Physical Appearence:

Bastion looks like Bastion. He's somewhat lanky, arms a tad wire like, legs the same. He doesn't look unhealthy, but he looks more like a twiggy stereotypical bookworm than a buff stereotypical jock, understand? He's actually somewhat short, height about 5'6" rather than anywhere near 6'0", which many may consider an average height. No, that doesn't make him unhealthy, but he is shorter than 6'0", thus he's going to look a lot younger than he really is. However, his height is not the real feature that makes him seem younger, it's his face. Bastion has these somewhat large midnight blue eyes that are always open and twinkling with emotions of any sort, generally excitement. His face is highly animated, and because of this he tends to look a lot younger, and less mature, than he really is. The youngest one may mistake him for is seventeen. As far as the build goes: Bastion has broad shoulders, but a small frame. In other words, he's slender, but he has a broad shoulder span. His head is somewhat narrow, not rounded, although he does have apparent cheeks. Neck is average in length, not quite long, not quite small, just the average view of a neck. Resting atop his head is a mop of brown hair, often left unbrushed. However, this hair is not so messy that it seems frizzy or completely untaken care of. It's simply out of place in a few areas, which provides a messy, boyish appeal to it. The hair seems longer in the front than it is in the back, for the hair in the back clings to the base of his neck while the front is aloft and free, flopping whenever it so desires to.

But, that's just the physical details, lacking colorations. Bastion is a creamy peach color, although he does seem to have a bit of a tan to him. It's a light tan, hardly noticable, but his skin is tinted to a somewhat dusty tone. Eyes are, as stated, midnight blue, very dark in color, not quite black, but not quite blue, just dark blue. Hair is a medium shade of brown, hardly sandy, hardly muddy, a bit like the bark on an oak tree. The last thing I neglected to mention was the dull dirt birthmark that covers a good amount of his left shoulder. If he is ever shown without a shirt it is important to know about the massive splotch that is his birthmark.

As for the attire: He seems fond of long sleeved button up shirts, particularly flannal ones of plad designing. It's common to see him in one of those shirts. However, he leaves these plad flannal shirts unbuttoned and wears a t-shirt of any random designing under it. In other words, he has a layered outfit. T-shirt of any design, usually with a soda-pop logo or an old film title on it, though, and a flannal plad shirt ontop of it, left unbuttoned. Generally the shirts are white or something of light coloration. The flannal shirts range in color, although Bastion is most commonly seen in a blue one with black thrown in to create the plad pattern. The pants are simple, just a pair of loose fitting black jeans. The final details to the outfit are also fairly simplistic. Bastion only wears tennis shoes when outdoors, for he afraid of hook worms, snakes, toxin-carrying bugs, the likes! Ahem, so Bastion is going to be seen in a pair of close toed, closed heeled shoes. I recommend a sort of converse look, black converses. However, feel free to experiment with shoe designing if so desired. Finally, the glasses and the always carried bag! Bastion wears a pair of thick-square framed glasses, black in color, except for the lenses. He is never seen without these glasses, just as he is never seen without his L.F.L knap sack. The L.F.L. Knap sack is a typical bag that is colored a forest green. Plated onto it in white letters is, obviously, L.F.L.

There are some optional belongings that can be shown with him. Only one is going to be mentioned, though, because it's important! That item? The video camera! If possible, Bastion should be shown with his camera in every picture ever drawn of him, unless it's fan art or something. The camera is a very important item to him and he never goes anywhere without it. There are times he sets it aside and leaves for a moment or so, but if he's gone for a long period of time it's safe to assume he's taken his camera with him. The camera is actually fairly small. It's one of those modern day video cameras with the tiny tapes that need to be transfered to larger tapes, etc. However, the little tapes can be played on his camera, thus what he films is watchable. It's coloration is ink black, except for the silver 'Sony' logo on the side of it.

Personality:

Bastion is, to be as blunt as possible, somewhat spazzy. He's very fidgety and difficult to get to sit still, and this can often cause problems when one is trying to get something across to him. The extent of this fidgeting is actually rather mild. He has no real need to get up and walk around. What defines it, then? His hands. Bastion has the excessive need to move his hands around, especially when he talks. He's usually waving them around, drumming them on a table, anything! Just note that Bastion comes off as a bit of a spaz due to the fact that he just can't keep from moving his hands most of the time.

