-Hup Hup Hup! Daddy's Little Girl- I filched the formatting from Ioyla. She can kill me later on. <3 Enter Reinita, the Little Queen
Ring Name: Reinita Weight Class: Heavy Cruiserweight (at the end of the Cruiserweight spectrum for women. Mid for men.) Wrestling Technique: Luchador Wrestling Style: Dirty Alignment: Once a Heel (bad guy), now a ‘Face (baby face) Belts Won: Women’s Championship, Tag-team Championship
Tag-Team Partner: El Colibri Negro (The Black Hummingbird)
Ring Persona: Sharp as a tack, clever, with a deliberate penchant for being tactless, Reinita proves the meaning of her name whenever she enters the ring. Barbs of sarcasm are not uncommon to her, and she’ll use every mode of intimidation to break down her opponent’s defenses.
Regardless of her ‘reign of supremacy’ over her enemies, she is utterly loyal to those she deems worthy. However, unwanted tag-team partners watch out: this queen won’t hesitate to purposely lose a match if she favors her opponents.
Extended IWS Wrestling Tab: Click here!
In-game Pictures: I made Reinita on the video game Smackdown! VS. Raw, so the next set are of her. Small discrepancies, but nothing I can't fix...so without further ado~ Look at my ghetto photography skills in awe!
- Face: [ x] - Torso: [ x] - Legs: [ x] - Profile: [ x] - Back (head): [ x] - Back (torso): [ x] Luchador spread, as drawn by moi: [ x] The Woman Behind The Mask
Name: Gloria Santiago-Velez - Most Hispanic names adopt both last names from each parent, the father's foremost, then the mother's. In this case, Santiago is Gloria's father's last name, and Velez belongs to her mother. Though she signs with 'Santiago', Gloria associates herself more with 'Velez'. It's either 'Gloria Santiago-Velez' or 'Gloria Velez'. Gender: Female Age: 26 Birth date: February 9, 1980 Birthplace: Santurce, Puerto Rico Nationality: Puerto Rican Height: 5’10” Weight: 139 Build: Neither skinny nor fat, Gloria appears to be caught in the middle – though manages to remain surprisingly toned given her job. Because the fact that she grew up in a Puerto Rican household and her mother always fussed that she was too skinny as a child, she grew up and filled out into a shapely and robust young lady. Also because of her background, she has wide hips, a round waist, and breasts that she has always - since the day she heard she d need a bra at nine - hated. She was given the nickname Guitarra at home, which means guitar. Skin tone: Tan, a sort of dark honey color. Eyes: Gloria s eyes are round, dark, and fringed with long lashes, giving her the complete camel look. It really doesn’t help the authoritative part of her, but gives her a rather naive appearance (even though when she s not smiling, she looks severe like an angry child). Her brows are somewhat thick and arched, dark against her skin. Hair: Her hair lingers just past her shoulders, black coffee brown, thick, and VERY wavy. Without attention will easily become frazzled. She parts her bangs so that they fall on either side of her face rather than in her eyes and because the ends are particularly wavy, they tend to tickle against her cheeks. It has a course and wiry feel to it, not unlike a horse’s mane. (Usually kept up in a ponytail or a bun).
Mother: Carmen Santiago-Velez Father: Angelo Santiago-Velez Siblings: Raphael (eldest, half-brother from father s first marriage - 32), Emanuel or Manny (older, full brother - 28 ) Martial Status: Very much engaged to one Ramon Ramirez
Education: Finished college Sports: Wrestling, Kenpo, Streetball with her brothers (basically all-out basketball) Ring Heroes: Hulk Hogan, Undertaker, Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero
Personality: There’s a strong, out-spoken woman hiding behind that half smile she always wears, a character behind that unreadable face. Gloria’s a passionate woman, justifiably speaking her mind when the need and time arises. However, her words only come out firmly when she has something to fight for, otherwise she has tendency to tip-toe around subjects that she’s not too keen about.
She really doesn’t understand that part of herself, and tries to correct it. Being blunt doesn’t work if you can’t feel it, right?
Gloria will always be a kind young girl at heart, though, compassionate if not naïve at times. No matter how much fame she gains, it never seems to inflate her ego – humble, she tries to give back to her fans what they give to her.
