hmm.... good theory

What's with the fainting? Well, succubi need...every so often. We haven't seen Miho...(the ellipsises are to be read as Seeky used Piers Anthony's definition of succubi)

She seems really lonely.

miho is no vampire agreed, I considered the diabitis thing myself way back when, but also, the similar but oposit diseas which also causes fainting from blood sugar problems, hypoglaucemia.(spelling?) it's likely if she's human, after all, it could be her weakness and also then her driving force to do such big things like shut down all those east coast servers as mentioned in one page of MT. It's her way of demonstrating power over external things since she is so weak over internal things. She wants to see she has some control in this world. Also possable, the disease makes her examine her own mortality and human nature, so she's then come to examin other human's nature over all too, so that's how she can judge people, like when she got angry at largo for using the students during the mob. The disease also seperates her and distances her somewhat from other people as she feels different from them and that they may judge her, so she's lonely. this lonelyness and her human understanding draws her to Ping, as ping isn't human so won't judge her the same and Ping is already different as a sort of android, but was designed by humans, so Ping is unique in having very different weaknesses and mortality then humans, which may intrest her to see, plus, knowing human nature, she can then want to find out about the programed nature of Ping and see how it compares, then being adept at understanding these things, and having examined the situation, she can then understand Ping's feelings and deal with her appropriatly and be a good friend to her.

I'm not so sure about the if she's not human she may be succubi theory though......I don't see Miho as being the type to screw the sleeping sweatdrop

If she has a disease--which I actually find to be highly possible, it fits in quite well with the story line so far--I would imagine it being a more life-threatening disease. Something that would actually ostracize her. People I know with diabetes and high blood sugar eat differently, but they aren't bitter...
As for succubus, I don't think of her as an actual succubus, but it's just an efficient term that adequately describes what I suspect she is. I don't think she sneaks into people's houses and... does... y'know with them, lol. I just think she's an emotion-eater... She provokes 'em, then gobbles 'em down! lol.

SEX. Fine, you got me to say it. You know, re-reading book 3, it occurs to me that she seems to feed off of the pain of others.

Was his stagnancy based on an actual disease? If it's a real disease, then I could see it, it's extremely similar. It could be some kind of anxiety disorder, I suppose... You can tell sometimes how Fred gets some ideas from other manga and anime, so it's possible.