He's a very enthusiastic young man. He seems dedicated and on track, always following his mission goals, never giving up until he is positive there is no way to win. In short, Bastion is very... Out there. If he broke a leg he'd probably try to walk on it without a crutch until it sank in that he couldn't, and shouldn't, do it. This can give him a somewhat stubborn appeal, one that either makes him look like an idiot or a brave man. As for his enthusiasm! Bastion gets excited about a lot of things. There are, obviously, certain activities that do not thrill him. But, for the most part, he's usually happy and eager to be active in helping or something of the sort. Once again, this enthusiasm tends to make him seem quirky. He's just very out, very eager and jumpy, social and slightly demanding of attentions, always wanting to befriend people rather than make enemies.

For a moment let's focus on some of his basic natures. Bastion hates conflict with others. He does't like to fight, he hates people yelling, and he definetly doesn't like it when people seclude him. This leaves him with a sort of clinging nature. Bastion will latch onto anyone who happens to display a bit of kindness. If they so much as say 'hello' he'll probably have them on a subconsious list of friends, which means he won't be shy about running up to them, saying hi, talking, or anything of the sort. He'll just go to them, unless he notices they're occupied. Bastion is social, but he isn't the sort to interupt a conversation between two people by rushing inbetween them. If he sees people are occupied in a personal conversation, or something of that sort, he will either wait, or he'll go do something else. But, returning to the clinging. Bastion trusts everyone almost instantly. Give him a wave, say hello, be nice, he'll cling and he just won't let you go. However, there are ways to shake him off. Those include most negitive actions towards him, such as insulting him, fighting with him, etc. To shake Bastion you have to make him feel bad. Although, this doesn't always work. Sometimes it'll just make him feel bad and he'll avoid a person for a long while, not looking at them, slipping away if they come near. Basically, if someone cuts ties with Bastion in that sort of manner he's going to run off and try to forget them, erase them from memory. There are nicer ways to limit his clinging. One way is to ask for personal space. He'll generally back off for a while if someone tells him they need him to back away.

His need for attention is something completely set in his childhood, and you'll be able to pick out the basis for this when you read. Bastion doesn't like to be alone. Being alone usually upsets him, disturbs him. He feels very uneasy when no one is around. Lonely. But, this is not just being by himself, this can include being in a group of people where he isn't a slight focus point, or where there is no equal-attention system. If everyone blocks him out he tends to get a little lonesome and upset. That shows in his facial expressions and body motions. When in such situations he tends to lower his head, keep his eyes off of people, or just on the ground. He gets quiet, and the fidgeting ceases. In short, there is a complete alteration of personality the moment Bastion is left alone or set off to the side. Which... Is why inviting him on a date rendevouz is a terrible idea. Regardless, such situations would likely arise, thus it is important to know that Bastion is somewhat sensitive when he doesn't feel as if he is included in the group. He likes to be included, he likes to help, and he really loves to talk. All of these bind into one basic desire: Acceptance.

Now then, there are a few more thing I'd like to elaborate on. Bastion and people shaking him off in a rough manner. Doing such things results in his drifting away and trying to forget. However, that's just the outward appeal. What happens inside after such things is something obvious. Bastion breaks with rough break ups. He gets touchy about the topic, and this is where his anger issues begin to make themselves obvious. Bastion is not a violent person. He is petrified of violence and conflict. But, he himself has an anger complication. If anyone were to confront him about a rough break up, be it an actual relationship or a friendship, he won't respond very well. At first he may seem a little distant, but if things continue he will explode. This explosion may be verbal, or it may be physical. It's difficult to tell what he'll do, for his anger seems to fluxuate with people depending on his relations with them, and depending on what they are inquiring about. But, anyway, the point of this paragraph is to understand that Bastion generally drifts away from everyone immedietly after someone shakes him off. He begins to want to be alone, and moving in on him to comfort him, etc., often results in an outburst of anger.

