Hayfever. mad
No idea what Americans call it, but it's hayfever.

Allergies?

I call it hayfever, and I have it too! My sympathies, Jacky ...

Luckily, I don't get hayfever. Or allergies. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones?

The only thing I'm allergic to is a medicine called Cechlor. It's used for really bad ear infections, which (unfortunately) I used to get chronically when I was a child.

I had hayfever so bad as a child that I went and got a complete allergy scratch test battery. Once they figured out which things I was allergic to, based on the scratches that turned into huge, hot, raised welts, they proceeded to inject me with the allergens in question once or twice a week for a year or so. Oh, joy. It's called desensitization, under the assumption that if you get enough of the allergen in your system, your body finally loses its sensitivity to it and then you aren't allergic any more. Except the immunity only lasts a couple of years and then you have to go through all that again. Kind of witch-doctory to me, in retrospect. I'm still allergic, but I just try to stay away from the offending plants.

I like peanuts ... too bad, Burger, especially since they put them in so many things these days.

Fortunately, I'm not allergic to any foods. As the allergist said, "You can't breathe, but at least you can eat."

Damn! I'm in a similar situation, except my nose is blocked with a cold... SO ANNOYING!!! I can't sleep at night crying