She also has this habit of giving people nick-names based on appearance.
Despite her kindness, she has a downfall:
Her explosive anger.
Luckily, this is very rare – but when it happens, beware. She’s prone to becoming physically violent before exiting the problem completely. She manages to give warning signals in the form of sharp answers and a rising voice before the inevitable hits. Toe her red zone too much and you’ll get a punch in the jaw.
Likes: Her job, her fans, running, cooking (especially large meals over a spit, mmm.), singing in Spanish, dancing (salsa, merengue ), loud music, being with her family, being near the ocean, hanging out, playing various sports with no rules, guns, reading, big groups of people, rash decisions, scary movies, history, theology
Dislikes: Rude and inconsiderate people, being talked down to, being underestimated, being called things like ‘Diva’, ‘chick’, ‘babe’ (she’ll castrate you. (: ), being alone, disorganization, being cooped up inside, not having some sense of control, cryingEmer arts! Sexier than your mom! Gloria - 0 Unfinished. Yes, any lazier and I'd be in a coma. Zebra-esque Form (75-100?) I didn't bother cleaning it up because I'm lazy as hell. BUBUBU!Gloria fullbody Finished? No. Pleased? Yeah. Same picture, graffitied on My friend was making me feel better. He's a riot. <3Braaay~ Neigh neigh. 8D

Quote: It was one of those sunny, but drizzly days when Gloria was born inside a little white-washed hospital in Santurce, Puerto Rico. It was a day that indicated that ‘the witches were getting married’, an omen that her superstitious mother took to heart when the doctor had mentioned it to a nurse in a hushed voice.
“Angelo, our daughter’s cursed! Ay Santo Dios, bendícemela!“
But her father only laughed at his wife, a sound that to this day Gloria still remembers. “That may be so, but God has made her strong for us. She will be fine, mamita, she will be fine.”
And she was.
Gloria spent the first five years of her life running through the congested streets of Santurce with her two brothers, causing all sorts of mischief and mayhem. Despite being the youngest of the three and the most coddled, her brothers and she got along right as rain with one another, usually having too much fun to fight. Her eldest brother, Raphael, didn’t live with them, but with his mother on the other side of the city, though this didn’t stop him from spending most of his time in the Santiago-Velez s tiny apartment.
However, one visit and incident at a San Juan church struck them as the beginning to Gloria’s ‘bad luck’.
After service, Emanuel dared his little sister to steal the rosary from ‘el cura viejo y loco’, promising to buy her a toy car if she did. Gloria was a tomboy, playing more with boy’s things than girl’s, and so spurred by this want she crept into the confessional’s booth and filched the sleeping priest of his rosary.
Or at least she tried. To her and her on looking brother’s chagrin, the old man wasn’t deeply asleep, but lightly dozing, and awoke with a start - quick enough to leap to his feet, throw his arms in the air, and curse, “Fisgalo Diablo panzon! “
Gloria dropped the rosary with a scream - that was joined by those of her brother’s - and all three tore out of the cathedral as fast as their scrawny little legs could take them. They were scolded fervently for making such a racket in a holy place, but they were far too scared of the old man to listen to their mother’s bickering.
A week later, Gloria and her family received news that they were leaving for the states, news that the siblings still blame the curse for. The real reason was that their father had been transferred because of his job in the Army, but he never told THEM that. So sadly, they had to part with Raphael and start a new chapter in the U. S. of A.
Emanuel and Gloria became exceedingly close over the years they spent bouncing from city to city all across America – they started in Nashville, Tennessee for about two years before trekking across the U.S. to Sacramento, California, where they settled for about three years…
And it was in California that Gloria fell in love at the tender age of nine.
Not with any person, mind you!
On her ninth birthday, her father gave her the queerest gift a dad could ever possibly give to his daughter; rounding up the family, he packed them all into the family van for an unplanned road trip to San Diego where they attended the LLL, the ‘Lucha Libre League’. A night dedicated to the spectacular high-flying Mexican wrestling arts, full of colors, masks, and death defiers.
Gloria had never had a better birthday.