Next, I want to recap the loneliness and attention. Bastion's anger issue is also visible here. If he excuses himself and someone checks to make sure he is okay, or even just goes to talk to him in general, he'll be a little wild. His anger will show more through a reluctance to speak than an outburst. However, if someone pushes at him, which means pries into the sections of 'what's wrong', he'll likely have an outburst. Bastion has difficulty talking about the things that upset him. Being questioned about such things often just makes him mad. So, yes! His anger issue is also an emotional issue. He bottles his feelings up, doesn't let them out until the bottle can't hold anything more. This is what creates the violent outbursts, his building things up rather than letting it out in small amounts.

The final thing I want to cover is Bastion's obsession with films. Bastion wants to be a film maker. Unfortunately, that's not working out for him. He's not exactly skilled, but he's not exactly bad. In other words, he works wonderfully with a camera, but he isn't good at coming up with ideas. Everything he seems to come up with is rather... Dull? The exact word is difficult to say. But, know that he isn't 'wow!' when dreaming up screen plays. He can direct and such, but actually inventing a film is an entirly different story. He just lacks that sort of creativity, or so it seems. Regardless, Bastion is blind to such a thing and strives anyway. He works hard and is often talkative about projects, or willing to show people what he's working on. This film obsession is more of an extreme passion than an obsession. It's also a sanity sake. I mentioned hardly a moment ago that Bastion has an anger complex. Well, filming things and planning things tends to ease his mind and calm him down, thus it is a fantastic venting tool. If one ever wants to cheer him up or calm him down they can fetch his video camera and hand it to him.

Alright, I lied. I want to cover his hatred of his father.

Bastion hates talking about his father for a lot of reasons. He never had hard feelings for the man until a specific area in his history where beatings occured. Quite obviously, Bastion isn't happy about that, and he isn't happy about the fact that he was thrown out of the house either. Because of this Bastion tends to get testy when the topic of his father arises. Comparing him to his father, although no one should know the man unless they've spoke to me and want to establish a connection of some sort, is a mistake. If he confides and tells someone about his father's issues late in his life and they turn around to tell him he is just like his father Bastion is going to be beyond angry. He will not forgive someone for comparing him to his father, understand? It's a very delicate topic. Even requesting information on Bastion' family life can result in bad anger outbursts against nothing in particular. He won't kill someone because they ask, but he will get angry and yell a lot.

History:

Bastion was supposedly born to the couple of Johnathan Gordon and Emily Watson (Gordon, obviously) in Chicago, Illinois on September 3rd, 1981. He was their only child, thus was fairly well taken care of up until a rough patch of life. But, that is to be covered in a moment. Focusing on early life: Bastion's family was hardly poor. They lived a decent life, could make it and have a little time for fun. But, a lot of the time they spent was spent within the home or at the house of relatives, where Bastion was center focus as the only male grandchild/nephew in the Gordon and Watson families. He had a fine elementary life, befriending people and playing games of wild pretend, particularly spoofs of Indiana Jones or James Bond. He was well accomplished, very bright in the field of reading and language, but lacking in the departments of science and math, for his logic seemed skewed and set on a more philosophical plain. Rather than accepting things as fact he would inquire as to why it was fact and how people knew such things, which often led to confusion in his mind. He had difficulty accepting things like 2+2 is 4, and that fish can't breathe unless underwater, etc. At age ten he was given a video camera by his grandfather, John's father. This was the start of his love for filming things. Bastion went wild with the camera and filmed everything he possibly could, consuming tapes faster than his consuming of food. He began to film games of pretend and make plots for them, began to get a little controlling of people and demand respect, listening, obedience. In short, at age seven Bastion became a wannabe director and his life remained on that course from that point to the present time, for he discovered his love of film through his first camera. However, obviously, there are other factors that have led him into the pursuing of such an occupation and life.

