Linneas was furious, absolutely furious. His face was as red as his hair and his golden eyes were livid. He had warned his sister about Loki, he had told her not to get near him. He just knew the hyena Legend was nothing but trouble.
And he had hurt her.
Huni had told him not to make a big scene, it was an accident after all. But Linneas wasn't about to let anyone who hurt his sister get off so easily. He had managed to drop Arya off with a friend, and even asked her to watch over Avi. Together with his sister, they made their way towards Loki's house. He had called Kanth earlier (he had checked the numbers in the directory and called every single one until he found the right one) to let her know they were on their way.
"Linny, you don't have to do this you know. I'm alright and my hair will grow back, besides it wasn't too damage." Paestri offered, she wasn't feeling well and it bothered her to see the expression on Linneas face. It was confusing to see the suppressed rage in his normally benign expression.
"Yes, we do! We demand justice and retribution! I want that freak lizard's fire doused out for good!" Malady screeched into Linneas' ear, though it knew the Tale wouldn't be able to hear it.

The door opened with ease, and in the doorway stood what looked to be... a male version of Kanth. "Welcome." He smiled, ushering them inside. "Would you all like some tea...?" His voice sounded far too sweet, and the way he looked... it was almost mad.
Loki was sitting in the living room, crosslegged on a big red chair as he was flipping through his book, an almost lazy expression on his face.

"I'm Linneas, I called earlier in hopes to inform Miss Kanth about a recent incident." The Tale introduced, his lips pressed in a tight line. He would have liked to be nice but he was still too angry to be anything more than polite.
Paestri stood beside her brother and waved at the man who answered the door. She followed them in and when she saw Loki her eyes lit up.
"Loki!" she greeted warmly.
Malady was wary of the Legend, as of the moment it could not see the nasty fire lizard anywhere. But that didn't mean Lue wasn't there...
"Stay alert..." it warned Paestri.

Glancing up with surprise, Loki shut his book and gave a wan smile back, waving tiredly. He had been up late lately, and run into both Mayu and Demare... granted, things were a bit better, but not much.
"Kanth... is not here at the moment." The man gave a coy smile. "I'm Ka, though... perhaps I may assist you?"

"Are you currently in charge of raising Loki?" Linneas asked, "Because if you aren't I wouldn't want to tell you what he had done to my sister."
"Linny, can I talk to Loki?" Paestri asks, her brother hadn't relinquished his vice-like grip on her hand.
"Don't do it Linny! Don't let her get near them!" Malady gasped in horror.

"Honestly... does it really matter?" Ka placed a hand on either side of Linneas, bringing his lips close to the Tale's ears. "Perhaps you'd like to calm down... Loki means no one harm, and you can see that your dear little sister isn't hindered by him in the slightest." Reaching down, Ka brushed his fingers over Linneas's hand, grin growing wider as he attempted to unravel those fingers around Paestri's own hand.
Tilting his head, Loki grimaced at the scene, taking out Lue and glaring. "This is all your fault, you know," He muttered to the sulking red lizard, and set him down on the ground. Lue scampered away, giving a short glare to Malady in the process.

Linneas felt a chill shoot up his spine at Ka's touch and his proximity.
"My sister hasn't been her normal self lately." he snaps, practically yanking his hand away from Ka's and in the process releasing Paestri. "And what makes you so certain he's not going to end up burning her again?"
Once freed, the pink Legend half-skipped towards Loki. He had taken Lue out, but rather than shrink away in fear she merely smiled at the lizard and waved at him. She had forgiven him already?
"You don't look so good." Paestri declared as she stared intently at Loki. There was, however, no trace of concern in her eyes. Nor was there contempt or sarcasm. She was just stating her observations like she was telling him his name was Loki.
Malady did its best to twist its tendrils into the shape of a hand to give the retreating lizard the rude hand gesture it had learned. Not from Linneas, definately, but it had seen someone make that sign from somewhere long ago. Unfortunatley it couldn't form itself properly and ended up wagging a finger in a disappointed manner.

