It's a form of p2p. It's really good. When I lived on campus they had a spepcial hub set up (by one of my friends, actually) that only students on campus could use, so it was safer too. Right now I used nicotine or soulseek, sepending on whether I'm in windows or linux

It's a method that isn't new at all, it's a technique used usally for sharing, where instead of downloading a file off one main server, everyone connects to eachother (peers) and they download the files off their peers. Thats why it's called "peer to peer". Thats what it actually is 3nodding .

Have you ever used a program like Kazaa? Basically you share stuff (in most cases, mp3) and lots of people can download and vice-versa. The only problem with stuff like Kazaa is that if you're not smart about it you can get caught. Personally, I prefer bittorrents and soulseek for my free music and anime needs.

yea, i heared of limewire...it's quite fast, but CD++ is faster though... you have to try it!!! wink