At age fifteen his mother divorced his father, for things had started falling apart after Bastion turned twelve, and by fifteen it had all just collapsed. His father had become an alcoholic and his mother had been having an affair with a man named Adam Lexington. The family was split and there was little argument about who Bastion was to go to. Bastion was handed over to his mother, his father dissapearing from his life except for occasional phone calls. For the most part, Bastion's mother also dissapeared from his life. She became consumed by Adam, and eventually their new baby girl, Sarah. Bastion became somewhat of a side-child, just there because of a previous marriage that had gone wrong. Adam was troublesome, and is still so, for Bastion, constantly trying to get close. However, Bastion recognizes Adam as the one who destroyed his family life by means of invasion. Thus, family life got a little weird for Bastion. His visits to his grandparents stopped on all ends, which cut out Bastions only real source of affections for the time period. His mother became detached, swooning and focusing on Sarah, which often led to jealousy bouts between the two siblings, which continue to the very day. At age seventeen, Bastion became fed up with his mother, Sarah, and Adam. He left and went to stay with his father, who was living in a run down area of the city with a new-old girlfriend he'd been affairing with long before the divorce with Emily. To Bastion's suprise, his father had also started a whole new life. He was engaged to the woman named Georgina Klemens and had a son named William. But, none of this seemed to bother Bastion. He got along fantastically with Georgina, and William, who was roughly five years old when Bastion first met him, was considered a valuable sibling, unlike Sarah. His relationship with his father began to build and Bastion began to have the sort of life he wanted. Affections were shared, there was no detachment, and no one was forcing him to settle and accept how things were. He became fond of the family life up until conflict once again entered his life.

Sebastion was twenty one years old and making his way through college so that he could work towards becoming a film maker. His father had been in disapproval of the idea of him becoming a film maker, but, regardless, had helped collect the fundings to aid in putting him through the proper schooling. Somewhere along the line all relations crumpled. Georgina left, completely dissapeared, and that left Bastion and William alone with Johnathan. Things got tight and John, a man with an anger complex, began to lash out at both boys. Beatings were frequent, verbal abuse, many things. Bastion became somewhat defiant until a final blow to his pride: being thrown out of the house. William fought and tried to run away with Bastion, but failed. It is unknown what happened to the child. Regardless, Bastion seems to have a slight desire to find the boy and get ahold of him. That desire is alive in the present, be it pre-island or island, Bastion wants William back. They had a sort of strange older sibling-younger sibling bond.

After being thrown out of the house, things began to get a little rough. Bastion had to quit school all together, and paying rent for an apartment was difficult. He struggled up until the age of twenty three, when he met Lewis Le'mar and Alexis Robins, two individuals who were part of an organization known as 'L.F.L', Life for Life, also commonly refered to as 'Love for Life', both names are valid, considering at one point in the organization history it was refered to as 'Love for Life'. Anyway, Bastion met Lewis and Alexis after he lost his apartment and most of his belongings. They offered to help him and, reluctantly, he accepted their offer and got back on his feet, choosing to live with them in the end and help out the L.F.L., which is basically a charity organization bent on helping the unfortunate. The three of them became sworn siblings when Bastion was twenty four, and that same year they moved to Ontario, Canada for unknown reasons, possibly just for a change in setting.

From the point of meeting Lewis and Alexis to the present nothing amazing has happened. Bastion has been semiactive in the L.F.L and has been back on the road to trying to become a big shot film maker. He has been living with Lewis Le'mar and Alexis Robins in a three room apartment, and he has been working at a diner called 'Sunny Side Up'.

How does your character get to/why was your character chosen for the Island? :

Bastion has always been intrested in foreign areas, mostly for film inspiration purposes. In the case of the island: he was flipping through the mail when he came across a pamphlet advertising a free 'island adventure' trip, all one needed to do was write a letter about why they wanted the trip, and send a picture. The pamphlet caught his attention and, after a long talk with Lewis and Alexis, he applied for said trip, not really knowing whether or not it was garenteed to him. After a while of waiting he recieved a 'ticket' confirming his little island adventure trip.

As for why Bastion was chosen... Who know? XD; Maybe it's the fact that in his application he sounded like an easy to snag person who wouldn't fight much? Or maybe whoever saw his picture thought he'd look better with a little modification?

