The juvenile had an unusual build for a female of her age. Her limbs were growing now, and accompained by muscle that wasn't usually seen amoungst young females. However she took pride in her fighting, strength and overall ability. She was however, quite loud, so never grasped the hunting concept, however hard and violently she tried. Mbaya was more interested in fighting than hunting. She got a rush from it, and her growth spurt had provided her with more confidence, healed the pink scars that were previously placed on her tail and broadened the horizon for her.
Everytime she grew she gained more independance, but was already extremely independant, as she felt no love for her family. In fact, the mean juvenile detested two of her sickly sweet siblings, and the other she considered somewhat of a partner.
The creme female was back from her travels, having had another run-in with Hakan, whom had brought his brother along for support. The mere thought made her let out a cold laugh. Padding along the dusty ground, her hazel gaze fell upon the cave of her family. Her father had recently pulled her from what she knew would be another victorious fight, and she hadn't seen him since. Her mother had fortunately vanished from her sight, but was probably still around somewhere.
With a grin, she neared the den, looking for that golden cub she found vunerable. She could do with a little fun. Her silky voice rang out, echoing as she moved into the cave. "Malaika........"

Malaika was lay deep within the cave, her head nodding up and down in a strange game she called "catch the droplet on your nose". A tiny crack in the ceiling allowed for small droplets of water to drip through occasionally, and the object of the game was to try and catch the droplet on your nose. Although she would probably be considered too old now for such a childish game, her heart remained young and carefree. "Your turn Auri!" She laughed, keeping her dark grey eyes firmly fixed on the crack.
Auri, her best friend, would certainly be considered too old for this game. But making Malaika happy was one of his favourite things to do, so he didn't mind. "I'll get this one for sure." He chuckled, raising his rear end and preparing to pounce.
After a few moments, a droplet finally fell, but as it did, an all-too familiar voice echoed throughout the cave. The jackal looked towards the tunnel from which the voice had echoed, completely missing the droplet. A low snarl radiated in his throat. "It's Mbaya. Perhaps we should find something else to play outside?" Auri severely disliked Malaika's big sister, simply because Malaika couldn't find it in herself to do the same. He had to disliked her enough for both of them.
Malaika bit the bottom of her mouth, peering tentatively towards the tunnel. "No no, lets just see what she has to say..."

Mbayas eyes narrowed as she heard the conversation, and caught a snippet of the game they were playing. Letting out a high pitched laugh, she neared the pair, eyes glinting. "So?" She said, in a demanding tone. "What do you think you're doing?" She reclined, tail wrapping itself around her hind legs. "This is my cave." Using the emphasis she could, she stuck her chest out, with an air of importance, a violent edge visable in her eyes, claws out and scraping the hard ground.
She swore loudly. "What the HELL is that thing?" She sneered at Auri, and would raise a brow if she possesed the correct facial muscles. "Hiring protection now?" She asked, smiling.

"Oh just go away Mbaya..." Malaika said with a saddened sigh as the small bit of hope she had of Mbaya actually being nice for a change vanished. "Daddy says these caves are for all of us, not just you..."
Auri continued to growl, his mouth curling up to reveal his teeth. "Nobody likes a bully Mbaya." Everytime he came across Mbaya, he wondered how the Hell she had gotten that way. Mahiri and Bakhti were perfect parents from what he could see, so there was no possible way that Mbaya could've been raised wrong.
Malaika's nose scrunched up as her sister insulted Auri. "He's a jackal, and he's my best friend! So just go away!" There was a clear tone of despair in her voice as she shouted. It hurt her to be that way with her sister, but how could she be any other way?
The golden jackal snapped his jaws, finally coming to a conclusion to what he had been thinking. "Bullies are creatures who hate themselves, and so they take it out on others. Am I right Mbaya?"

Mbaya glared at the two, hate vivid in her eyes. "Since when did you get so cocky? Runt." She spat. "Daddy says, daddy says?!" She mocked her, with a false sweet tone.
"Oh shutup you bloody hybrid." She'd never truly encountered another creature before, and found them rather alien. However she was sure she could intimidate him. A hardh laugh was heard, seeming to bounce off the cave walls. "You have that scummy thing for a best friend?" Swearing again, she stopped herself in mid-laugh. "Why the hell did you choose him?"
Shaking her chocolate masked head, she picked herselfup, moving swiftly towards Malaika. "Go away shall I?" Cocking her head, she raised her voice. " If DADDY says the caves are for us all. Then that includes me." Clearing her throat, her tail unwrapped itself as she began to walk.
"Hate myself? Why would I? I can win any fight and I'm much more stronger than you!"

Malaika's grey eyes began to shimmer as tears threatened. "Why do you have to be so mean all the time? What did I ever do to you?" Slowly, she started to back up, not wanting her sister to come too close.
Auri did the opposite, and moved forward so that he was in front of Malaika. Her cruel words went straight over his head, as he wasn't one to be easily insulted or intimidated. "You're pathetic really. Does it make you feel good to pick on those that are weaker than you?" He sneered. "Those that are more loved than you?"
Malaika gasped at Auri's harsh words. "Auri, don't say that...mum and daddy love us all equally..." As Mbaya began to walk closer, Malaika continued to back up, becoming increasingly scared.
The jackal noticed Malaika shifting behind him. "Don't worry Malaika, I won't let her hurt you." Glancing back towards Mbaya, he snarled. "You have nothing to gain from starting a fight here, so what's the point?
