HT
What exactly is a store called HT selling? Well some people call it bondage, some people call it a lingerine store in disguise, others say anime clothing, and some say 'different clothings'. Whatever it is selling it is diffently appealing to most of the younger teenagers to older teenagers. This store is most notable out of all the shops in Forestlake, especially with its big metallic black gates about it, giving it a rather halloweenish look. Inside sells clothings that are almost never seen without a shade of 90% black or metal laced about it. And if it isnt black, the colour is Pink.
Most of them have amusing sayings on the t-shirts or an alternative band name. The shop is usually blasting alternative rock band screaming their lungs out and filling the shop with a bass shaking manner. Some people might confuse this store for some concert.

Rayne arrives at the mall and steps off the bus in her usual attire of entirely black clothes, including the almost ankle length trench coat. Sure, it got some odd looks, but not as many ones if people saw the devil tail or scales she had. Her fangs, well she just planned to keep her mouth shut as much as she could.
Rayne lowers her sunglasses for a moment and checks the slip of paper in her hand and lets out a sigh. After much thinking, she had decided she'd actually take the job her foster mom had give her. The slip of paper had been in with the letter, which she'd just noticed after breakfast this morning. It just said 'report to HT on Tuesday the 31st'. She had no clue what HT was... from her foster mom it'd probably be some bed bath and beyond type thing.
"Great..." Rayne stuffs the paper in her pocket then heads inside. A few minutes later, Rayne reaches HT, or more commonly called, Hot Topic... probably the only store she ever shopped at. Rayne smirks slightly, for once that annoying woman back home had guessed her correctly, then heads inside. Immediately, she almost started shopping, before remembering what she was actually here for, something she didn't think would actually be so bad any more. Rayne slip her sunglasses off, then looks around for the manager instead.

Kuro arrived at the mall clothed in a black jacket under which he wore nothing, the jacket was long in the back to hide his wings.He pulled up his baggy, already fraying black jeans revealing his black converse and walked into the mall.He scanned the area looking for HT, the little store he had been assigned to.
After scanning and walking for a while while he bit down on his right thumb with one of his fangs.Damn it!They said it should be easily noticable due to the rock music...He thought.He looked around one more time and finally heard something.Metal being blared through speakers.He followed the sound until he finally reached the store that had Hot Topic above its entrance.
HT!He thought in jubilation as he walked in."Alright...I'm here now what?!"He called out boredly.I hope this job works out better than my part-timer at that restaraunt...He thought remembering how he had eaten what he was supposed to bring to the tables.

Rayne turns around as she hears somebody behind her, briefly thinking it might have been the boss, then notices that it was just another student like herself. Rayne noticed that he too was dressed in all black, obviously they had been chosen well for this job. "I have no clue." She replies in answer to his comment. It wasn't directed at her, she knew that, but it seemed nobody else was around yet. Rayne frowns slightly and turns back to the shop. "Think there's even a manager around?" She asks as she looks up at the sign overhead, then at the black gates, then back into the rather empty shop.

"Absolutely no idea..."Kuro said boredly."How do you think this job will work out?"He asked curiously as he took off his jacket leaving his upper body entirely uncovered.He flexed his wings quietly and boredly trying to get rid of a small knot that had formed in the muscle.He took off his sunglasses revealing his red and brown eyes and looked at her quietly.

"Better then any other possible options..." Rayne mutters, then watches him take off his jacket and raises her eyebrows in visible surpise. Rayne then glances around quickly, to see if anybody in the mall had noticed, but the place near hot topic was still pretty void of people. Metal music scared away anybody except for those there for hot topic it seemed. Rayne turns back to him. "Even though this is Hot Topic... don't you think people still might think the wings are a little odd? I mean... most people get creaped out when the store clerks have more then one piercing..." She says frowning slightly. Then again.... seeing a bunch of humans running around screaming might be a bit funny.

"They'll just think I'm an otaku..."Kuro said boredly.He scratched his black wing's feathers quietly."Besides...No one is even here right now..."He said boredly sitting down on the sales counter."And most people think a person is lying when they say they're half angel half vampire..."He said quietly folding his wings around his body.

Rayne nods and walks inside as well, then folds her arms and looks around at some of the stuff. Not as much anime stuff as her old mall shop, but still a good amount, she decided. After a moment she glances back over at him again. "I would say I know how ya feel... but most people actually believe me when I say I'm half demon half vampire." She says shrugging. She had yet to remove her trench coat. She didn't think the otaku excuse would work for scales, or a tail.

"Is one of your powers mind reading or something?" She asks him suspiciously. He hadn't seen her scales, and how did he know that was why she doubted the excuse? Still, after a moment she unfolds her arms and slips off her trench coat, dropping it behind the sales desk. Rayne flicks her tail and rolls her shoulders a bit, then leans against the counter, refolding her arms. Her scales scrap slightly and sparkle faintly in the lighting. "And I'd guess so." She replies to his question. "Guess not many people around here like Hot Topic." Though she couldn't see why. She thought the place rocked.

"Hey I hear ya. Hot Topic is one of the few stores I do like. This place is one of the few stores that carries anime stuff." She says, then tilts her head to the side slightly. "So, anyways, what are your powers then? I can manipulate plants and fire."

Kuro yawned and lifted his hand up.An orb of light appeared hovering above his hand.Then as he closed his fist under it the light faded as darkness swallowed it whole."Light and darkness..."He said simply and quietly."Seems I only got darkness because a vampire bit me..."He said quietly.

"Ah... guess that makes sense." Rayne sighs and stretches. "Good god, this is boring! Where is the boss around here? Or better yet, where are customers?" She says, frowning slightly as she looks around the empty shop. She was rather tempted to go back to school, maybe sneak some more blood from the hospital.

Kuro's nose perked up as he smelled the blood of his dark half approaching."Hey...How about you go to the hospital and get a few bags of transfusion blood for us?I'm thirsty and the look in your eyes says you are too..."He said quietly.