When she turned ten, they packed up again and left sunny California for the smallest city she’d lived in yet: Savannah, Georgia. Despite the massive uprooting, she could have cared less. Consumed by her dream to become one of those many wrestlers, decked out in a mask and flying through the air, listening to the screams and cheers of fans, she began to…practice, so to speak. Her brother wasn’t as keen on the idea, but whenever the little girl wanted to wrestle, he gave in. Backyard wrestling on the trampoline consumed her life, and though she couldn’t manage it everyday with the coming of each school year, she dedicated her summers to it. When other kids were shipped off to camp, Gloria was Hurricanrana’ing her brother off the trampoline. And finally, when she became of age, she started up on the wrestling team at school.
Granted, technical wrestling and the style of luchadors are two completely different things, but it gave her a broader sense and a different style when it came down to competition time.
However, entering high school, she realized just how difficult living as a Hispanic in America was when the majority of your school was white. Gloria and Emanuel were often targeted for racial discrimination; because of their accents, they were classified as dumb, even from the teachers, who turned a cheek at her brother’s obvious brilliance. Her mother became increasingly frustrated with the red tape bureaucracy, and became hell bent on proving those ‘gringos’ wrong.
Gloria never realized all the pressure her mother had placed upon her brother, what with studying and badgering him with extra workloads, until the moment he went to college. Then everything fell on her. Her mother more or less banned her from what she loved most: wrestling, in attempted to pull apart the safe-haven the girl had built around herself - trying your best on a test was no longer an option. You had to be -the- best.
“Not only are you a woman, but you are a Latina woman. You have to prove yourself twice to get anywhere here,” she would tell her. “You can’t be seen doing all your hoodlum acrobatics.” In attempts to keep up with her mother’s pressuring workload, she dropped out of her wrestling team, much to her coach’s chagrin. She just didn’t have time anymore.
Despite this, old habits are hard to break. Devoting herself to her mother only worked for so long before stress began to wear her down – she needed a release, the type sports brought, and one day after school, she reasoned with her coach that she could indeed rejoin.
Of course, her mother didn’t know.
Her excuse for coming home late from practice was after-school studying, and competition? She was spending the night at her friend’s house, of course! And all seemed well until junior year, when expectations ran higher than norm and it was only a matter of time until her mother found out.
And when she did, she got into an all-out, verbally violent argument with her that only her father could break up. After that, things became pretty rocky.
She tried her absolute best to please her, but nothing seemed to work; after all, B s and low C s were no longer acceptable. Her unruly, unabashed behavior had to be traded in for that of a proper senorita. Towards the end of her tenth grade career, she became frustrated with her mother and broke down.
Gloria juggled schoolwork between various jobs, spending as little time at home as possible, but still trying - in secret - to please her mother. Her weekends were spent at the local gym with her father, practicing both technical and lucha libre-styled wrestling, and her weekdays were dedicated to studying and applying for scholarships and colleges.
Gloria finally graduated and chose a small college upstate, where she decided to aim for a history and theology degree; due to the curriculum, wrestling became a background thing, something she spoke of fondly, but failed to practice. Few of her friends cared about the sport, waving it off as stupid and fake, and she gave up trying to explain her love for it.
But she had no idea what to do with her degrees after she left college; oh, she loved the subjects alright, but did she really want to spend the rest of her life teaching history? It wasn’t until one of her few wrestling friends invited her to a local IWS show that her eyes were finally opened.
Ah, the International Wrestling Syndication, chock full of wrestlers from all over the world. Enamored couldn’t be a more suitable word – she began to follow their shows late night on television, envisioning herself winning the title belts…and then she made up her mind.
Gloria spent two years of rigorous ‘prepping’ before she decided to try out for the IWS at twenty-three years old. When she was accepted, instead of being happy, her mother was worried for her daughter – what if she hurt herself? Wrestling, no matter some choreographed bits within it, still managed to cause damage on those doing it…she tried to reassure her mother. Yes, she’d be traveling, yes, she’d get hurt, but she would bring money home. As much as she was doing it for herself, she was doing it more for her family.
This quelled her mother’s skepticism, but it failed to squash it.
And thus she was swept away into a world that she had wanted to be part of since she was a little girl.

