Aggravation was the key word.
The hyena boy paced back and forth a few feet away from the HQ, finally stopping and glancing up at the tree where his fire lizard familiar was hanging out, dangling in the branches.
There was nothing really to say, but Loki really wanted to meet someone new. Someone that didn't hate him. Someone that didn't really know him...
Someone he could use. A smirk graced his face - use, such a petty word... he had been antisocial as a kid, gotten in many fights, and his last had not been victorious... Loki wished that he could grow up, gain something that would give him leverage against someone, or something, else...
Slumping at the base of the tree, Loki bowed his head and let Lue fall on top of it, claws digging into the base of his upside-down ponytail.
Even sleep was against him nowadays.

Mikhael wound his way out of the headquarters, breathing a sigh of relief. All those people, all staring at him, and asking him questions....the muse boy's nightmare situation aside from..well, his nightmares. He was glad to be out of there. He wondered a bit if he could convince Raife to never make him meet anyone new again. Alas, he couldn't see it happening. After all, he intended to grow up, didn't he? And growing up involved grown-up things, like talking to strangers on a regular basis to get things done. Raife was giving him more responsibilities and priveleges as he grew as well. That wasn't so bad at all. It meant he could walk out of the headquarters alone to meet Raife where he was shopping in Gaia for new foodstuffs.
As Mikhael bent down to pick up a flower, he noticed a boy a bit older than himself lounging against a tree in the grass not too far away. He didn't look familiar...no, not at all. But something about him told Mikhael that he should know him.
Legend...

Feeling eyes upon him, Loki's head snapped up, grimacing in reply. "What're you looking at, kid?" He felt just a small bit irritable after all of the bad things being blamed on him, when it wasn't even his fault!
Of course, you were just as guilty as the company you kept, after all.
