IT JUST RUINS THE CHARACTERS.

Just Osakas japanese voice is better...the tone just sounds too kawaii! hehe Chiyos is cute the way it is and Tomos voice is as annoying as the japanese voice...same with Yukari-chan and Nyamo-chan!

I hate the English voice overs too. They ruin everything. It's terrible. Especially when downloading stuff a dn you accidentally download the English one and then your ears are bleeding all over the floor. It's tragic...

I saw & got used to the dub first.
I think they did an ok job, but I'm in love with the Japanese Osaka! dunno if I'd have been pissed if I watched a sub first, also Tomo is a bit annoying. Kagura & Chiyo-chan are very different.

I just went back and listened to some azumanga in Japanese ..and you're right it is much better. apparently america isn't very good with voice actors sometimes because the ones they have for azumanga aren't very good

sakaki's was ok, but mr kimura's...*Shudder*
we very rarely do anything right. Adult swim anime's have the best voice acting (GITS: SAC, FMA, Inuyasha, Bleach*Please dear god*, ect.)

Tomos voice is suppose to annoy you, Osaka is cool(although i admit Osaka in Japanese was much cuter), Yomi was just as bossy to Tomo, and Chiyos voice was cute enough! Sakakis voice omg was like heaven. Kimuras is just as creepy as he is supposed to be. Yukaris was funny and Nyamos...well idk Nyamo was alright i guess
