Treading carefully along the paths amid the bones, even going over bone piles, a contrasted dark and pale - Mostly dark, though - shape moved amid the bones, dust, and green mist.
With a growl, Schatz jumped over a small skeleton. Where had that rat gotten to? Her nose twitching, the young hyena looked about, dark eyes soaking in what light there was. With a snap of her jaws, she caught it, shaking the rodent violently. The n** on her ear was evidence of why she persued it, having saught out revenge.
Sitting down, she looked around, wondering where she was. Who lived here? Oh, well, she had what she wanted. Of course... As her eyes scanned the bones, she realised she was lost. "Great... Now I needa find someone who can get me out of this place..." With a huff, she grabbed the dead rat and started to walk. Only one way to find life - Look for it.

The lanky Zoo-Born Hyena strutted through the bones, dust coloured pelt and green eyes making him a dust cloud as he moved, swaggering slightly before his nose picked up the scent of another hyena, and close! What luck!
"Hullo! Anyone here?!" Angaza said, contently.

Yakuti had returned from his regular patrol of the graveyard borders only to come back to the scent of a hyena... Wait, two hyenas! But he only saw one at first, so he aproached her. She was black and white, around his age, and had a rat in her jaws, apparently she had just cought it.
"Hello there! I'm Yakuti, whats your name?" Yakuti asked pleasantly, he never had a playmate around his own size before.

Letting out a startled yelp, Schatz dropped the rat, whirling around. What she faced was another hyena pup, this one... Blue? A blue hyena... She sat down and rubbed at her eyes. No, she wasn't seeing things... "Don't sneak up on me like that, man-creature.." She got up, walking around him warily. "My name is Schatz." Her ears flicked as she heard Angaza. Another hyena..? Possibly lost, as well, amid all the bones. "Where, by chance, am I? Who runs this place? And how do I get unlost?" She may have been a tough little pup, but even she admitted when she was lost.

Angaza's ears pricked. Hyenas alright, and atleast one pup! The lanky adult began to trot over calmly, half-strutting.
"Hey, kiddies, what's up?" Angaza flashed a corny grin. Oh God, what was WITH this hyena!?

Yakuti rolled his eyes, man-creature...? "Well Schatz, its nice to meet you, this is the elephant graveyard, I'm afraid I can't get much more specific than that, this place is run by Mafa and to get unlost, you should talk to her." He said, answering all the questions at once before turning to face the other.
"Hello, and you are...?"

Oh goodness, he had lost Tibuka yet again. Sucked to be pup. A grey, black spotted hyena pup trotted at his leisure through the dust and bones of the graveyard. He had a goofy grin plastered on his maw, a friendly and loveable air about him. Mabozi was not a bright pup, but he was blissfully oblivious of all things bad, perhaps that was the reason for his eternal optimism.
Tibuka, the muddy brown hyena was Bozi's nanny, watching the pup when his mother, Mafa, couldn't. Or didn't want to. When he lost track of both his mother and his nanny, the pup started to wander, and that was exactly what he was at at the moment. It wasn't long before the young male came across a copious amount of scents. It overwhelmed him, causing him to sputter to a stop. He bounded forward, stopping before he got within a distance where they could see him. They all looked like him, like hyena. That was good. Mabozi's grin grew wider as he charged forward, floppy feet propelling him farther.
"HEYYY! ILOVEYOU!"
Mabozi wasn't talking to anyone in particular, but there were hyenas his size around, perhaps that meant they were like him and wanted to play with him. And that meant he loved them, but then again, he loved everything he saw.

Blink blink blink.
One of Angaza's ears went completely parallel to his head as he stared at the mass of pups in front of him. The adult had the expression of a New Yorker in the country for that moment then shrugged slightly.
"Name's Angaza. Central Park Zoo. EX-Central Park Zoo. Onna the other genii bit the keeper so we got so LOVINGLY ditched here."
Indeed, Angaza's African tounge had a very odd accent to it, a result of being zoo-born.

She was about to reply to the blue hyena, but as she opened her maw, the black female was interupted by another hyena. She was surrounded by males.. Her ears flattening back, Schatz eyed the new male warily. "Who.. Are you...?" She backed away slowly, fur bristling a bit. This one she did not like, not one bit. Schatz had just met him, and already she figured he was a few pebbles short of a full rock. At least the blue one had some brains to him.

