Alright. This is how it is going to work. I will post a list of Vocab words for you to learn and some grammer points that you need to know, and other little things. At the end of the month I will make up a test for those who are particaping in the class. You must PM me for the test or you will not get it. This is not madatory for the Guild, just a way to start off the lessons for the begginers. On the tests, I ask that you do not cheat. Because that is only hurtting you.
If you want to get the test, you MUST post in this thread. If you do not, we will not know if you are particapating.

New Words and Expressions
  please forgive me for handwritting this.
1. Desu. Desu is a very useful little word becuase it can be used as is, am, are, it is, this is,and the. I am Vincent (watashiwa) Vincent desu. It's a book. hon desu. She's Hanako. / That's Hanako. Hanako desu.
2. Asking questions. Very simple. Add ka. That is Hanako. hanako desu. Is that hanako? Hanako desuka.
Not all questions end in ka. What is your name? onamaewa? ^ is the shortened form of / onameha nan desuka.
3. Offering something. When you want to give someone something, you say douzo It roughly means here, take it. hon desu. douzo. Here is your book.
4. Age
To ask someones age it is nan sai desuka. to respond you put your age then sai desu. jyuuroku sai desu. 16 years old.

but... um... watashiwa isn't 'I', watashi is 'I', but wa is a particle noun signifing the subject (like 'the').

Silent_Kitten_of_Purring sign me up! but... um... watashiwa isn't 'I', watashi is 'I', but wa is a particle noun signifing the subject (like 'the'). this is true,but my stupid text book has that down as a vocab. word

Two things I noticed which might be helpful. "Rubber" is not the word most Americans use for けしゴム(keshigomu). We say 'eraser.' 'Rubber' is slang for condoms. It's important to note the difference.
Also, there is one exception in saying one's age. When you are 20 years old, it is acceptable to say 二十歳/二十才(nijyuusai) but it is very common to hear people say 二十歳/はたち(hatachi)

And I think we can all be mature enough to take rubber as eraser instead of termonlogy for a condom.