What Animal(s)/Plant(s)/Dinosaur Serum do you want?: Black-tailed Prairie Dog

Why This Animal/Plant For Your Character? :

Bastion is incredibly social, very out there and fidgety, loves to communicate... After a little reading on Prairie Dogs I discovered that they are social animals with an advanced communications system, which, to me, screams Bastion! There is also a hidden meaning developed from something I just foreshadow: Bastion is social and clingy, and this is bound to make someone hate him/believe he is a pest. Prairie Dogs are shunned by those in the agricultural industry due to the fact that they supposedly damage the crops. Prairie Dogs are considered 'pests', Bastion is bound to be considered somewhat of a pest himself.

Side Notes:

Anemia Need-To-Knows

Bastion is often subjected to easy fatigue, weakness, shortness of breath, things of the like. He can't work himself very hard, which means running around the whole day without a break or food is out of the question. Bastion needs to rest and eat specific types of food to keep him going and somewhat strong. Typically, such food happens to be rich in iron. Tea, coffee, wheat bran, green leafy vegetables, rhubarb, chocolate, soft drinks, red wine, ice cream, and candy bars should be avoided. However, it's safe to assume that having one once in a while won't kill him. However, it is recommended he not be fed or given such items for his own well being.

Anger Complex

Bastion fears becoming what his father became and he hates being told he has anger issues. However, it is true. Bastion became subject to anger outbursts after his father began beating both William and he. Because of this his anger complex is messy and he has difficulty controling what he does when angry. He may try to beat someone up, although, more than likely, he'd lose the fight. Just know that his outbursts have levels. The lowest is, obviously, glares or stares. Mid level would be verbal, high level would be physical violence.

Mr. Biggles

Mr. Biggles belonged to William. xD; When Bastion got kicked out of the house, William threw Mr. Biggles at him. Bastion hasn't let go of the stuffed tiger since then. It's like a memoir item. Very important to him, even more important than his camera.

Lewis and Alexis

I'm toying around with the ideas. However, if Bastion is gone for a long time, Alexis and Lewis will be concerned, thus they may enter the picture in the form of another quest. XD; They're all very close. Lewis and Alexis practically treat Sebastion like... Well, a five year old child. They parent him and worry constantly, thus if they never hear from Bastion and he is just gone they are likely to be concerned. I'm working out details on what to do about this. Bastion has no real ties outside of those two, so if something were to happen no one would really know or care, except for maybe his employer, who might just consider he finally ran off and got sick of waiting tables.

In short, Alexis and Lewis are free ground for future questing, or I may just exterminate them through some vile off-island plot that no one is really going to want to hear about? XD; Either way, Alexis and Lewis might play some roles if I work up the nerve to quest for them after acquiring Bastion. -random-

Scientific Name: Cynomys ludovicianus
General Information:
"Prairie dogs are small, stout-bodied, burrowing rodents with shallow cheek pouches native to the grasslands of North America.
An average prairie dog's size is 12 to 16 inches (30 to 40 cm) long. In the United States, prairie dogs are primarily found west of the Mississippi River, but they have been introduced into a few eastern locales.
Prairie dogs are highly social animals which live in large towns formed by single families of one male and 2 to 4 females. They have up to 4 pups, one time a year, which are born blind and without fur and need about 30 days of close nurturing by their mother. Recent research indicates that prairie dogs have relatively sophisticated vocal communication abilities, including many of the characteristics of language.

Ecologist consider this rodent to be a keystone species, for multiple reasons. They are an important prey species, being the primary diet in prairie species such as the Black-footed Ferret, the Swift Fox, the Golden Eagle, the Badger and the Ferruginous Hawk. Other species, such as the Mountain Plover and the Burrowing Owl also rely on prairie dog burrows for nesting areas. Even grazing species, such as Bison, Pronghorn and Mule Deer have shown a proclivity for grazing on the same land used by prairie dogs. It is believed that they prefer the vegetative conditions after prairie dogs have foraged through the area.

Prairie dog tunnel systems are believed to help channel rainwater into the water table to prevent runoff and erosion, and also can serve to change the composition of the soil in a region by reversing soil compaction that can be a result of cattle grazing. Prairie dogs are also known to control the populations of several weed species, such as mesquite, which has been found to overrun some lands where prairie dogs are no longer found.

