the words kept being repeated even as he stopped many a feet away from his opponent. He didn't look impressed by the display given by the cateared fellow.

((Sorry for shitty entrance. They aren't exactly my cup of tea.))

Ikibe doesn't even blink as his opponent enters the ring. A small pistol drops out of his sleeve, whips up, and is fired once at the other man.

==================OOC NOTES!!!====================
Ikibetech Weapon #1: Nano-Pistol; Ikibe's standard weapon, a small snub nosed tech pistol. Not a simple weapon in the least, its frame contains nano-encoded blueprints for on the fly modifications to the gun as well as nano-condensed elements that can be used to modify ammunition. A weapon only useable through the use of Ikibe's Factory Aura, it comes standard with bio-degen ammunition.

Ikibetech Ammo #1: Bio-Degen; These jacketed bullets deliver a substance far more lethal than gun powder or simply metal. On contact they release a substance which is instantly mortiferous to biological matter.

((Translation, dodge or die if you're alive. =P))

So the shot was fired at the man's stomach. The force knocked him onto his back while holding onto his staff and while it could be clearly seen where the bullet hit. However, as if by a miracle, the man stands back up. It was as if nothing really hit him if you minus the factor of the wind being knocked outta him.

If one looked at the area fired at, one would see that the bullet didn't pierce through the robe. Nonetheless, the remains of the bullet were on the robe, however there wasn't any piercing. He brought the hood of the robe over his head and gave probably the most unexpected response. Crying without the tears while holding his staff in one hand perpendicular to the ground.

"WWWAAAAHHH"

((Post is in accordance to my understanding to you firing a normal pistol bullet enhanced with 'bacteria' in it. Robe is made partially made of kevlar.))

Ikibe nods thoughtfully to himself and pulls the gun back for a second. He considers it, a blue glow surrounding the weapon. If one's eyes are sharp, one can see the barrel altering slightly The glow abruptly winks out and he fires again, demostrating uncanny accuracy from a snap-shot.

==================OOC NOTES!!!====================

Ikibetech Ammo #2: Bio-Degen AP; The same bio-degen bullets fired in a specialized pilot killer type anti-mecha shell. These bullets will punch through most armor like paper. After impact they burst into shrapnel and tear apart the inside of the target. A shot to the cockpit of a mecha with these bullets will likely slay the pilot. Against smaller armored targets the term "overkill" comes to mind, turning what would be a clean kill in a gory mess.

He saw the man change the ammo and took note of the special changes, taking into account the new angle at which the man was aiming due to the reload. Just before and during the pulling of the trigger, the man steps to his side while maintaining eye contact with the man and his body. The bullet aims to the same spot as before and barely misses him. Dreslin is now perpendicular to the man, head turned to keep him in eye contact while his staff on opposing side. Thus, he stood waiting again. Cause can't do much else against a gunuser.

Normally, the bullet would have hit someone like him. Provided they weren't either a quick calculator math geek person ((I don't know what they are called)) or just a plainly insane man. Dreslin was a bit of both.

One of Ikibe's ears flicks and he lowers the gun to his side. Dreslin may be smart but... Ikibe was a genius of the likes the world had never seen, and he had his Faith to back it up.

He crosses the left arm in front of the pistol, using the angle and his slack sleeve to obscure it from Dreslin's view. The next bullets roar out, five in succession so rapid they sound like a single shot. Not only was Ikibe aiming at Dreslin, but also the four principle directions he could move to avoid the rounds. And because the gun and Ikibe's hand were out of sight and he was only using his wrist to aim, it would be impossible to predict their trajectories.

((I am taking that to mean you are firing center, up, down, left and right. No diagonals.))

The ear flicker could be seen as a bodily involuntary movement indication that he would have to change his method of attack. Such as a grunt done when something should have worked, but didn't. And sure enough when the gun was moved to the side, the man wouldn't shoot a normally. The sleeve moving in front of the gun would show that possibly a gun technique would be attempted. During the very last few movements of the sleeve and the very quickly passing wait period until the first shot, he quickly hopped a little to his opponent's right side to the side while switching side stances, but coming no more towards the opponent at the same time.

