It really makes me wonder sometimes. People keep telling that males and females can''t have real friendship because there would always be some sexual part in between. And it makes me wonder how hard it must be for us bi people to have real friendship?

I can just tell for myself, I guess I''ve found some true friends. But nevertheless I can''t really deny it that some sexual thoughts about the one or the other of them comes up. So I wonder if this is just me, I don''t consider myself being that fixed on sexuality, but still it happens. Do the others of you also have this feelings sometimes? Do you feel bad about them? Do you speak with the others about it? If so, how do they react?

Just some simple rules for this thread: The usual guild rules, pretty please read them. I think you are cute if you guess this is a nice thread and you want to bump it, but don''t. all of my friends are bi, and yeah, i do think about them in that way sometimes, but we know not to make a move like that.

Ah I knew that already, but yes I do the same thing, I get over it and move on.

I do. It's very hard for me sometimes. I have told the friends that this has happened with, and they understand. They don't find me gross or perverted or anything, because they know they are just thoughts, and nothing is ever going to actually happen.

Well, I'm gay and I've never had any sexual thoughts about my best friend, or any of my other friends. They're just my friends... We're already closer than family, so maybe that's why. @_@

I have lots of friends who i love but in no-way could ever view sexually. And then there are others who i'd jump ontop of in a minute. I don't believe these feelings discriminate through gender (as you said with male/female friendships)/sexual preferances.

just a quick following on comment, sorta off/on topic- i had the most vivid dream that i had sex with my bestfriend the other night (my first sex dream ever!) and i havent seen him since. I'm scared it may effect the way i usually (plutonically) see him. I have been obsessing over it to the point of infactuation, so if anyone has ever experienced a similar thing, a PM would be greatly appreciated with your story/advice. Thanks! whee

At one party once I got a bit drunk, and then told the host who is one of my best friends that I adore him... *blushes* He told me that he's pleased but not into gay relationships... This was some years ago, we're still good friends. But it makes me still feel a bit bad. In fact he is more or less the only true male friend I ever had.

Took me a bit to write this down... I hope I'm not confusing you too much, maybe you might want to read my My Introduction (a bit further down the page) to understand better...