Despite their ecological importance, prairie dogs are frequently exterminated from ranchland, being labelled as a pest because they are capable of damaging crops, and often clear the immediate area around their burrows of most vegetation. Their habitat has been fragmented, and their numbers have been greatly reduced. The Utah prairie dog was listed as an endangered species but due to pressure from land owners it was downgraded to a threatened species and their population continues to decline There are only an estimated 4,000 animals left in the wild. Likewise, petitions have been made to protect the Gunnison's Prairie Dog, but pressures from land owners has slowed the process, despite what is believed to be a 90% decline in their historical population. The largest remaining community is comprised of Black-tailed Prairie Dog, and though the United States Fish and Wildlife Service determined that they were species that warranted a recovery plan and protection as an endangered species, there are currently no plans to do so.

Black-tailed Prairie Dogs are generally tan in color, with a lighter colored belly. Their tail has a black tip on it, which is where their name is derived from. Adults can weigh from 1.5 to 3 lb, males are typically heavier than females. Body length is normally from 11 to 13 inches, with a 3 to 4 inch tail. They have small ears, but keen hearing, and small, dark eyes, with good vision." (Wikipedia; Prairie Dog Article / Black-Tailed Prairie Dog Article)

Highlighted Information and Misc. Bastion Information

The bolded information within the article cut out are the primary connections to Bastion's personality. He loves to connect through vocalization, language, and he is an incredibly social man. As Prairie Dogs are considered intelligable in terms of language and are social creatures it is a delightful choice as a transformation for Bastion.

What will Sebastion be like at the time of arrival?

-rofls- Well, he might think he won this awesome island adventure that he can film and draw inspiration from. However, the moment he lays eyes on the situation and recognizes everything he is definetly going to be disturbed. To be blunt, Bastion, upon recognizing he did not win a wonderful trip, is going to be the equivalent of a "MOMMY!" screaming lunatic. That is, until someone calms him down. He'll be a little weird, though. Definetly petrified, confused?

What specific details can you reveal about his mental
stability/instability progression throughout his stay?

biggrin Oh. This depends on roleplay more than my individual preference. -shelters plot diagrams- However, let's just say Bastion's mental stability will fluxuate. The severeness of this is a secret, but he will be slightly unstable sometime during the 50% era.

What compelled the anemic bit?

I'm not sure what brought the idea of the weakness about. Maybe just to add to Bastion's helplessness? He's highly in need of others, just can't live on his own. I was actually just leaning towards something capable of prompting easy fatigue, shortness of breath, etc. While researching, I came across anemia, which, to my understanding, is a decreased amount of hemoglobin/iron that prompts easy fatigue, weakness, etc.

However, if I have something wrong do correct me. Or better, if anyone has suggestions on other complications that achieve the same sort of symptoms as anemia refer me to them! I'm still scouting for alternatives, better choices. Regardless, the fact that Bastion is anemic came from the idea that he should be percieved as somewhat of a helpless individual, somewhat of a burden and an annoyance. He is the Piggy to someone else's Ralph. xD;

What is Mr. Biggles? WHY does he have that thing?

Mr. Biggles was William's stuffed tiger. William and Bastion were close. William threw Mr. Biggles at Bastion before he left. Bastion loves Mr. Biggles because it belonged to William, understand? Think of it as a trinket/gift from a sibling you may never see again in your life. People say they hate their siblings, some do, but if you're never going to see the person again, and your relationship isn't that bad, you are, obviously, going to treasure any belonging they may have gifted to you.

Bastion's Camera and Tapes

Source of entertainment? XD; And a link to Bastion's past. He'll actually have tapes filmed before the arrival, of the few last days he spent with Alexis and Lewis. These tapes contain what his life once was, and they represent something vital.

As for Bastion's camera: It's a sanity sake. He loves that camera! It's also the only way to watch his tapes, unless someone develops them and he has a V.C.R. or something. -laughs- Bastion will likely film fragments of life on the island, probably of people he likes, and these will be a comparison to what the old life of his was like. What does this foretell? Hmm...

