yes, i said it... EARGASMIC. and if you dont know what that means, you're not a choir nerd.
something that moves me and sends chills down my spine... well... a lot of songs do, but as in one other post, theres a specific SATB a cappella song that is just outstanding. heres what i wrote in the last post that no one will probably read xp
"ive done quite a bit of the pieces you all have mentioned, so i dont think i have to list them over again. ive sung all of my life and in choirs for over 10 years (and considering im 18, thats a long time...)
one of my fav pieces has to be "sing me to heaven" just because we pulled it off so well in our final concert. it was absolutely spine-chilling. and i usually sing in treble choirs, so any SATB piece is fun to me. i have a link so that you can listen to it if youd like, but its another group... we did it 10x better... and im not BSing... its a gorgeous piece.
listen to it! http://www.dunstanhouse.com/mp3/9101.mp3"
the lyrics are awesome too... how about you? whats that one song that comes to mind when you think EARGASMIC?!?! this song is just AMAZING!!!

We had a song called Praise to the Lord last year.
Yes, I know there are a lot of those. This one is... Lutheran, I believe.
Anyways. Once we got it, it just CLICKED. It was GORGEOUS.
Unfortunately, the first time we performed it, I couldn't sing due to sore throat. crying

Yes, that was a very eargasmic song. Very good dynamics.
"Shenandoah" (sp) is a very eargasmic song....So is "Ave Maria.."

I have to listen to the song later, because it's 5:30, and I don't want to wake my mom up. xd But when I hear the word 'eargasmic,' 'Music of the Night' from Phantom of the Opera comes to mind. 'Think of Me,' also. Phantom is such love. heart

Lux Aeterna (Movement Seven from Requiem By Mendolson) is a very dramatic, eargasmic song. choirofsteeloranges Yes, that was a very eargasmic song. Very good dynamics. "Shenandoah" (sp) is a very eargasmic song....So is "Ave Maria.." "Shenandoah" is a song I love so much, I love to sing it, to listen to it, to play it.
