Is there any of you that are Metal vocalists out there. I just thought that maybe we could start a topic where we could discuss tips techniques and new ideas in the vast field of be a vocalist

I can sing for s**t man. But I do play bass in bands or projects.

I got people if i ever need to make a band i can, but as of now im starting a prog band i got keyboads and bass which ever is needed in the song.

I'm the singer in my Black Metal band, but I dropped that and now am looking to make a new band with Industrial Rock and Doom Metal influences, most likely clean vocals this time around. Strange combination of genres I know.

cool we need a more "imagineative" keyboard, im tired or writing the keybord as well as the vocals its a pain. otherwise everyone in the group kinda works together to write our songs. we got 3 with vocals and about 7 more that we are trying to finish. its really hard to cause we ae all in college and poor. but they sould frickin sweet. we got a melodic metal mixed with fast solos sound.

Just trying to sing more than one black metal song kills my throat. I am not a vocalist so it doesn't really matter; I just like to try sing along to my favourite songs.
I am a decent guitarist.

Mine stopped hurtin after about a month. Now i can do all sorts of tone and level changes without having to worry that ill wake up without a voice in the morning.

I sing in a High School metal band, but I cant do Death Metal for s**t.
I can do Metallica and Megadeth type stuff, but I suck at screaming.
My vocals are more like Maynard Keanan in the songs we write.

killah666 I used to sing in my band, but I cant sing and play at the same time vocals is an instrument of its own to be really proficiant at wut you do you need to not try to double task

I'm working on my metal vocals. Got Black Metal and Death Metal vocals down. Working on developing clean vocals, now.