The shots rang out in which succession in that it sounded like one extended sounding shot. The center was shot at first which missed, then went upward for a miss, then Ikibe's left a bit for a miss, downward a bit from the first shot's origination for a miss, and the final shot being made toward's Dreslin.

The final shot missed by a littleas well to Dreslin's luck. For he ended up in between the firing paths between the centered shot and the shot aimed in toward Ikibe's right. The little changes in direction that his opponent made to fire in different directions from the center shot mattered dramatically.

If dreslin was a lot closer to Ikibe, he would have gotten hit by atleast the final shot. However, since they were many feet apart and the firing was done in such a quick succession, there was practically no time to adapt to opponent movements. A couple of inches in direction can mean the difference between a hit and a miss. This becoming more true as the distance between shooter and target increases.

What was worse was 2 things. Dreslin's body was now as thin as possible hiding behind his staff, in a way. His staff still as perpendicular as possible to the ground. Despite the staff, dreslin still kept his eye on his opponent. Watching for the next action.

Also, there were now 5 holes in the yukata sleeve which may or may not reveal information as to where Ikibe would fire next.

The ever telling pausing to show a bit of contemplation as well as possible strategy change. The man quickly stepped back several steps gradually, breaking into a backwards run while shots were fired, evidently Ikibe was using the weapon as something that it wasn't normally of its type. Despite how the man looked running backwards around his opponent, he was quite speedy at it.

Another thing that would be noticed is the utter lack of bullets hitting, namely none. Each bullet was aimed randomly to end up barely entering the spot in which Dreslin formerly was in. Once again, the quick firing succession was working against his opponent.

During the moving, Dreslin noticed the glowing from the weapon. Not directing mind you, rather indirectly. How would be a good question. Maybe it should be asked when it came to the color distortion given onto the rest of the opponent's clothes versus their natural colors as the result of the glow. From this, Dreslin figured that he switched to another modification, apparently the type of modification in which granted more ammo than a weapon should have. Considering that the weapon was putting out more bullets than normal for a pistol.

Still firing with his right hand, Ikibe raises his left to point to the sky. He stretches his fingers, letting the joints pop quietly, and drumming them on his palm. Energy begins to collect and form above his hand, materializing some large...

(This is neither teleportation nor getting outside help, just Ikibe's version of storing his weaponry and retreiving it. For that matter, is teleporting other things to you allowed?)

A massive cannon finally finishes materializing and drops securely onto Ikibe's left shoulder, cradled by his left arm. Blue energy condenses at the barrel quickly and fires out a massive cone of destructive energy.

==================OOC NOTES!!!====================
Ikibetech Weapon #2: Positron Beam Cannon; (Thinks Iron Man's Proton Cannon from MvC2) A large shoulder firing cannon with an extremely high destructive yeild. Charges and fires fast (1 post) but has a long cooldown (3 posts). Current AOE: 40% of the ring, cone centered on Dreslin.

While continuing to run backwards, Dreslin raises his staff to hold it in his teeth. He then crosses both arms together, inlaying wrists with the palms facing outward as the cannon begins in its summoning. A ball of immense spiritual energy starts to visibly form in Dreslin's hand. Dreslin quickly notices the cannon as it finishes its entrance as well as the ball finishes its charging into existance. The size of the ball would be atleast half the size as Ikibe's height.

Dreslin would have fired the ball toward the annoying pistol that his opponent was using, but decided that a cannon is normally bigger bad news. So, as the cannon charges to fire, he fires his ball toward the cannon. The ball speeded its way towards it as the cannon is about to fire. By the time the cannon actually does fire, the ball would have almost reach the hole in which the cannon woulda fired out of, being within a few inches of it. What would likely be the result?

A very large explosion of the two colliding energies canceling each other out. The force of it knocking Dreslin back a few feet with some scratches on his hands, due to being far away from the explosion. However, Ikibe would practically have a front row seat to it. Likely, taking a hell of a lot of damage from the force and aftereffects, to include: burns all over his body, pistol incinerated, cannon damaged immensely to render it unusuable, possible internal damage to Ikibe's body, possible KO.

((This is best I can guess as to the possible damage. Don't have much experience with explosions. The ball is supposed to resemble Street Fighter Ryu/Akuma/Ken 's Hadoken. ))
