Every time some lifer screams about abortion being murdering innocent children, or hell, most of the time when lifers try pulling at emotions, I feel a pang in my chest. Something in my head seems to like telling me that I should think abortion is bad and I should become pro-life.
Anyone else have something like this? It's probably normal empathy, I know, and I think it takes a strong will to be able to assert oneself and argue for choice =D
EDIT: I now wish to ask someone if they lack a functioning cerebrum.

I've gotten feelings like that before, but they normally go away after a few minutes.

It happened to me once. turned out it was indigestion. I just made sure to chew my fetus pie more thorougly and I've been fine since.

I feel that way too. Then again, who likes to be called a murderer? However, that's the beauty, IMO, of being a pro-choice. You can be against abortion, but still respect those who decide, for whatever reasons, to undergo the procedure. Abortion isn't black and white, and pro-choicers seem to accept the gray more than pro-lifers.

There was a letter in one of the Arkasas papers today.
The b*****d compared 9/11, the Holocaust and abortion, and said the person he was responding to should hang his head in shame, because of the "pweshus babies being murdered".
I got that kind of white hot rage pass through me. You know, like when you could kill someone and walk away calmly.
Yeah.

They have nothing to do with abortion. OMG! That's just wrong. You aren't killing the kid like they killed them. In fact it's a lot more humane to have an abortion than to have that same kid deal with abuse later because it wasn't wanted. Jesus! Some people just don't have a flipping brain. Don't let them influence you. Think for yourself.

Yes, I often feel a bit guilty during abortion debates, but I get over that for the sake of my arguments. The born beat the unborn any day.

That makes me feel guilty as well, and when a mildly intelligent pro-lifer comes by, I at times get ashamed of myself. But then when I think about being forced to carry something I never wanted to be there inside of me for nine months, I remember what I'm really fighting for.

Like making firebombs. And using them on conservative churches filled with pro-lifers. Hey, if they get to do it to us, turn about it fair play.

I can't say I feel guilty. I feel ANGRY. Angry that someone wants to put their religious beliefs before my reproductive rights. Angry that someone wants to force another life into poverty or abuse. Angry that someone would want me, a woman, to go through nine months of HELL just because they don't want me to remove something brainless from my body.

I'd enjoy it as much as you would, but there's a better chance we'll be taken seriously if we have the maturity not to blow things up. That's a lot coming from me. I'm not mature at all.

Nobody is for abortion. What we're for is privacy and freewill.

No, I never get pangs of emotion. Why? I know they are completely and utterly wrong. I look at the hypocriscy of all their statements and wonder how can they be so deluded. I don't want quantity, I want quality. This world doesn't have room for quantity anymore. I want a child who has grown up with stable parents and gotten a good education. If abortion can prevent potential children who have to fight for everything, who have to struggle for everything which is an unfair life and generally don't turn out well -- then I'd rather them never be born. More good comes out of abortion than bad.