The Grevy's - or Imperial - Zebra All The Technical MessQuote: Kingdom: Animalia Phylum: Chordata Class: Mammalia Order: Perissodactyla Family: Equidae Genus: Equus Subgenus: Dolichohippus Species: E. grevyi On Looks... Of the zebras, the Grevy's is the largest of the species, standing 50 to 60 inches at the shoulder and weighing in between 770 to 990 pounds. As well as being the largest, it is also the most primitive behaviour and appearance wise, but despite this, it is also said to be the most aesthetically pleasing. This equid is long legged, with a longer, narrower head and large, conical ears: mule-like in appearance. Its mane stands erect and on juveniles, extends the length of its back. The tail, of course, ends in a tuft of hair. - On stripes... The stripes on the Grevy's are much narrower and much more abundant that on others; they are perpendicular to the spine and curve around the tail in a triangular form. However, the stripes do not touch the belly of the beast, which is left completely white. The ears are given broad stripes and on the legs, the stripes appear to gather into tighter bundles. The nose, of course, is colored black, however it isn't as dark as the Plain's zebra. On Behaviour... The Grevy's zebra is very much a social animal, a basic unit consisting of a mare and one or two foals. Units often combine though herds, but are unstable and do not establish rank hierarchies. However, mixed groups of 100 to 200, sometimes up to 450 zebras, are not uncommon during migration and around water points in the dry season. Grooming plays a large role in social bonding. Grevy's use facial expressions and sounds (not unlike a braying noise) and groom through biting and nibbling at one another. Males hold large territorial grounds, and most any female that wander onto it are free game for breeding. Strangely, most male Grevy's are tolerant of other males that come onto their territory, some even forming small bachelor groups; they allow them in but refuse to allow them to breed with the females on their ground. On Diet... Grevy's spend most of their time feeding (a whopping 60% - 80%) day and night (they have very good eyesight with a possibility of seeing color). Their teeth are built for chewing and cropping and they most often feed on grass, though oftentimes feed on bushes, stems, and fruits. They don't require as much water as others, but will walk up to twenty miles to reach a waterhole. Why? You know, that's a good question! Of all the animals I love, why did I pick the zebra? I really have no idea other than the shallow fact that they're beautiful, or I think they are. Gloria seems to possess many of the same tendencies too - the social structure is not unlike the one in her household; she needs others, particularly a small group, to keep herself sane. She's independant up to a certain point, and if you take away her family, you take away everything she lives for. Which is why I want her on the island. I think it'd be mighty interesting to get a girl who relies on her family for mental survival to be stripped from everything she knows and loves. Gloria: Look at that baby's face! Isn't he cute? Ideal 100%: Gloria's face has elongated to resemble a Grevy's, though humanesque in the way her emotions animate it; three sender stripes go down the length of her nose, with two 'caligraphy' type lines on either side. Three stripes run down beneath either eye, connected over the top and the area around her mouth (or muzzle) has become black. Her eyes are the same (though now outlined with dark grey coloring), but again, spread upon her face to have the peripheral vision an equid has. Her ears are long and fluted, pointing either up through her hair or lying flat with two broad bands of black on them both. Her hair is a lot rougher in texture and has pushed back, though two locks of hair still fall on either side of her face. It (her hair or 'mane') follows the line of her spine as a short ridge. All of her hair is now white, though heavily striped with black, especially near her face. Also, her curls have been tamed to loose waves.
Her entire body is now covered with narrow black stripes which gather into penstrokes of black when they reach the bend of her elbows and knees. However, the area of her stomach and beneath and between her breasts has remained white.
Her fingers can either fuse into three or remain five save for the endings have become hard and nail-like, brackish in color. Her calf and shin area has been pushed back at an awkward angle to offer more balance, and her feet have become hard black hooves. Short black 'socks' are just above each one.
Her tail is thin and midlength, striped with black arrowing downward towards the brushtail sprouting from the tip.

I hope its ok to post?
Another soldier razz Its interesting to see something else then white people 3nodding
My character, Ulf, could probably get along pretty fine with Gloria, as long as she didn't act too much like a "feral puerto rican woman" then he would feel a bit intimidated and nervous sweatdrop
BTW shouldn't she be 26 years and not 25? She should have celebrated her 26th birthday in Feb this year?
Good luck with your quest!
