ElvenWhispers Chaleha danced around the edge of the clearing listening to the approach of something coming through the woods,to her surprise a different colored Soquili emerged from the dense foliage.And there was a smaller companion with the striped mare. She was totally impressed with the striped coat. "Hi',she chimed happily,cantering over to her."I am Chaleha!"
"Hello," said Randee, sweetly. "I am Randee and this is Leah."
Leah smiled and purred up at Chaleha. Leah usually is much more aggressive, but Chaleha made Leah feel happy.

Chaleha came to a walking stop,smiling at Leah and nosing at her to see what manner of creature this could be."Hi Leah,I've never met anyone quite like you before." Turning slightly to Randee she gave another greeting,"Hello Randee,I have never met anyone quite like you before,either." She shook her mane and continued,"I am very happy to meet the both of you!!"

"Leah doesn't usually act this way around others," said Randee, smiling at Chaleha.

"Oh she must be a good judge of character,I am just a happy red girl!Chaleha smiled her smile it was not like the smiles of normal horses with the lip all curled it was a side ways type of affair.And it made you laugh,but not because it looked funny,but because it was an infectious smile.

"Actually, she's usually just much more...aggressive," said Randee.
Leah purred and rubbed her head on Chaleha's leg, smiling.

Chaleha looked down in surprise at Leah. "Well I have not had this happen before."She said with a quizzical look on her face.
Looking at Randee she asked,"So where do you two live?"

"My Twolegger and I live on the mountain,though we have a teepee over by the River,under the big tree." Chaleha informed them."Do you like to run?"

"Oh,"Chaleha could not imagine not being fast,then again what was fast,"Randee I may not be fast either,that is not the point of a good run,keeping ahead of my shadow and enjoying myself is what I think makes a good run." She paused and continued,"It just feels good to me and is somewhat natural.But that is okay,since I just went running this morning a long way,too."

"Well, I never though of running that way," said Randee. "In that case, I'd love to go for a run. It can be relaxing."
Leah nodded. "I'm pretty fast though, after all, I'm a cheetah."

Chaleha went into a canter taking notice of Leah's speed."That may come in useful one day",she thought to herself.Of course the thrill of having company on a good canter was soon to overcome thoughts of Leah being useful or not.She was friendly and Chaleha liked her,and how the spots on her coat seemed to move with each of the long strides of the cheetah.She slowed to see the stripes of Randee's coat doing remarkably the same as Leah's spots.Little did Chaleha know that in the bright afternnon sun she shone out a bright copper,and her little wing fluttered. heart

Randee and Leah ran around in wide and large circles, feeling and enjoying the thrill of running against the wind.
"You're right Chaleha! This is fun!" exclaimed Randee, turning towards her friend. Randee wasn't paying attention infront of her. Leah tripped over a rock and fell to the floor. Randee still kept running until she tripped over Leah, tumbling across the ground, skidding through the grass and dirt.
"Ow!" screamed Randee, in pain, lying on the floor.

Chaleha gasped in horror,this had never happened before.frowning in her concern she slowed to a stop beside the fallen couple.Oh,are you okay,Randee,Leah?" Chaleha was horrorfied,look at what she had caused.If she had not asked them to run with her,they may well be still alright.Suddenly Chaleha was not happy.

"Yeah, I'm fine," said Leah, softly and weakly.
Randee tried standing up, but her legs were very weak.
Randee leaned against Chaleha, using her body to support her up and keep her balanced.
"I'm sure I'll be fine," said Randee in pain. "Just will take some time."
