An attack upon the nearby village of Konoha has raised alarm amongst the shinobi of Takigakure- the Village Hidden in the Waterfall. Their country, being one of the lesser-known villages in the world remains uninvolved with Otogakure and Konohagakure mainly out of fear of being obliterated by Sound. Keeping this in mind, Waterfall has isolated itself from any and all affairs involving Konoha and Oto.
They are also aware that staying out of the fray, however, could mean to sacrifice a possible ally in Konohagakure or even Otogakure- camaraderie they may not afford to pass.

(Xia Emiko)
Emiko checked in on her parents one last time. They were both still asleep. She checked her equipment pouch again. When she was satisfied that she had what she would need, she began heading towards the front door of their house.
She didn't want to leave them alone for fear of them getting really sick again. Her mentor had assured her that he would look after them while she was gone, but she couldn't help but worry about them. With a sigh, she turned back around and walked to the front door.
When she put her hand on the doorknob, she paused. Emiko, you are a Chuunin. You have gone outside of the village before. This should be nothing new. And it wasn't. She just didn't like the thought of leaving her parents alone. She had done it before, but that had been a mission given to her. She was doing this of her own will.
She grabbed her cloak that she had by the door and put it on. She left the hood down and turned to doorknob. She pulled the door open and walked out. When she closed the door and took a deep breath, renewed determination came to her. "I can do this. I have to do this." She said as she started walking towards the waterfall that hid their village.
She nodded to some of the villagers. Some of her close friends knew where she was headed because she had told them. They supported her and had wanted to go but she told them no. She had to do this alone. When the waterfall came into view, she stopped and looked back at the village. "No more stalling." With that, the brunnette with silver bangs put the hood over her head and turned to the waterfall, disappearing through the other side.