Yakuti smiled, "Nice to meet you Angaza, I'm Yakuti." He said as yet another pup bounded in and yelled that he loved them... Okaaaaay... Yakuti sighed, he was getting a bit tired of all these introductions, but if he could get so many new members into the pack he would make Mafa so proud!
The thought exited him as he walked up to the newest one, "Hello, um, who are you then?" He asked, "Do you come from around here?"
Little did he know that the newer hyena was already in the pack, but he still felt like meeting him.

Young Mabozi screeched to a halt, his butt sliding across the loose dust dislodging it and sending it flying into a large dust cloud that floated around his bulky figure. As the cloud settled, the features of this overly eager pup were more visible. He looked exactly like a mix of his parents, Mafa and Tukutu, exept a bit lighter in hue. His pink tounge was hanging out, green eyes sparkling with excitement. He had never seen so many hyenas in one place at one time, and he was extatic about. First, his attention was caught by the oldest. He was big, like Tibuka. Just thinking about his nanny sent Mabozi's tail a'wagging, and the strange hyena's talk of a 'zoo' exacerbated the situation,
"A ZOO?! Wha's that? Can tha' e't it?"
Bozi's attention was caught once again by the little black female. The pup whipped around to face her, ready to answer her question, but once again he was raided be more inquisitions. This time, it was from a blue pup, one that smelled much like his mother. Perhaps the two had been together not too long ago.
"M'bozi. 'M M'bozi! A'course ahm from 'round 'ere! I live 'ere! With MaMa and Aun'ie and Da', though I dun know 'im. Who's tha'?... And tha'?... And tha'?"
Mabozi spun around, facing each of the hyena as he inquired their name. He had so much to say, but only so many words he could put it in, his heavily accented speech not likely to be able to form words to quickly, or be understood too well at all. With some luck though, he'd get his message across, as he had been for the first few weeks of his young life.

Yakuti coughed slightly in the dust and waited for it to settle, watching the large hyena with a quizical look on his face, this was Mabozi? Hm, he had no idea why this one would get free meals, but he didn't inquire, he was afraid of having to decipher more of his accent.
"Okay Mabozi, calm down, I'm Yakuti, I'm in Mafa's pack." He said happily, "And this is Angaza and Schatz, whom I am hoping might join also." He said before turning back to the other two.
"Would you two like to join the graveyard pack with Mabozi and I?" He asked, "Its great, really." He said. "And besides, if you join, you won't be lost anymore, you will be at home!"

Angaza decided tact was in order and addressed Mabozi first. The kid had potential!
"A zoo is where you get to lay about and do nothing but look like a sexy wild creature in exchange for free food and attention." He jumped on some bones. Who cared if anyone owned them?
"You don't eat zoos, kid. Ya live 'em. Unless some idiot bites the hand that feeds ya." He jumped down and bared his teeth as he snapped his jaws, to show his point.
"Then ya get dumped in the middle 'o' nowhere. Stupid 'jits didn't THINK before bitin'." Angaza sat, proud. Then he looked to Yakuti. So, the boys were together. Well, the female wasn't, and he moved near her.
"So who's in charge? Y'know. Alpha I think you call 'em? Who is he?"
Yup. Angaza was in for a shock.

Yakuti listened interestedly, he had never heard of a zoo before either, and it was interesting. But he didn't like the idea of having a whole lot of attention, he didn't like that much.
"The alpha of our pack is Mafa. And Mafa is a she, best come meet her yourself, trust me, this pack is a great thing, and you two would be most beneficial to our it." He said, turning and walking towards Mafa's den before turning back to check if the others were coming.

Her mostly white tail flicking, the female regaurded the others. "Alright... Then take me to this Mafa. And..." She eyed Mabozi. "Maybe she can take care of pebbles-for-brains here..." For a pup, she wasn't very pleasant. As she started to wal, she made it a mission to stomp on Angaza's tail. "Out here, we FEMALES run things, got it, man-creature?" For all her size, she was tough. If this place was good enough, and it sounded like where her and Friti were looking for, she'd have to go find her sister and bring her here. With all these males around, the one called Mafa might welcome them with open paws. Anything for a repireve from them..