"Just watch. If he does anything... I assure you, I will act on your behalf." The grin he gave Linneas was anything but charming.
"What's it to you?" Loki muttered, crossing his arms and shoving his book back between his thigh and the chair. "... you changed a little, from when I saw you as a baby. You cried easier." His gaze shifted to Malady, as if judging.

Linneas felt uneasy being around Ka, there was just something entirely off about the man. If Ka had been overseeing Loki, it would explain why the boy was so destructive. Having the wrong influence often leads to aggravating an already poor social standing.
Yes, Linneas is prejudiced and biased whenever the subject of Loki comes up. He doesn't want to admit it, but he is.
Paestri shrugs and sits herself down beside her fellow Legend. "Nothing really, just saying what you look like. And I think I changed a lot, and it's not just me not crying as much. I feel happy most of the time, which is good.
"Don't you think being happy is better than being unhappy?" she asked brightly.
Malady glared back at Loki, shrinking away and hiding behind Paestri.

A slow smirk crossed Ka's face. "Well then... I suppose I'm right. Come, let's have tea." Taking Linneas' arm, he drug him rather forcefully into the kitchen.
"I guess, but a false happy is no good either." Loki scooted over so Paestri would have some room, drawing up his legs and wrapping his arms around them. "... why did you keep... that thing?" Fingers reached out and poked the small belt she had around her arm.

"What? Shouldn't we still keep an eye on them?" Linneas gasped as he struggled against Ka's grip. The teen wasn't having much luck breaking free, though. It's not that he didn't want to have tea with Ka, he was just worried for Paestri being with Loki unsupervised. That was the situation between them when the pink Legend got her hair singed.
"False happy? What's that?" Paestri canted her head to the side, icing pink eyes staring deeply into Loki's. Her gaze moved towards the strap he had given her when he asked about it.
"You gave it to me and I like wearing it. I like using the stuff people give me, except when I don't know how to use them. Like that crystal Breena gave me, it's really pretty but I don't know what to do with it. So I keep on my desk, it's too big to turn into jewelry," she smiled.

"Don't worry about it." Ka grinned, nails digging in. "We'll have so much fun~"
"I've never met Breena... what's she like?" His eyes moved to Malady again, but he couldn't see where she was at. Instead, his crimson orbs moved back to Paestri. Leaning back, he stretched his wings, letting out a small sigh. The day was rather... relaxing. He needed something... entertaining? Mischevious? He didn't know.

The teen was sorely tempted to flail his arms about in order to grab onto something. He did not like what the man was suggesting and he wasn't in the mood to go along.
"Define 'fun' first," he states as he narrows his eyes.
"I don't remember very well, she was really nice to me but she doesn't like hugging. I noticed that she ended the hug too soon, I just wonder why though." Paestri shrugs leans back, not at all bothered that in the process half of Malady ends up sticking out of her chest.
Malady's eyes widened in horror as it finds itself staring at Loki when it didn't even want to look at him in the first place. It quivered and trembled and threatened to go into a spasm.

"... maybe you should leave. Your... shadow seems offended at even the sight of me." Loki murmured, his crimson eyes now resting upon Malady. In a way, it was a bit comforting, to feel at least someone afraid of him.
"Don't worry about it. Just relax." Letting go of his arm finally, Ka ushered to a chair, setting down a cup with already hot tea in it. His grip earlier was tight enough to form bruises.

"Hm? Oh, Mal's not my shadow, it's my Intangibles," Paestri explained casually. "Mal doesn't like anything or anyone, so I don't really think too much about it. Does that bother you?" she asks curiously.
Linneas nursed his arm, rubbing the spot where Ka had gripped him almost viciously. "I'm not the sort who can relax when my sister is in danger. How can you trust him so easily?"
