PLAINS OF SORROW

These are endless plains. The grass grows as far as the eye can see. Lakes are scattered. Even a few caves for the less daylight favoring races. But, as piecfull as the land may seem, it is filled with sorrow. Joy seems to leave the hearts of all who dare to come here. Here, there is no good...no evil...only you, nature, and the strange sadness.

Sy continued to lay; back flat against the green grass of the plaines, watching the bright blue endless sky above. There were two forms circlin above; one large, one small. K'Tathi and Ryler were both scanning the area, making sure that no one un-invited disturbed the Count bellow. Occasionaly, one of the two birds let out a call, much like the predatorial screems of any regular bird of prey, and Sy got a wordless report from both his feathered friends.

It was such a shame. This place, it was beautiful beyond words. Breathtaking, but the saddness about it... it was depressing. Such sad beauty... It was boring to. nothing was here. Just... endless grass, and sky, as far as the eye could see. What was the point of such a depressing, boring place?

After sitting agaisnt a random rock for an hour, watching absolutely nothing at all, Tyr dragged himself to his feet and nudged the 'count' with one boot. "Come on, are you done yet? It doesn't matter how long you look at it, the sky wont be changing anytime soon. This place... Its like a dead world." He stared down at teh dark hared count laying at his feet and frowned a little, his ears drooping just a little. "Sy... are you even listening to me?"

He didn't move at the nudge, and when Tyr was finished speaking, he barely spared a glance to teh hybrid. he spent a few extra moments watching the sky and his birds before he made an attempt at a reply. "I'm listening..." He mumbled, then tried to hide the grin that was twitching at his lips. "But jsut so you know, i want to stay here. Its calming somehow."

Both of Tyrs ears perked at the word 'want' and his body seemed to react all on its own. By the time he realised it, the hybrid was sitting crosslegged on teh ground, tails twitching on either side of him. His brain had 'interprited' what the count had wanted, and he'd reacted subconsciously to that want. Again.

"..." he growled a little, baring his un-naturally sharp canines, but none of his hostility was focused on Sy. "...I really hate it when you do that, you know?" He side-glances, one brow raised. "Are you seriouse about liking this place?"

And with the actions, adn the words, Sy couldn't help but grin wide. "I know you do, and yes i am. Can't you feel that? That un-ignorable feeling of nothingness that completly engulphs this entire place?" He actually turned his head away from the sky so that he could see the hybrid sitting beside him. "The calm, the peace? Its amazing."

"The depression?" Tyr couldn't help but shake his head. "You're as stupid as ever, i see." Without warning, he startedprodding Sy with both hands, and whining just a tad, audiable in just an irritating way. "Come on. I feel like i should be cutting myself or something. The network of interconecting portals should be able to take us to a place thats much more.... much more pleasent. So..."

(( Crimson has a good head, making rule #1 No Sex. Tch! But then again, there are far more pleasent things that can occupy ur time, NE! CARTO-CHANZ?!?!?!?!

"...So?" In one move, Sy was sitting up. He rolled both his shoulders a little to get rid of the little aches that laying down, hands behind his head, usually caused, then turned completly so that he was looking at Tyr. "If we get into a place thats more comfortable, there'll be people. You dont like people, i dont feel like socialising, so here is a good place to be."

He narrowed his eyes a little, not in a glare, but in a way to focuse a little. "On the other hand..." He reached up with one hand carefully, and just touched part of the bandages covering the hybrids left eye. they were damp to the touch, an the white cloth had started to stain a little yellow, and a little red in other spots. "maybe this place is having some kind of odd effect on you. Does it hurt?"

Tyr kept quiet for a moment. On a normal occasion, he would probably have bitten off the touch-ee's fingers, or done something hostile towards them. Unfortunetly, he couldn't act against Sy, for genetic reasons. "Of course it hurts. This place is depressing me; Strong emotions like this cause excessive... 'leakage'"

His golden eye narrowed then, and his right ear gave a twitch. "So, get up and lets go. i wont hesitate to leave without you, you know." His right tail gave a little flick, as did his left.

And At-chan, Sy isn't touching Tyr... he's poking him... Gently, and in a quietly seductive manner.

Sy couldn't help but chuckle at the hybrid. He gave his head a little shake and withdrew his hand, dropping t to the ground. "I'd like to see you act against my will, especially since i want to stay here. At least for now." He was being evil at the moment, and loving every second of it.

On another note; Crimson, dearie, i want the Sex rule clarrified! *is the only person in teh world who would ask this question* i wanted to make a long post talking about Tyrian's crotch.... ))

Any, and all will to get up, was kicked, and violently tossed out of his head. The whole proccess actually left him a bit disoriented, and he had to close his eyes to get his coordination back. ".... .... Please stop doing that... It really... Gets annoying, and irritating... and discomforting..."

"I know, i know. Sorry." Sy cleared his throat, as a way to hide the fact that he'd been chuckling at the hybrid, and his discomfort. "Come on, Tyr. You can't tell me that you dislike this place. I mean, its depressing, but you're very depressing on a regular basis to. Its a very quiet place, and i know for a fact that you like pleasently silent places. So tell me, what's wrong with this... this dimension?"

Seconds after Sy was finished saying his part, a large, white feathered being dropped out of the sky, landing craftily on the ground beside the young Count. K'Tathi stretched her wings a little before folding them tightly against herself. She eyed both men with her bright yellow eyes, then hooted quietly.

::I do hope i am not interupting something important.:: She said lightly, mind-sending her words to both Tyr and Sy. ::But i would like you both to know that there is nothing living here, aside from the grass, and the occasional tree. Nothing at all. No feild mice, no lizards, no other birds. Us four are the only living, breathing creatures here.:: SHe took a second to glance up towards the sky, where Ryler was still circling.

And the Kestrel Hawk wasn't about to let the Owl have all the say in this matter, either. ::Leave! Ryler Hungry, needs food. Soon.:: He let out a very hawkish screetch before adding ::Belly growling, can see portal place from here.::

Tyr turned towards the sky and sheilded his eye from the glare of the sun. He could see the circling shadow that was obviously Ryler, and nodded. "I just dont like this place, no need to dig further into it." He looked back towards Sy and snorted, flaring his nostrils. "Now, i'm in agreement with your bird. Time to go." In one move, The hybrid was standing, tails stretched out behind him, and ears cocked forewards. "Shall we?"