Character Personality:

Character Background:

Describe Your Ideal 100% Appearence:

By 100% Bastion should have altered considerably. He will not grow any larger, but he will have rounded out a bit around the face. His cheeks will have puffed out to resemble that of a chipmunk. The nose will have become a small snout identical to that of the species of which he is to become. The rounded human ears he once possessed will vanish, shrink into a pair of petite ones that are round and similar to a mouse's, but less obvious on the head, like little things that seem nonexsistant. His legs will have become thicker, and his arms will have, seemingly, become thinner, thus providing a sort of stronger-weaker limb appearence to him. The brown hair that has always sat atop his head should still be evident, a tuft sitting there. However, the hair has, by this time, extended to all regions of the body, consuming the skin and creating a pelt. This pelt is sleek, although it does not appear to hold a grease appeal. By sleek I mean that it is not poofy, but thin. The small tail attached to the animal is now obvious, extending from the tail bone. The tip of said tail is black. As for his eyes! Eyes! Bastion's blue eyes will remain blue as they possibly can be, a deep ocean blue that seems almost black except for when one is really looking at them. The whites around the eyes have been covered, which makes the midnight blue optics strictly that, midnight blue, and shining. His teeth have also changed. The front have grown larger, although they do not appear to be obviously any larger. Just note that they extend more than when he first arrived on the island.

Expressions, stature... This will depend more on roleplay. Obviously, when Bastion first starts changing he'd have been freaked out. However, by the time he reaches 100% it's difficult to say if he'll be upset or if he'll be contented. The expression and overall feel to him is a roleplay based thing, thus I couldn't tell you what the look on his face will be like. Maybe he'll be nostalgic? Or perhaps he'll show nothingness, just contentment and settlement with his fate? That's a mystery. I recommend you keep his clothes, though. Bastion is self concious. He wouldn't want to be seen without his clothing. Not even the fur would make him feel comfortable. At least give him his shirt and flannal shirt, right? The glasses, by this period in time, will have vanished off the trace of the earth.

What Do You Think Really Makes This Concept? Why You?:

I couldn't say. I suppose it's Bastion's quirky charm. He's so social and clingy, and he just seems to have an air about him that screams he'd be a fine person to interact with in a semi-horror scenerio. His obsessions and passions, goals and dreams, and the life he will have no longer due to the island will all offer story runs and heavy plotting. He wants to be a film maker, he has a camera, he's on an island where unspeakable things are happening. What do you think he is going to try to do? He may film it all and try to get the tapes out there so people can see! Of course, I highly doubt Moreau or anyone on the staff would approve of his exposing such information, right? In short, I feel Bastion has a lot to offer in terms of a story line. His anger complexes can possibly be fixed, controled, his dream of making films may come true to provide entertainment of some sort for islanders, the whole 'Let's make a tape and get it to the world!' scenerio is screaming too. Bastion just has story potential, and that, to me, makes his concept.

As for me, why me? Once again, don't ask. I can't tell you because I don't know. I don't know what to say. Er... I love plots. I love to go on full scale plot runs, and I love to create conflicts for characters, create scenerios and such that can send chills up spines, tug at heart strings, make people smile. I like to plot, and I suppose I can offer IoDM some full-scale plot runs with Bastion. I love roleplay, so it's doubtful I won't roleplay, unless I can't find it for some reason, which is doubtful. So, h-ey! Let's go with those! I love to roleplay and I love to make up plot runs, be they agonizingly sad or freaky happy, and I can offer both with hardly any long-scale planning. Quick planner, so it doesn't take me forever to think of ways to twist and turn in a plot run, and I'm generally good at getting my plots out there, aye? In short, plots, plots, more plots, and I'd love to socialize with awesome people. XD; The end!

Bastion: -blinks- Oh, well... -clears throat-

D: Got him started...

Bastion: I film what I see most of the time. Don't have a script going, not yet, but I'm working on it, but, until then, why not scout for a cast? There's no better way to scout for a cast than to see how they act on camera! Some people are terrible actors when the camera's rolling, but when it's off they're superb. The key thing is to find a cast that is perfect on both ends so that... -rambling continues-

But, that's just generalities and uses for filming people you see. -grins and lowers camera-

whee Glad to hear you two approve!
