The admins at the Anime con confirmed that the inks you can get in towns will be a part of the upcoming tattoo shop. They also said you will be able to create your own tattoos.
Think about this, folks...who is to say a tattoo couldn't just be painting your whole body one color....

Actually, the implications are staggering. You could draw on makeup. Since they're saying we'll be able to use the ink to draw on t-shirts, barring any banning for using copyrighted symbols, those of us with logos on our chests may find that VERY interesting...

I will trade red inks for blue. I have a surplus of red and would like some blue so I can make rares.

For reference. Bellydancer Bug Items Where can I trade the bugs?
The bugs can be traded in at the Durem Depot (shop of Moira) in Durem. You need 50 bugs to get an item. It doesn't need to be 50 of a kind, you can for example also hand in 20 red flies, 10 red butterflies and 20 red beetles to get the ink.
What's the use of ink?
You can use the ink to color the paper and ribbons of the flower bouquets.What colours of ink are available?
 Red Ink
You need: 50 Red fly, 50 Red Butterfly, 50 Red Dragonfly, or 50 Red Beetle
 Green Ink
You need: 50 Grasshopper, 50 Green Dragonfly or 1 yellow ink and 1 blue ink
 Black Ink
You need: 50 House Fly, 50 Cicada or 50 Firefly
 Yellow Ink
You need: 50 Yellow Butterfly
 Brown Ink
You need: 50 Cricket, 50 Brown Beetle or 1 red ink and 1 green ink
 Blue Ink
You need: 50 Blue Butterfly, 50 Blue Beetle or 50 Blue Dragonfly
 Pink Ink
You need: 5 red ink and 1 white ink
 Gold Ink
You need: 1 yellow ink and 1 white ink
 Orange Ink
You need: 5 red ink and 5 yellow ink
 Purple Ink
You need: 5 blue ink and 4 red ink
 White Ink
you need: 5 red ink, 5 blue ink and 5 green ink
What can I do with my rare bugs?
You can also trade your rare bugs in for ink. Below is a list with the ink you will get for 1 rare bug.
Golden Legs: you get 1 gold, 1 yellow and 1 green ink
The Whistler: you get 1 yellow and 1 black ink
Rhino Beetle: you get 1 brown and 1 black ink
Great Monarch: you get 1 orange, 1 white and 1 black ink
Demonfly: you get 1 black and 1 red ink
Purple Fly: you get 1 red and 1 purple ink

You can have any I get. I just need green and black really so long as the shirt we customize can be white. I will also prolly need a pink at some point, but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. xp

Judging by the blue on the flower wrappings, I ought to be okay. Also, I've been drawn so many different shades, pretty much any blue will work. XD
